It is that time again. Time again for nobody's favorite yearly tradition. Dol-Fan Dupree's yearly Manifesto. It is called a Manifesto to make fun a of a person that few people here remember. A joke that wasn't funny then and definitely isn't funny now. The post that once got Rob Konrad's father so mad, that he messaged me a mean message. In the end I was right and the coach who told Rob Konrad's father about Rob Konrad's role in the offense was totally wrong. Take that Rob Konrad's father. Time for me to break down the team with my back seat driving, you tube watching, coaching mentality. Lets get this waste of both our time started. Everyone who finishes this post will be entered in a drawing for a home made cookie. Which I will eat in their honor.

Quarterbacks: For the first time in a long time there is some excitement about a quarterback. Miami finally drafted a first round quarterback and there is some hope that he is going to be a starter. The question is when is he going to be a starter. I truly hope he is going to be the answer. I would love to go an entire year and not see the list of quarterbacks that have played for Miami since Marino. To dream.

Moore, Matt: Matt Moore played pretty well last season. Especially considering he didn't have an offseason to get used to the players and mostly played with the 2nd team. He went 6-6 as a starter, however there was a few game stretch where he was playing like one of the top ten quarterbacks in the league. There are people who state that this is because the competition was poor, however it is hard to play well in the NFL even against “terrible” teams. Not every quarterback can play well against bad teams. Ask Ray Lucas. Still there is a question on how he will fit in a timing based west coast type offense. By the way the front office have been dealing with quarterback there doesn't seem to be a lot of faith in the Matt Moore corner. Due to the change in rule that allows 46 players to be suited up, more and more teams are going with two quarterbacks. I am going to go with two quarterbacks. With a heavy heart and knowledge that someone is going to call me an idiot. - CUT (I don't put traded, that is for wussies)

Garrard, David: David Garrard is a more consistent quarterback than Matt Moore. He is also more athletic. Of the two quarterbacks, he is the one that is most like Ryan Tannehill. He never had great stats as a starter, however he did pull out some wins with some big plays. He can play the roll out much better than Matt Moore as well. - KEEP

Tannehill, Ryan: I hope he is as good as I think he can be. He is one of the best quarterbacks I have seen throwing on the run. In fact the amazing part is that he does so well throwing off of the wrong foot. He has the arm strength to make any NFL throw. He is a competitor and he loves football. He is a smart guy and a really good athlete. The knowledge of the offense help makes one of the veteran quarterbacks expendable. I look forward to watching him develop and finally destroy the stupid quarterback list that comes out every year.

Devlin, Pat: I was surprised he was still on the team. There is he is, still on the team. He is still practice squad eligible. I guess he is going to be on the practice squad this year. I thought Miami was going to replace him. Shows what I know. Maybe he can develop into a good back up quarterback. He went to Delaware. I think that is a smart school. I know it is not a party school. Who parties in Delaware? Nerds, that is who. Maybe Devlin will get some revenge? I wonder how many people get references from the 80s? - CUT (probably put back on the practice squad)

Runningback: Disappointingly to the fans of passing this is Miami's strength on offense. They have 4 players who I expect decent things from this season. Lots of talent in the backfield for Miami.

Bush, Reggie: One of the surprises last season. He started out pretty slow and soon he discovered what it takes to be a full time runningback. Or even a part time runningback. Basically a runningback where you can play him on non-obvious passing downs. Learned he could dance when he wants to, but he has to leave his scatting behind. Because...well I went as far I can go with that one. Basically he learned how to run straight and then break tackles after running straight. Impressive skill to have as a runningback. Still can be used in the fun Reggie Bush type rolls as well. Could be out in the slot, or swing pass and stuff. I look forward to see what he brings to the new offense – KEEP

Thomas, Daniel: Disappointing rookie season for Daniel Thomas. Made even more disappointing due to the fact he had two games where he looked like he was an amazing pick up. Then he never got back into a grove. Not really a pound into the line type of a runningback. Needs to learn more on how to run like a runningback. He still runs like a quarterback. Very upright. He did improve a lot in his pass blocking, going from one of the worst in the league to one of the better. He is also really good at catching out of the back field. He looks really natural after catching the ball unlike a lot of runningbacks his size. He is like a smaller tight end out there. See if he can improve on his injury filled rookie season - KEEP

Miller, Lamar: To be honest I was a little disappointed when I heard Miami drafted Lamar Miller. I went through all the stages of not taking a wide receiver grief. I was angry, bargain, cried a little, then the other ones. Finally I went on youtube, like any good scout, and watched his highlights. I made it to acceptance when I watched him play. Wow, exciting. The thing that surprised me the most was how tough he was to take off of his feet. He wasn't just a speed guy who was easy to take down. There were plays where he would carry a corner back 10 yards before someone can take him down. Plus he is strong enough with good balance to bounce off of an arm tackle and keep on going. Pretty good vision and great speed. Plus the added bonus of being an actually kick off returner. Unlike Gates, who had to learn the role, Miller already knows it. Frees up Gates to learn more receiving. He is the draft pick I am the most excited about - KEEP

