The team on the field against the Bucs didn't appear to be any better than the team last year. So I am not sure exactly what it is that you like so much about Philbin. Philbin was not the owners first choice for the job and he still has a LOT to prove, as far as I am concerned. As far as Johnson goes. I never thought he was still a very good WR and it would not have surprised me if he was cut from the team even if he had not been arrested.

Evidently Karlos Dansby went on radio saying this is an even bigger distraction because the Dolphins cut Chad. He doesn't believe the charges because he says it's totally not in character for Chad. He said "we've seen worse". My reaction? Good. I'm glad he's chirping and complaining about it. Message sent. Shows me that Philbin actually just moved the needle as far as changing the attitudes on the team of what is acceptable and what will come with consequences.
This is a good point. But I also I wonder if some players are upset because Dolphins didn't let this thing play out a little bit. Maybe Dolphins have a little more info then what we have.
Oh for God's sake we have a new Channing Crowder. When you vocally, publicly question your head coaches decision it is a direct challenge to his authority. If Philbin allowed it, the other players would feel its okay to criticize their leader too. It's like the first kid who talks back to a new teacher.
