I was pissed he ended up with the 'Hawks. I'd argue he's better than Flynn already. The fact they threw him into the mix after one rookie camp I think speaks to that.

That is pretty much my reason. I felt even if we signed him we needed to draft someone to compete in the near future. He was going to be at best a very slight upgrade to Moore IMO and probably a push.

we need to see how things transpire but when I and some others said he wasn't good enough to committ our future too, before free agency began, it got ugly round here for a bit.

I think we are in a good place at QB for the season. I am so glad we finally made a move on a 1st round talent QB. I would have been just as happy with Weeden as I am with Tannehill, both have elite physical tools. I can't say the same for Matt Flynn.

Tannehill has the kind of athletic ability that normally I would say is rare but all of the top three QB's taken this year have rare special athletic ability. I noticed when Vick spoke at the rookie symposium that he specifically called out RG3 and Tannehill and said "I see you". Luck is no slouch either, add Weeden and Wilson to that group and you have the potential for another historic class of QB's.

No, hiding because we didn't sign him, he wasn't a big enough upgrade for the money to beat out Matt Moore for the starting job, like a lot of people thought, including coach Philbin. But some were convinced we would get him, obviously it is too early to tell who's right or wrong but I'd rather have our guy then make a mistake like Arizona did.