Slaton, Steve: My first thought when Lamar Miller was drafter was, “The are going to cut Steve Slaton.” That is still my thought – CUT

Thigpen, Marcus: An exciting player from Canada. He is going to have to play really well to make the team. Most Canadian players do not make it in the NFL. I thought he had a chance with Miami until Lamar Miller was selected. I wish him luck. Poutine is pretty good. - CUT

Messam, Jerome: I think Miami is going to keep on big back. Especially since Thomas is not a good short yardage back. This guy had a pretty good highlight youtube video. He is big and tough to tackle. This is his chance to shine and I think he makes the team - KEEP

Gray, Jonas: Since I already told you which big back is going to make the team I will leave you with some Weezer. 'His name is Jonas. He is stuck in a whale. Something, something, something. Pour my self some tea.' Umm, I guess I don't know the song like I thought I did. CK really likes this guy. He looks like he isn't bad watching his college tapes. He could be a steal and make the team. I am going to say he doesn't. I will say it is because of his name. Football player named Jonas? Really? I think not. - CUT

Fullback: I am not putting Clay here. Even though he has a fullback number. Whatever, I can do what I want.

Wide Receiver: Here is the position that no one believes in. Well I do. The Dolphins are going to do great with this receiving corp. I don't care if you call me Homer. I am Guy Incognito! Marshall was a great talent, however football is a team game. You can have all the talent in the world, however if you do not fit into the team's structure, then it is good to let that person go. It would have been nice to replace him with a name. It would help the fans complain a lot less. Plus I did want Laurent Robinson. However, now is not the time to dwell in the past. Lets look to the future!

Hartline, Brian: One of the most interesting players I have seen on any message board. One of those players that can't do anything right. People think he is slower than he is, smaller than he is, and whiter than he is. He has elite quickness and is really good at catching the ball on the sideline. Does have some issues with keeping on his feet after a catch. Still a really good receiver who can only see his numbers go up after escaping the jail of Chad Henne. OOOO, Chad Henne slam! The Henne brigade is not going to like that. - KEEP

Bess, Davone: A fan favorite receiver. I think it is the Welker factor. Liking a smaller receiver who isn't a super talent. A master of route running and really strong for his size. He isn't the fastest receiver. Which does make it so he is going to have to play better than last season to make the team. The Bess of 2011 was not good enough. Bess needs to become the receiver he was pre-2011. Stop dropping passes and do a better job at keeping open. He is a really good player, however he is very limited in where he can play. He is a slot guy and if someone proves to be more explosive in the slot, while Bess isn't playing at his best, he could see himself out of a job. Still, most likely won't, due to the fact that he is also a really hard worker. - KEEP

Gates, Clyde: He didn't take the world by storm like a lot of fans thought he would his rookie year. He did do a little less than I thought, however I didn't think he was going to be a world beater as a rookie. He looked way to raw. The Dolphins look to be testing to see if he is ready to step up. My guess is Miami's desire to bring in a veteran receiver will depend on what they think of Clyde Gates. He has all the speed in the world. He has pretty good catching ability. He does need to work on going for the ball. Even if he couldn't have caught the ball, I always feel better when the receiver lays out. Sometimes they do catch it and it looks amazing. I love highlights. He is making shirts he believes in himself so much. Do you believe in yourself so much that you make tshirts? I thought not. - KEEP

Matthews, Rishard: When I read that Miami drafted Rishard Matthews I was not impressed. He looked like a big, kind of slow receiver from his scouting reports. One of those, “team captain,” type players that Ireland likes so much. Then I watched his youtube highlights. My first thought was, “This guy is 4.6!?!?!?” He was blowing by people, running reverses, and playing way faster than a slow 4.6 receiver. He was returning punts and taking them to the house. That is when I read he was hurt during the combine. He is a player who I am excited to see if he can make the transition to the NFL. He might be the steal of the 7th round this year – KEEP

Pruitt, Julius: Two time winner of the Brian Manning award for wide receiver who is awesome in shorts then does nothing during the season or gets cut. However one difference this season is he went from a player who never suited up to one of Miami's best special teamers. He was a demon last season on special teams. Now can he take some of his talent and ability to play wide receiver in shorts and do it in pads. - KEEP

Wallace, Roberto: A man with amazing measurables. He has the body of a faster Brandon Marshall. So far he hasn't shown it so far on the field. I do find it funny that an easy catch that might have been a touchdown that a lot of fans make fun of him for, wouldn't have counted because he stepped out of bounds. So far he has been one of those players who plays really good in preseason and then is almost never heard of again. In 2010 he had a chance to step up, but proven to not be ready. Will he be ready this season? I will think not. It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday. Suddenly, he is – CUT

