Ben Volin @BenVolinPBP RT @JayGlazer: The Miami Dolphins have just released Chad Johnson, scouts cleaned out his locker
Yup, time to move on and hope for the young guys to step up. Definitely gives them more opportunity. There aren't any "progress stoppers" anymore.
Even if we did take him back, he would still be in a very violent situation with that woman, and you can't trust that kind of judgement on both sides..
so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen good night! best of luck in your upcoming court case and divorce settlements, and your new career in porn chad
I agree, made a decision and handled it quickly. I had hoped Johnson was going to work out for us, but it hasn't and we just need move on and hope that we can see progress from our young WRs on the team.
This from PFT ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk Here's our item on the Dolphins cutting Chad Johnsonhttp://wp.me/p14QSB-4ATq
But... but... Hes open... D: haha, this won't affect us that much at all, but I personally feel he was innocent
I love the way Philbin is running the team. He is making smart move after smart move. God I hated Sparano!
Apparently decision was made by Philbin, I wonder what Chad told him. Philbin seemed like a guy who would trust Chad
This will be highlighted in this Tuesday's episode or the following one at the very least. He won't be gone from that show until episode 4, IMO.
I'd rather to focus be on Miami anyway, regarding Hard Knocks. Ocho came off as schtick. Whether he butted her or vice versa, where there's poop there's stank. This would have been a recurring theme. Sent from my iPhone
After this was said, "We all have an obligation, we all have a responsibility and he either needs to fall in line or not," this needed to happen.
I disagree. It makes us look stronger. Philbin just showed that we are taking things seriously, no more screwing around. He just used Chad to send a message to the young players. And I guarantee they got the message!
Just can't afford to create a team in your image with that those kind of distractions around, innocent or not, he put himself into a violent relationship when he decided she was the one, and that relationship is hanging out with the Miami dolphins. Time to move on.. Sooooooo how bout that Trunsik cat??
IMO it was the right decision. Either CJ did headbutt her, she headbutted him or it was an accidental bump and she's the type that will play up the drama (my guess). Regardless of which one really happened, I expect to see more drama coming from that couple. I don't believe CJ brings enough on the field at this point to make dealing with that worth it.
Along the same lines as Des... I'm interested in behind the scenes football stuff. I'm interested in some of the personalities that are hidden because they are real people. I'm interested in watching this coaching staff work. I'm interested in our young quarterback. I'm interested in some of the families. I'm interested in watching Jeff Ireland work....and much more. I have no interest in a diva preening for the camera, foisting his "me, me, me" attitude on a young team or his reality show whore of a wife. It might be "less funny" but will be a hell of a lot more interesting.
In no way does it "embarrass us". I think it makes the organization look strong and decisive. If a player ****s around it will cost you your job.
