http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/...1_team_mvp/srvc=sports&position=recent_bullet Congrats Matty. Well deserved. Sorry if already posted. There's a Tanne vid as well.
He did spark somewhat of a turning point last season- but Reggie had a great year and deserved it IMO. Not taking anything away from Moore though, he played hard.
This is a sad day in Miami Dolphins history. Matt freaking Moore is actually the MVP of the team. How utterly pathetic.
It had to be between Moore and Bush. It maybe a bit of a PR move if they're really considering trading Moore later this off-season as that could up Moore's trade value. I think I would have voted for Bush. Moore was certainly deserving. Either way they were both very good signings by Ireland.
Well, i think it is well deseverd, it could have been Regiie Busg too. The team had a very bad 1st half season with Henne and Bush on the field, the 2nd half of the season was decent and on the field were Reggie and Moore,so the reading for this is that the 2nd half "reaction" of the team had a lot to with the performance of Matt Moore.
I love what Reggie did, but it's right that it went to Moore. Our O greatly improved when he took over. It also gave confidence to the team. When the passing game improved, it opened up a lot for everyone else. Moore was obviously the catalyst for the turnaround. Well deserved, imo.
2011 Miami Dolphins MVP=Skinniest Girl in the Fat Girl Contest team MVP akin to banners for division championships, yawn
Surprised Reggie Bush or Cam Wake didn't win it to be honest. Reggie had over 1,000 yards with a 5.0 average and single handedly won us a couple games. Cam Wake still produced 8.5 sacks despite being double and triple teamed at times since he was the only person on the defense who could get to the QB. Then you have Matt Moore who presided over a 7-6 record as a starter with 16 TDs, 9 INTs and 14 Fumbles. Come on this is a joke. If Matt Moore was really an MVP caliber player we wouldn't have Ryan Tannehill on the team right now.
Not bad for a backup QB, cudos to Ireland. This forum was all over getting Kyle Orton for big money and picks. I'm glad we didn't. I wasn't against it at the time but I really like the looks of our QB problems right now.
The fans booing Henne at camp were all over getting Orton, but I thought the forum was mixed on Orton. I do recall that not many here liked the Moore signing. I felt like a man on an island when I said that it was a good signing.
Yeah, I think you're really overstating how high this board was on Orton. I think most around here were pretty indifferent. And I'm not sure if that bolded part was a typo, but funny nonetheless and actually pretty accurate. Until one of these guys can prove to be a franchise player, we still have a QB "problem".
Kind of says what kind of competitor Orton is, when he signs as a free agent early in the process with a team that has a firmly entrenched durable franchise QB ahead of him. He'd rather be a backup than go to a team where he has a chance to start for a reason other than an injury. Glad we avoided him.
A few of us were talking up Moore back in May 2011 as a good choice to sign as a UDFA QB. Well before the event ever took place.