Moore, Marlon: A player who hasn't stepped up. He is really good when the game is not on the line. Other than one catch, that was both a good throw by Chad Henne and a bad play by the cornerback, he hasn't done anything when the game isn't totally over. Shows how ridiculously talented NFL players are. He has all the talent to start in the league. He just misses, “it.” Which I hate saying because it doesn't make any sense. Like watching So you Think You Can Dance judges, when they say, “You wowed me, but you didn't WOW me. You were like UGH when I wanted you like WAH.” But unfortunately that is what he is missing. The moxie, I am going to stop – CUT

Naanee, Legedu: Miami signed him. - CUT

Cunningham, B.J.: Has the record for the most receiving yards and touchdowns in Michigan State. There have been some good receivers at Michigan State. One might say he is as good as any of them. Another might say he wasn't good enough to declare early so that is how he could break their records. I will say neither because I haven't done adequate research to form an opinion. Going by the history of Ireland's picks, when he doubles up on a pick, the second pick is always the better one. Sorry BJ, you were picked first. - CUT

    Hogan, Chris: Do I make a Hulk Hogan or a Hogan's hero's joke? I can't decide. FML – CUT

Moye, Derek: I think this guy is practice squad material. Someone some people think can be a good receiver, but didn't show it because he never had a good quarterback. It is like he played for Chad Henne! BOOM! Second CHAD HENNE SLAM! He isn't on the Dolphins anymore and I still slam him. Take that! Umm yea, I am going to say - CUT

Fuller, Jeff: A player with the talent to be a good receiver, but had a terrible year in 2011. He might have had some injury problems. Didn't have a good senior bowl. I once defended a receiver who didn't have a good senior bowl and then he turned out to be Derek Hagen. Still Fuller does have one thing going for him. Tannehill. - KEEP

Tight End: A position on the team that is very different. I am putting Clay here. I don't care what you think. So yea.

Fasano, Anthony: Originally I had him as a surprise cut. That was mostly due to my ignorance and some assumptions. Ignorance of the fact that Miami can sign all their rookies for only 2.4 million dollars counting on the cap, and assumption that extending Wake would count much more on the cap than it did. I thought Fasano and McDaniels would be sacrificed to get under the cap. Doesn't seem to be the case. No reason to cut him (I don't say trade, I am not a wussy) if you don't have to. One of the better blocking tight ends, (even though I was not impressed with his blocking for most of 2011) and he is better at catching that most people give him credit for. I think you are not supposed to end your sentence in a preposition. I think I have done that at least 50 times so far. Oh well. Umm, where was I? Oh yea, I should edit this out. Fasano is good. - KEEP

Clay, Charles: One of my favorite players in 2011. I have the utility player. Ever since Jim Jenson. The guy who is good at multiple things. He can catch out of the back field, play tight end, play full back, play runningback, golf, tie my shoes, end world hunger, make a healthy Chicken Nugget that is to die for. This man can do everything. That is with not having enough time to learn and be worked into an offense. I hope he continues to improve and I look forward to seeing what he can do with a real offseason – KEEP

Egnew, Michael: This guy is athletic. They ran wide receiver screens to him. Good size. Tall. Attacks the ball in the air. Willing to break some tackles. He looks like he is going to be an exciting player in the NFL. - KEEP

Brown, Les: A great offseason story. The story of the guy who wasn't playing football, and then worked out really hard. Got the try out. A real life Rudy, without the fact that he went to Notre Dame and I hate Notre Dame, so I actually hated the movie. Players like this RARELY make the NFL. When they do, most of them were playing football but that part generally gets left out when people tell the story. He might make the team. If he does he will be one of those players who are never activated. I just can't imagine this guy playing well enough to play as a rookie. Remember Gates took two years to become an overnight success. I think the other guy I can think of did start as a rookie. But he was a wrestler and those guys are different breeds. - CUT

Yeatman, Will: My favorite thing about him is the fact that the Patriots wanted to sign him to their practice squad and Miami took him under their nose. In my mind I like to think of Bill Belichek, cursing the heavens that Miami signed Yeatman. “Curse you Ireland, I wanted Will Yeatman on my practice squad,” Bill Belicheat screams as he pumps his fist into the air. He is 6-6. Big guy. - CUT

Mastrud, Jeron: I always thought his name was John. It should be John. That is a good name for a tight end. Nice and biblical like a tight end should be. Three tight ends seems a little light for an offense that uses two of them. Most likely the fourth tight end is not on the roster yet. Of the final three, I do know this guy the most. - KEEP

Offensive Line: In 2011 this group was very offensive. Well two of them were. One was more than the other. Hopefully this group will improve in 2012. A lot of that is based on who is actually starting. That is the question. There is enough talent on the offensive line to have a really solid if not great offensive line. Talent is useless if you do not have the ability to back it up with.

