His bench (28), vertical (36.5), broad (10'06"), and 10 yard time (1.57) indicate some pretty good explosiveness. Add a phenomenal cone time (6.75) and a solid shuttle (4.15) with what seems to be a natural ability to set up a DB, and this kid seems like he could be a nice addition. It's no wonder guys can't cover him. Plus he's 6'1 215? Not bad.
Damn man, that's harsh. I agree, Jackie Long is gorgeous, but seeing Lauren next to her, I never even remotely thought of Mr Ed. Just two beautiful football wives.
Am I the only one who was dying when Samuda came in the meeting with a ***** on his head? haha Tannehill's singing was pretty comical as well.
Yeah, right how can you guys say she's "decent looking", I would love to see the wives of all you guys who are so quick to criticize.
Exactly... usually this is when it's a ghost town on here and I can go streaking nude through the forum. Oh well, I'm tired. Y'all have a fun party night!
No I know, I mean have you done a research or seen any practice footage..that kind of stuff? You're usually on it, that's why I asked.
Whatever side you're on regarding all the goings on shown on Hard Knocks, thats powerful television. HBO and NFL films are doing a fabulous job with this show. I didn't think too much of Lauren Tannehill when I saw several still shots, but she looks great on film. There are several gorgeous wives/girlfriends, and Lauren is second to none, IMO.
my quick (uneducated) opinions: about Wallace, it was not inspiring at all hearing the coaching staff's comments (did the also joked about his inability to separate and heavy ankles?) the section about Philbin's son was.... touching, moving, to say the least.... Egnew...wow... it was hard to watch the beating he took and it was very scary seeing him complaining he couldn't hear the snap count and seeing that he didn't know the play and so on... hoping that Hoganwill continue to develop... SS24 gave some good signals
this comes off as trollish since you are new here. And makes me question which AFCE team you really support? I think it was Wade #25 Dan Carpenter's wife? They showed her on HK? I must have missed that.
Coyle: "Ok Sean see that guy in front of you...thats actually Chad Johnson...he signed with a new team." Sean Smith: "Really? He doesn't look the same coach? Coyle: "No really that is him. Treat him like you did in practice the other day...You can do it son! Sean Smith: "I got this **** yo!" Coyle and the other coaches
pretty good article here..... http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...nal-compelling-television-033424650--nfl.html
Or that he knew he was on camera and didn't want to come off as a douche while 31 other teams are watching it...
Best moment of the series so far by a mile, Jim Turner standing alone in the rain, "I'm going to get f****** electrocuted". The media need to cotton onto the fact that this man isn't just a former marine, he is also a comic genius.
the drawings on the whiteboard... with the desks six inches higher.. that's laugh out loud comedy gold there.
Followed the path of the Jets? Yeah, why would we want that? They've only been to two AFC championship games in the past three years. I watch the Dolphins for enjoyment. I dont care how much they pay the guys, or if some of the guys are big mouths or jerks. It is entertainment and for a long time, they havent been very entertai9ning to watch. Some of you guys care too much about the inner workings of the team. We could have a team of 53 axe murderers, but if we won the super bowl, I wouldnt care.
Never understood what the 11 stood for in 7-11. I assume 7 means 7 days a week. 11 months a year??? lol.
Hard to say because we're not there. Can at best only get a general sense for what's going on but when we start cutting fine points about who among the top three is outperforming who, maybe that's not something we should assume. Ben Volin put it best: I think if we're not there, the finer the point, the less we can assume.
Yup, here we go. All of these message borards are the same. Someone with a few posts is a troll. Well, you had to start off at zero posts once too, guess you were a troll. I'm 41 years old and went to my first Dolphins game when I was 8. We beat the Bills and Tony Nathan had a punt return for a touchdown. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was aso a season ticket holder for 3 years. So just cause I dont have 11,103 posts, doesnt mean I'm not a fan or that you somehow know more about the Dolphins or football than I do.
The only practice footage I've seen unfortunately is the same as the rest of you on Hard Knocks. I paid pretty close attention to him during the Bucs game because of the Jimmy Wilson interview and I thought he kind of blew his chances. He had an out route where I really felt like he drifted backward and so of course Devlin's timing pass ends up skipping at his feet. On a seam pass from the slot, it was difficult to tell how on target the ball was but he clearly lost his footing while trying to adjust to it, ended up falling to the ground. He seems like he gets open with ease, like a lot of slot receivers that have a three-way go, gets open on those little jerk routes, slice in or option out. I just know that Jimmy Wilson in his Finsiders interview seemed to indicate the entire defense feels the same way he does about the guy, and so I thought it was interesting that the media never picked up on it. I thought it must be Jimmy Wilson just looking out for a friend of his on the roster, trying to give him a bump, something like that...especially knowing Hogan played defense with Jimmy in the secondary last year. Guess not, if you have that many guys saying he's always open...quarterbacks, Reggie Bush, etc. But why is he 2nd to last on the depth chart? That's the reality. He's 4th string and the only guy listed after him for sure is Clyde Gates who is where he is because he spent last week injured.
Could have to do with his style and role. He is, as you say, ideal for slot... but that spot is not our pressing need by any stretch. Bess, Pruitt and even Cunningham can play there... and ALL are special teams contributors (Cunningham less so, but he does it a bit). My guess is that Hogan is not impressing on special teams and his greatest utility is at a crowded spot three other guys can play well while ALSO contributing on STs. Hogan would have to be MUCH better than them as a slot receiver to even that out. But he hasn;t proven that. What makes sense now is to GIVE him the chance to prove it against better defenders. The 2's if not the 1's (in practice). The other possibility is that, as you point out, he is open but not precise on his routes. If he isn't where he is supposed to be, it doesn;t matter that he got open... the timing will be off, as will ball location, etc. Maybe that's an issue with him. Too much improvising depths, cuts and angles to get more separation but makes him unpredictable for the QB. Final thought, he may just be one of those guys who people (and QBs) don;t notice. Some dudes command your attnetion, and others are not noticeable. He may have that forgettable vibe so QBs aren;t even looking for him out there. Opposite of divas who call for the ball.
