http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/sports/football/rookie-qb-ryan-tannehill-maintains-his-cool-even-a/nR6nF/ He knows he has a lot to learn but he isn't freaking out either.
I kind of want to reply, "well what do you want him to say, doom and gloom, i suck, im going to be a bust", but i wont! I think no matter how tempered a fan's expectations are we always want our team to win. I like some things about yesterday, without those flurried 5 minutes, that game remains a close one. This team is young and as long as they learn from their mistakes and take postive steps each week, that's really all you can expect as a fan. I like most dont expect any team i root for to go undefeated, if that happens, well awesome, but there are going to be losses and it cant mean the sky is falling everytime. Thats why there are 17 weeks in the NFL season, let's see where we are then and then make judgements.
I agree with you completely. As a fan I want wins and (I admit it) flawless play from everybody represented. At the same time I understand that they will get better and the wins will come soon. I am almost positive of that.
I thought the comment about that first INT was interesting. “On that first interception,” said Tannehill, “I thought the location was good and the time was good but he just made a great play on it."
Yeah i saw that too, blaming your reciever without actually saying out loud....shows you what tanny thinks of Nannee(sp?)
Don't even get me started on the effort level on Naanee on that pass. He basically jogged to his spot and then jogged after the defender. I had defended him on the basis of his measurables and the fact that we can't see what happens with a WR on many plays but after seeing effort THAT bad....no more.
Or...now bear with me here...he's saying Jonathan Joseph, one of the elite CB's in the NFL, made an elite play.
Rounding his route off, not making a sharp cut, not running his route at 100%, then he jogs after the int. hopefully not seeing him in the 2nd half is a sign of things to come. I can't stand players who give no effort, and he sucks on top of giving minimal effort.
Could you imagine Marino on that play? His face would have turned fiery red while he cussed out Nanee.
Would be nice to have the Legadu that appears at bout 35 seconds into this video. Goes up with his hands, outruns the defense and uses a nice little stiff arm. Where is the Legadu I see at 1:20? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnYrxKxECYI
Exactly we need more guys like Camarillo who give 100 percent effort even on Interceptions, where he goes and strips the ball back. I mean even Ted Ginn went a stripped the ball after a pick, though they called it a TD against the saints which ended up costing the game
I'm still miffed with the Pittsburgh game with what should have been Clemons play of his lifetime cause god knows he won't make another ;p