Brown, Terence: I remember reading something about him. I already forgot it. His biggest opponent to make the team is Ryan Cook. He is a lot cheaper if he proves to be as decent as Ryan Cook. I do not know how hard that would be at this point. No offense to Ryan Cook's father if he is reading this. I am in the mood to pick an undrafted free agent rookie to make the team. Maybe it is the beer. Who am I kidding, it is the mushrooms. - KEEP

Pouncey, Mike: A first round pick center. Those don't come around every season. For good reason as well. Mike Pouncey had an up and down rookie season. His run blocking was really good. His pass blocking was middle of the road. His long snapping wasn't perfect. I am interested to see how he does during his second year. - KEEP

Cook, Ryan: I remember reading about him during the draft hoping Miami would draft him in the late round. Then I remember reading Miami picked him up and thinking, “meh.” Funny how life goes like that. One minute you are toast of the town and the next minute, you are dead, everyone you know has died and the sun has exploded destroying the Earth. How time flies. I can't believe I have done this for nearly 16 years. Sheesh. Well anyways, -CUT

Jerry, John: Every year I feel like I pick a player to like and hope succeed. I am hoping John Jerry my new Yerimiah Bell. I write Yerimiah Bell, because Bell is the only player in the John Jerry situation where I hope would succeed that turned out to succeed. Generally disappointing players continue to disappoint. He did play left tackle last year and not suck at it. Which is more to say for some people, cough, cough. I am looking at you Nate Garner! Sorry to Nate Garner's dad if you are reading this – KEEP

Incognito, Richie: It is funny that in pictures that people show to point out how fat John Jerry is, I more notice how fat Richie Incognito is. Or how he looks just as fat. Especially around the neck. This guy looks like Ram Man. I wonder how many people get that reference. A good run blocker, a decent pass blocker. Hopefully he will succeed in the new scheme. - KEEP

Feinga, Ray: He has been on the team forever. He always looks decent enough during preseason. Yet he never makes the game. Columbo made the game, but he didn't. I think he was also hurt last season. Still, lost my train of thought. Who is this guy? - CUT

Dennis, Derek: The problem with offensive linemen is that they do not have any tapes on youtube. Plus their tapes on youtube are boring to watch. Plus they are next to useless unless you know the blocking assignment. They can completely pancake the guy in front of them, however if it was the wrong guy, and his guy makes the tackle, he did a crappy job. Also, it could look like he whiffed on a guy, however the center was supposed to pick him up, and the offensive lineman could be aware enough to notice, but it is too late. Looking like a fool, just like I did with that huge run on sentence. Well I do like alteration - KEEP

Samuda, Josh: He went to Massachusetts. When I was in school, I was assigned a report on Massachusetts. They sent me a lot of information about their state. Much more than Montana did. Montana is full of jerks. - CUT

Long, Jake: This guy is a freak of nature. He is a Greek God of linemen. When healthy he is absolutely amazing. The question is, “Can he keep healthy?” If Miami signs him to a long term deal, I am getting a Jake Long jersey even if I have to custom order one. He is currently my favorite player on the team. Well tied with one other person. He is one of the best pass protectors in the league while being one of the best run blockers in the league. He is a white Walter Jones. - KEEP

Martin, Jonathan: He is smart. So smart, he once created the biggest lightning bolt in history. Oh wait, that Tesla. A left tackle who is going to play right tackle. Looking at this tape, he looked like a left tackle playing left tackle. He has good quickness and a not pop. He needs to work on what happens after the pop. Most times I saw him beat in college youtube tapes was with double moves. That can come in time. - KEEP

Murtha, Lydon: Some people have him being moved to guard. He is so tall. A 6-7 guard? Well Garner is 6-7 as well. A very athletic offensive lineman. However he is also as durable as something clever right here. Meaning he gets hurt all of the time. I just cannot feel good about counting on him. However I do think he is a good back up, even if he is a little expensive – KEEP

Garner, Nate: The Eagle game put a huge sour taste in my mouth about Nate Garner. He was so terrible at blocking Trent Cole. Anytime someone brings up how offensive linemen are not impact players I think of the Eagles game and how once he was right tackle, there was little hope of Miami doing anything. A decent guard and a decent back up center. I think he gets the jack of all trades bump from playing center, guard and right tackle during the 11-5 season. Still, such a bad left tackle. - CUT

Hicks, Artis: A savvy veteran who I know nothing about. In fact everything I do know about him comes from CKParrotHead and I already forgot it. I guess he is a decent guard and a poor right tackle. I think he will be Garner's replacement. - KEEP

