Evans would beat up Haslem on the boards?

He averages 16.9 per 48. Haslem averages 14.2 per 48. difference comes in everything else, where Haslem is much better.

I know you did. you're right that people here are underestimating how good they can be. Perhaps people are a little scared, as they should be. And they are even putting together an ok bench.

As far as offense I dont think Reggie has to have offense. You have Deron, Dwight, Joe Johnson, and Gerald Wallace for that. Reggies job is to play hard, be physical, and rebound which is what he does. Every team would love a guy like that. Heck is part of reason why Heat fans like Haslem. Not the same player but you get the point.

You'll see........all I'm going to say about this is I'm really hoping to see the old Haslem this year. Get that mid range game back and his confidence.

If Gerald Wallace stays there..then that team is right there for the 2 or 3 seed, (IF, BIG IF) they can add some decent role players.

The funny thing is that The Knicks have a guy that owns Dwight Howard as of late, and that will be a huge rivalry.

Everyone talks about Dwight to the Nets like its a slam dunk. I'm starting to feel like its less and less likely daily. I just don't see a great impetus for the Magic to send him to Brooklyn. The compensation is terrible.

Knicks seem fully committed to compete for the 7 or 8 seed forever and get knocked out by Miami or Chicago in the first round. NJ is a 4-5 seed without Dwight, top 3 seed with him.

Compensation to Brooklyn is terrible because they keep Turk and pick up Lopez monster contract. Its just horrible. And the Lakers deal is even worse. I pray the Magic just deal him to Atlanta or GS or Houston or any other rent-a-team so that Dwight is screwed out of Brooklyn and extra money. He loses out on the re-sign with his team money and Nets have little chance of trading enough cap to make room for him.

Pray Dwight loses out and has to re-sign in Dallas or Portland lol.

Rashard Lewis is now a Heatle. I think we are officially committed to small ball with scads of shooters.

The 2012-13 NBA season won't exactly feature towering 7'0''+ monolithic players on every team. Everyone is playing smallball now.

There may be a new deal involving Dwight. He goes to LA, Bynum to Houston and we get young players/Picks. Apparently, Hennigan isn't to fond about having Bynum or Lopez on those type of deals.

    Smart man.

Yes, so far he is smart not taking that trash deal. Hopefully he doesnt cave in and whatever deal he picks he dumps some horrible contracts like Turk while getting some young pieces

These Dwight Howard talks make me laugh. I'm sorry, this is just ridiculous.

Though I will say that if LAL gets him, then you can basically hand the West to them for the one year Howard will stay.

The sheer scale and complexity of offers for a guy who will spend only one year on a team not named the Nets.

That and Howard's baby-like selfishness in homewrecking his way out of Orlando in the first place.

Well as a Knick fan I have to be fair about this...Tyson has owned Dwight but thats been with a poor supporting cast for Dwight. If Tyson continues to own Dwight and Dwight is on say the Nets or Lakers that would be impressive.

If he does go to LAL id bet money he stays there. He would be freaking crazy to leave Kobe, Nash, Gasol.

I'd like to just talk about the topic at hand. If he wants to ignore me then so be it, but even if we disagree on issues i'm open to honest debate. His call though.

    Nets > Lakers

Nash and Kobe are aging and window is closing. Nets are building something with other younger guys and he doesnt have to live in the great nba centers of all times shadow. i'm sick of all the great centers ending up in LA. I think its good he wants to make a name for himself elsewhere and not follow in others shoes.

Kobe makes 27.8 this season, 30 the next.

the Lakers will be over the threshold no matter what and adding to the luxury tax burden with every signing going forward.

Big relief can come from Kobe retiring or signing for a smaller number at the end of 13'-14'.

The injury riddled, unorganized Knicks team could've made noise with the right draw. Not unrealistic that NY gets a 2-3 seed next season.
