I posted earlier about how I thought Hanley's leg kick was adversely affecting him by not allowing him to get his foot down early enough. Today, the leg kick was basically eliminated. The result was 2-3 with double, HR, walk, and a ball he lined out to center. Visual evidence:

The shorter his stride, the earlier his foot comes down. If this is a designed change in his stride and not a fluky one game thing, it can only mean good things for Hanley.

Since that original post, Hanley has a .933 OPS not including tonights game. I think it's safe to say I am fully responsible for fixing Hanley.

 

You should be hired and Eduardo should be fired.

Hanley better be back, too. His OPS is near .800. Just .100 short of where I want him to be.

Not trying to be a "hater" but watching the Sox/Marlin series this week there were a lot of empty seats at the ballpark. I looked up the Marlins attendance and noticed that they're 9th out of 16 teams in attendance in the NL. They seem to be averaging about 28,551 fans per game (which is up almost 10k from the past few years at SunLife Stadium) but privately you'd have to think the ownership is a little upset with that figure. Is there any particular reason as to why they aren't drawing more fans?

That's about 78% capacity. I doubt they're disappointed in that.

We're never going to be a team with high total attendance with this stadium, and as Desides said, attendance seems to dip considerably during Heat playoff games.

 

I don't think the out of towners on this forum realize that people still go to the AAA for Heat road playoff games. $2 per seat, you get Baiamonte's announcing and you get the broadcast on the arena screens.

Big 3 + Finals + $2 is tough to compete with.