McDonald, Andrew: No I am not making an Old McDonald joke or a McDonald's hamburger joke. Sorry to disappoint you. I went through this a second time. I decided to add another lineman. He is good as any. - KEEP

Barker, Will: One thing I can say about the Sparano regime is they liked to keep players and never play them ever. - CUT

Waldron, Dustin: I feel sorry for him. Because of some stupid rule he has to wait till school is out before he can join OTA's. He is an undrafted free agent from Portland State. That is enough cards stacked against him. However because of some weird rule that states he can't join the team until school is out, he has to put his dream on hold. Some stupid rule that hurts this honest American who just wants to get a job. Thanks Obama! - CUT

Defensive Line: Historically the strength of Miami's football team. Almost has been since Jimmy Johnson took over. It is nice that Miami has had at least one strength. Looks to be the strength of Miami's football team in 2012 as well.

Wake, Cameron: I know he is a linebacker on the official roster, however if Miami goes 4-3, then he will be a defensive end. My other favorite Dolphin. Had an amazing year last season. The only stat that went down was sacks from his 2010 campaign. All other aspects of rushing the passer went up. He didn't have much help. If he keeps it up for a few more years he will go down as one of the Dolphin greats. Amazing player. I am so happy Miami was able to extend his contract – KEEP

Odrick, Jared: One of the more interesting players. I wonder if Miami has a Justin Tuck type role for him. A 4-3 defensive end on “running” downs and a 4-3 defensive tackle on passing downs. He showed some ability to rush the quarterback last season. That was with getting hurt during his rookie season and then not having an offseason. He could be a player who doesn't fit the new defense or a player who transcends the new defense. Well at least play well in the new defense. I hope to see a lot more Pee-Wee dance in 2012 – KEEP

Vernon, Olivier: I was very surprised when Miami drafted him in the third round. My first thought was that this pick was a desperation pick. All of the other good pass rushers were taken and he was the best of the rest. Everything I have read about him has been spectacular. Potentially a first round pick in the 2013 draft if he went back and had a monster year. I hope he can turn into a player who can rush the passer this season. He is really good against the run as well. - KEEP

Baker, Ryan: A player who is fine to have on the team. He is good enough to be a back up, however not good enough to be a stater. He has survived players who looked more talented than he is. However I do not know if he fits in this defense. Plus I think there is a rookie who will take his place. - CUT

Starks, Randy: Started his career as a 4-3 defensive tackle. I most remember him as the guy who leveled Kellen Winslow. That was an awesome hit. I liked it more because Kellen talked more than he produced when I looked into the future. Still I wouldn't have minded if Miami traded a 7th for him this season. I am hoping Randy recaptures the magic of his 2010 season. - KEEP

McDaniel, Tony: I am surprised he is still on the team. Not because of his play. He is a great rotational player. I am sure he would start on at least 10 teams right now. However he is getting paid a lot of money to be a rotational player this season. It would not surprise me if he isn't on the payroll at the beginning of the season. That is a lot of money to pay someone who is a rotational player, in a position of strength. He is also could be the 4th player as well – KEEP

Soliai, Paul: I thought he was a gonner. Then Miami signed him. Then I cheered. A good run stuffer and more athletic than most players his size. Maybe it is the less salary cap increase and belief that there is less of a need for run stuffing defensive tackles that made him come back to Miami. Or maybe he really wanted one of Clyde Gate's t-shirts – KEEP

Randall, Kheeston: A player who looked to be a high draft pick in 2010, however the 2011 season made his draft stock plummet. He has some ability, however can he put it together. He is cheaper than Tony McD. - KEEP

Alecxih, Chas: Alec or Alex? This guy is confusing. - CUT

Root, Jarrell: When I looked up his scouting report all it said was he was the other starting defensive end. That is it. The only scouting report I could find on this guy. It didn't even say how he did. I wish him luck on his NFL dream. I had a NFL dream once. *Tear* - CUT

Shelby, Derrick: I don't know. Undrafted free agents are hard to write things for. I can look online and read things. However I hate Bleacher report and they only have information on people like him. - CUT

Smith, Jacquies: I remember reading that this guy looked good without pads. Would have sacked Matt Moore or something on some play if there was hitting. I don't know why they even report things like that without pads. What is the point? Still, I like stories of undrafted free agents making the team – KEEP

Aaitui, Isaako: he is the only nose tackle on official roster. Good for him - CUT

Linebackers: Honestly it was hard for me to figure out where some linebackers begin and defensive ends end. Some players seem to be nickel back defensive ends. I don't know if they are going to play some linebacker. That is the problem with changing scheme, but not really knowing exactly how the scheme is going to change. This group can have a total turnover from all the back ups. I will miss Marvin Michell. I do love alliteration.

