That SOB, (Smith), got me arrested in Kansas City in 1991. The Dolphins took the opening drive all the way down and was getting ready to score a TD, when that SOB fumbled and the KC player took it back 95+ yards for a TD. Goddamnit, I got drunk, will, I might have already been drunk. I went for a little walk during the 4th quarter and got arrested. It's all Chads fault, come to think of it!

considering what Panthers said about Henning's mentality, maybe it was Henning. During his past 20 years in the league, what good QBs have turned up in his offenses compared to ones who did nothing? If Delhomme hypothetically is the exception to the rule, then why would the exception become the rule?

I was at the KC game, until the cops got me in the 4th Qtr. I don't drink anymore, been arrested 3 times because of it.

KAJ averaged 3.6 as a rookie. His 3 full seasons in Miami he averaged, 3.6, 3.2 and 3.6. for an overall 3.4 avg. He scored 32 rushing TDs in those 3 years.

KAJ totals as a rookie, 307 carries, 1116 yds, 3.6 avg and 11 TDs. You wouldn't take that from your #2 back?

What makes it funny now is that I was with 3 other friends and they didn't know what happened until I got to make a phone call from the police station in downtown KC somewhere.

26 TD's in his first two seasons. What is not to like about that type of production?

that didn't happen until after Reggie gashed them a few times IIRC.

Sometimes it IS that black and white. Sometimes it IS that simple. Henne certainly would NOT be the first QB to have an organization screw him up or not put him in the necessary position to succeed.

Of course Henne deserves some blame. He was a 2nd year starting QB.... but Henning was the chess master calling the show. Again, when opponents repeatedly trash how predictable an offense is, that's a sign of an OC who needs to hang it up. Hey, what do you know. lol.

I would be astonished if Thomas rushed for less than 3.9 YPC.

Well I didn't get to see the game, but from what I've read, it seems that Henne, Bush and Marshall all performed welll offensively...that the first team offense was in sync, or did the article I read leave out details that point to the contrary?

Wow, reading more stats from the game...granted it's merely preseason, but 417 total yards offense?? WOW!!!

One curious stat I don't get. Maybe I just need another cup of coffee, but 25 1st Downs, 12 rushing, 11 passing....12+11=23. Touchdowns counting as first downs as well?

I'm pumped! Not that we won a preseason game, but the numbers with our first stringers!! Could it be, barring anything disasterous, Miami's going to be able to have the naysayers eat crow?

Four more days and I'm outta this sh1thole called Afganistan and able to watch football back home...at least for 3 weeks any

I don’t know if Henne was too handcuffed or Henning was too old school and at this point it doesn’t really matter. Henne looked like an NFL QB tonight and the OL (other than Murtha’s penalties) looked very solid as well.

Add to that, Ireland has stocked the team with the most versatile group of playmakers I can remember in a very long time. If Henne has learned the art of throwing it away to live another play, I think these guys have a shot at being a very competitive team.

What sort of stood out for me is, Cam Newton is not a very effective Qb.

On the surface, the dogs of this game appear to be the offensive line and the defense in general, especially the first unit (abeit missing key starters). I am not very confident in the defense, particularily the defensive secondary. Good game for Matthews, Hogan for the most part, and Shelby.
