Very optimistic. That definitely makes me feel like we're contenders for 2/3 in the East... but I'm still not 100% behind Ocho actually making it to wk1 and how effective Philbin will be in his first year. I wish we would just rebuild, finishing third won't be as useful...... We've been pulling this nonsense for too long!

Given our WR corps, I'll be extremely surprised if Chad isn't our #3 WR in week 1. Hopefully, as our young WRs develop, he gets pushed farther down the depth chart, but for now I believe he's one of our first 3 WRs

That green bay offense has four elite players running that offense..it should be a good barometer as to how far great offensive minds can take a team on precision execution and hustle.

Perhaps this is the standard to measure the team...in comparison to Green Bay. Or maybe we are trying to set a new standard no one has seen yet.

Am I the only person this has happened to? I have been reading online articles on Sun Sentinel.com for years now probably since 2007 and now all of a sudden every time I go to the website a notice pops up covering the screen saying I have reached my limit of visiting this site and they are telling me I have to pay now If I want to keep reading. Would just like to know if any others have experienced this as well.

Given our WR corps, I wouldn't be surprised if Chad was #1 WR by week 1.

I'm all for the "win now" philosophy, mainly b/c there's a locker room full of vets who aren't trying to lose while we develop young guys. OTOH Ocho is NOT a part of our future so unless he returns to Pro Bowl form in the next few months I'd rather give the pups a chance to show what they can do in game situations. Moore, Wallace, Pruitt, Gates, whoever. Its not like we're risking a chance at contention either way.

I'm all for developing the young talent, I just don't have faith in Moore, Wallace or Pruitt. IMO, 1-2 years from now, none of those three will be on this team. Gates might be tossed out as well.
If we're going to develop young talent, then give the reps to the rookies.

Your'e right, they haven't shown much of anything. Gates is the only exception IMO. He's only in his second year, he's already showed he can be dangerous on kick returns, and looking at our offense we're going to need all the field position we can get. If the guy can learn how to read defenses and run routes with precision (big IF I know) he can be a good player for us. As it stands now, he at least can at least blaze down the sideline/seam and clear out a safety or two, a useful skill given the lack of speed we have at the WR/TE position.