Dansby, Karlos: I guess he is playing middle linebacker, however I do think he is better suited as strong side linebacker. I guess it is to justify his HUGE contract. At the beginning of the season I noticed that there were three players who made over 10 million dollars on the Dolphins. To be honest I thought he was the one who deserved it the least. He was also the only one that actually cost cap money to get rid of. To be completely honest I do not think he has lived up to his contract. He is still a pretty good player. When he is in shape he is able to do a decent job of covering tight ends. He sometimes makes plays. I do wonder if Miami would have saved 5 million dollars of cap space like Brandon Marshall, would he still be a Dolphin. I really hope he steps up and be the player people hoped he would be – KEEP

Burnett, Kevin: When the season started he looked like another Ernest Wilford. A horrible free agent pick up. He looked way worse than Channing Crowder. Once he learned the defense and got into better shape, he was much better than Channing Crowder. He actually stayed with tight ends and started to make some good stops for running plays. Here is hoping he stays with it and continues to prove his biggish salary. I notice there is a lot of hope in this Manifesto. More hope than results. - KEEP

Misi, Koa: He might be the starting strong side linebacker or he might be the new Marvin Mitchell, back up. His first season he looked like he had potential. His second season he was good when he was on the field. Which wasn't too often. He might be a player without a position in the new defense. Not what you want from a second round pick. I know I hate to look at players and think of the player they didn't draft. However Koa is the half of the two players that makes me sad that Miami didn't draft Earl Thomas. Odrick is more “meh” as he is actually decent and makes plays. KEEP

Guyton, Gary: A veteran signing that reminds me of Madden 2008. Because I signed him as a free agent and he played pretty good. For some reason in Madden the Patriots always cut him after his rookie season. He had good speed in Madden. He is a decent veteran back up. He is an upgrade over The Prince Formidably Known as Ikaika Alama-Francis and Quinton Moses – KEEP

Westerman, Jamaal: A player that the Jets hoped would turn into something good and so far hasn't. Here is hoping he turns into something good to stick it to the Jets. Makes it feel even better. - KEEP

Kaddu, Josh: Of all the draft picks, I think he was my least favorite. Especially since there were some receivers that I thought would be good 3rd or 4th round picks still available. In fact, when you read about people's review of the draft, he is barely mentioned. They seem to forget that he exists. From what I read, he is a good hustle player with talent that he doesn't know how to use yet. However, when the game is there, he comes up with a big play. The more I read about him, the more I thought that he is the perfect player for special teams. There is a chance he develops into a good linebacker, however he has a lot to learn. Yet has good motor and athletics. Good-bye, you know his name - KEEP

Trusnik, Jason: This is his name. Watching him rush the passer always made me feel sad. It was like watching Cameron Worrall all over again. A player who is good at special teams, however should never be on the field. Sorry if Trusnik's dad is reading this. To top it off, there was too many times I heard his name as a penalty on special teams. If you are on a team because you excel at one thing, excel at that one thing. He did not excel. He did the opposite of excel. He was the opposite of Batman, the At&t of special team players. - CUT

Spitler, Austin: A player people were mad at because AJ Edds was cut instead of him. So far AJ Edds has become an all-pro player while Spilter has done nothing. Oh wait, he hasn't. Well, Spilter still hasn't done much. A decent special teamer, however hasn't shown much in linebacker. I think a rookie is going to take his spot this season. Plus 4-3 generally has less linebackers than 3-4. - CUT

Freeny, Jonathan: I want him to make the team. I love brothers of NFL players. Sons are even better. I was so sad when I learned that Marino's son went into acting. I wanted him to be the next Marino in Miami. He did give one hell of a introduction speech to Marino at the Hall of Fame. If I wasn't so much of a stud, I would have teared up a little. Good thing I am so manly. Have you figured out that I know nothing of this guy yet? - CUT

Lyons, Shelly: A raw player who is known for intercepting Matt Barkley and returning it for a touchdown. Wouldn't surprise me if he made it to the practice squad. You would think I would do more research. I am on a computer that has the internet. - CUT

Collins, Cameron: Looked like he used to be a safety who moved to linebacker in college. Interesting. Interesting enough that he gets - CUT

Cornerback: Very interesting position for Miami. It has a chance of being a strength for them. However 2-3 players really have to step up and one has to not be distracted by off field issues. If those players do not step up and one player is distracted by one of the craziest horrible things I have heard of, this also could be Miami's biggest weakness. Weaker than safety. Which is depressing to write. Oh Earl Thomas, you were there. You were there. At least Miami got that one linebacker they later cut.

Davis, Vontae: Easily my third favorite Dolphin. I love watching him play. He is a really good corner. Not exactly a shut down corner, however he is generally in good position. His ability to tackle is second to none. He shuts down quick passes and screens to his side. I think that is a huge asset when a player takes away a go to play from the offense. However he had by far one of the craziest more horrible things I have ever read happen to someone. I am not the closest person to my half brother for long reasons that don't need to be here. However if I learned that he murders people by bashing their heads in with hammers, my work would be affected. I couldn't imagine knowing that a close personal relative maybe a homicidal murderer. That is freaking crazy. The selfish football fan in me, hopes he pushes through and has an amazing season. The human in me, hopes that everything works out and I understand if he doesn't play his best this season – KEEP

Smith, Sean: For a ex-wide receiver he has pretty bad ball in the air skills. I was very excited when he was drafted and with the amazing catch he had in preseason, I thought Miami got a steal. Turns out they just got a decent player who for some reason drops easy interceptions. He cut his hair, he bulked up. Maybe he will turn a corner. The possibility to make up to $30 million more does that to a person. - KEEP

Marshall, Richard: A HUGE upgrade over an injured could have won 2 games and made a huge mistake that lead to the loss of a third game Will Allen. Really long nickname. He will either be a starter or a nickel back. He will play a lot. Also known as a leader for the Cardinals. I was excited for this pick up. - KEEP

Carroll, Nolan: At the beginning of the season, freaking terrible. In fact, when he Vontae went down against the Patriots, Nolan looked like he could have sat on the sidelines and done just as good. As the season went along, he improved. He has great athletic ability for the position. Not the best instincts. If he steps up and plays to his athletic ability, Miami has a really good 4th or 5th cornerback. - KEEP

Wilson, Jimmy: I thought he was going to play safety. Well on the MiamiDolphins.com roster he is a cornerback. Either way he was a surprise last season and looked like he belonged on the field. He will probably play the position that gets him on the field. Plus he looked good on special teams. - KEEP

Wade, Jonathan: A player who will probably make the team, maybe. I don't know. He seems to be signed and cut a lot. Or maybe just my imagination. He is a veteran, so that probably means he is going to be cut – CUT

Scott, Kevyn: Undrafted free agent with good size and speed. Why not, he will take Wade's place. Even if he doesn't know how to spell Kevin. - KEEP

Brown, Marcus: Two years in the NFL. Good for him – CUT

Hughes, Trenton: This guy has the name of a bad guy in a 80s ski movie or a big black bouncer to a rich white wrestling heel. “If we don't raise beat Trenton Hughes in the big ski competition then his father is going to shut down the teen center and mine for oil.” Capitalist are so evil. Always wanting to shut down teen centers and topless carwashes/desert tours/radio stations/carnivals. What do they have against teens and companies who employ hottish topless women? - CUT

Agnew, Vincent: Here is the rich white heel, who employs Trenton Hughes. I bet he once bet a kid $100 he couldn't bounce a basketball ten times and then kicked it when got to 9 times. Oh yea, when Million Dollar Man's butler went to WCW, his name was Vincent. He even joined the NWO. Who didn't join the NWO? Your wrestling trivia for the evening. - CUT

Safety: It is funny that the best I can hope for in safety is “meh.” Well I guess it could be good, however that would surprise me. That is even if Miami kept Bell. I thought he should have been cut. I am a huge Bell fan. I have been a fan ever since I saw him as a flyer on punt returns. However he is getting up in age, and his athleticism is his best quality. Well his abs was his best quality. If I had abs like him I would also wear nothing but half shirts. I don't know if he ate a carb in his life.

Clemons, Chris: A make or break offseason for this guy. He has good athleticism, however he lacks instincts. He is the opposite of Spider-Man. - KEEP

Jones, Reshad: A player who started the year off bad and improved as it went along. He doesn't have Clemons' athleticism, however he has instincts coming out the wazoo. What a weird thing to write. I do not think Miami will miss Bell much, because he will be a better all around safety. I do not think he will make as many plays as Bell, however he will not run himself out of the area as much as Bell did or accidentally run into his own player allowing the receiver or runningback to get extra yards. - KEEP

Culver, Tyrone: He is the most veteran player in the secondary. Think about that. Tyrone Culver has played 7 seasons in the NFL and is the most seasoned player in the Dolphin secondary. Which means he is going to get cut – CUT

Johnson, Tyrell: Kevin Coyle coached a secondary that played well with Cris Crocker. When Crocker was a Dolphin he looked like one of the worst safeties I have ever seen in my life. Yet Kevin coached him up and helped put him in a position where he wasn't the worst safety I have seen since Cameron Worrell. Sorry of Cameron Worrell's father is reading this. I am hoping that Kevin Coyle can work his voodoo magic on this player who is athletic enough to be drafted early, however hasn't played up to his potential. - KEEP

McCray, Kelcie: Undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State. I watched his Youtube video and I was not blown away. Mostly because I watched Marvin Mitchell's youtube video and all safety youtube videos are CRAP against Marvin Mitchell. Seriously, if you want to see an amazing safety youtube video, watch Marvin Mitchell. Kelcie, did look like he had some ball skills and natural movement. He is also a pretty decent athlete. I wouldn't be surprised if he made the team. Needs to bulk up. At least that is what I just read. - KEEP

Russell, Anderson: In the last five minutes I have asked myself twice, “Who is Anderson Russell?” I lie. I actually asked, “Who is Russell Anderson?” I like that name better actually. If his name was Russell Anderson, I think he makes the team. However since his name is Anderson Russell, he is not. Who does he think he is, an anchor on 60 minutes? - CUT

Lawrence, Quinten: At first I thought he was a receiver who Miami signed out of Syracuse. Then I remember I am getting him mixed up with a player Miami signed around 1996, when I first started doing this. Then I try to look up the other guy and turns out Quinten used to be a wide receiver. That makes me like him, so Miami keeps him. Why not? These things are a huge waste of time anyway. - KEEP

Special teams: I bet you are excited now. Special teams. BOO YA! Nothing is more exciting that talking about special teams. Seriously though, I am surprised Miami doesn't have a second kicker or punter on the roster for camp.

Fields, Brandon: Jokingly Miamis MVP of 2011. Here is hoping he has less work. Great leg, getting better and better at ball placement. Ever notice when talking about football, the word ball is used a lot? So many sentences could be used prostitute reviews. Michelle has great legs, and she is getting better and better at ball placement. She seems to lose the balls when they are in the air. Has small hands and tends to fumble the balls. - KEEP

Carpenter, Dan: The pride of Montana. At least one girl I know who is from Montana and likes the Dolphins because he is on the team. Did I mention she has amazing boobs? They are outstanding. If I had any game I would have seen them by now. Oh man, it sucks being gameless. Hopefully in 2012 Carpenter will have more game and recapture the magic of 2010. - KEEP

Denney, John: I feel a kinship with John Denney. On my day job I am a software tester. Like John Denny, I am only noticed when I really mess up. When I do my job right, people wonder if I am really necessary. Just like John Denney. Over many years I have had conversations with people who say, “How hard is it to long snap? <Player who starts on the offensive line, generally the center> should be able to long snap.” In a perfect world maybe. However the longsnapper is the unsung hero of the NFL. To make John even better, he is actually really good at staying in his lanes and making the tackle. If they ever make a special teams hall of fame, he would make it. - KEEP

Overall: This season feels a lot like going into the 2008 season. Hope. I could easily see Miami go 4-12, and I could easily see Miami go 10-6. They have a weaker schedule and the extra energy of having a new coach. They do need a lot of young players to step up. Miami does only have 12 players with 7 or more years of experience. Only one with 10 or more. One of those players are a long snapper and 3 of them are most likely back ups. A young team who is learning a new system without Chad Pennington type quarterback does look very bad when I say it out loud. However this is the offseason, the season for hope. If John Jerry, Sean Smith, Nolan Carroll, Rashard Jones, Brian Hartline, Clyde Gates, Charles Clay, Olivier Vernon, Johnathon Martin and one more of the young receivers step up, Miami can be a really good team. If none of those players step up, it is going to be a long season of learning. So far I really like Philben. I like the staff he has assembled. I like the idea of Miami having up tempo practices. Hopefully he gives them enough rest so he doesn't wear them out. However I do like this idea much better than fail forward faster.

Thanks for reading. I am always surprised when people do. Go DOLPHINS!!

entertaining Dupree. only have time to read the first half. Hard to argue the cuts on offense, except maybe BJ Cunningham. IMO, he gets a reprieve since he was a draft pick.

Nice Write-up. WR you have an interesting pick in Fuller, wildcard position for sure. OL - don't think we keep that many, and I do think Garner sticks. Like Samuda Good call on Cook though. TE - Mastrud has got to go. Yeatman over him. Although toss-up. Don't be surprised if they keep 4, and the 4th is a pickup (unless Brown proves he is ready). I think you pretty well nailed DL and LB. Wilson is definitely going to play safety, and I think Culver sticks. Wade will probably make team over Lawrence.

A team is lucky if 3-4 young players step up, we are asking for 12.

    Agree for the most part.

But if we do get rid of Moore, I can't see us getting nothing in return given how desperate the market is for QBs.

While I do agree that Moore does have at least some trade value, I do not predict trades in my Manifesto. It is part of the tired gag. The reason why I started the Manifesto was because of this crazy old man named Sporticus, who used to write this crazy Manifesto of what the Dolphins should do, with crazy trades and stupid signings, especially with a player named Toombs.

I started mine to kind of piss him off, but the point was to just make it cut and dry without stupid trades or stupid signings. I was young and more of a jerk back then. I do think Miami could get a 5th or lower for Moore if they do decide to get rid of him. I also think there is a chance of keeping him. It is mostly based on how they feel Tannehill is progressing and how they believe in Garrard's back.
