I don't pay attention to the NBA HOF all that much (nor do I in other sports) so I wasn't sure how strict the voters are.

    Congratulations...

Your tied 2-2 with the Indiana Pacers in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs, impressive.

I wouldn't say they're as strict as the NFL or MLB Halls of Fame, but I don't see why he won't get in on the first ballot. He already has a lot of support.

His career numbers compare well with Kevin McHale and Robert Parish, who are both in the HoF. His average per-game blocks are second only to Hakeem. He was a 2-time DPOY. He contributed to a championship team.

    Guy gets in, IMO.

Lebron scored or assisted on 61% of our 101 points tonight, 62 points total.

Zo should be first ballot. He was dominant in his time and remained effective til he retired. Great player- tho I admit I am biased because he is my favorite player of all time.

I dislike him because his fame is built on a lie. He didn't dunk over a car, he barely cleared the headlight of a compact Kia. Whatever mild to moderate basketball talent he might possess is lost under the flood of BS and bizarre commercials.

tl;dr The NBA is shoving him down my throat. Do not want.

That's how I saw it. BTW Lebatard says on Mike and Mike that what Spo said to Wade was, "you're playing soft".

IMO the Spurs have a better post threat in Duncan and better Gs in Ginobli and Parker compared to the Pacers. They probably have a deeper bench too. They're also unquestionably a more experienced and smarter team. I would have the Spurs favored against the Heat. To beat them I think the Heat would need consistent performances from at least the big three, Haslem and Chalmers. I see the Spurs as a better version of the Pacers. We could beat Indiana with a great performance from Lebron and Wade, but we'll need more than that against the Spurs.

Would you please expand? I think that like any team they can be beat by a great athlete or play, but I don't see any holes in them. They strike me as a very complete team very smart team.

First of all, they ranked 11th in Def. Eff.

They are 24th in forcing turnovers.

Yet they are 2nd in efficiency differential. The Bulls were #1. The Bulls achieved their ranking due to their defense. San Antonio due to their offense. Both teams are NOT balanced. Chicago was fatally flawed due to their offense, the Spurs, due to their defense.

If you check their trend all year, their Off Eff. went up as their Pace number went up, and their offensive efficiency is due to taking over 21 three's a game and shooting a league high EFG% on them.

NOT SUSTAINABLE versus a good defensive team. I think they will have issues vs. OKC.

    it was hilarious.

Skip gave LBJ a "A" only for his performance, and then gave Wade a A+. He then ragged on Lebron for shooting an airball and missing 1 FT badly. Then called him mentally week, and lobbed a series of insults.

Skip is easily the king of the LBJ haters, although Jen Engel in print has come on pretty strong as of late.

That's kind of why I stopped watching him. He reminds me of some of those posters that will take a strong position and then keep saying stupid things to get a reaction or just out of stubbornness even after their position has been factually proven wrong. It's hard for me to respect those people.

Interestingly enough, San Antonio has the lowest % of opponents fields goals that were assisted on in the league.

I think San Antonio could present some problems, mainly because Popovich is one of the very few coaches in the league that may outcoach Spo.

He'll get 0 credit, but Spoelstra dominated yesterday.

NOBODY mentioned it. But Spo called almost ALL of the plays in the 3rd quarter and he had Fizdale calling out the sets for the Pacers on defense.

BTW, meaningless stat to make Heat fans feel good: The Heat have beaten the Spurs by an average of 26 points in their last two meetings.

Players don't want to play for SVG for whatever reason, I think that makes him a bad choice for any team to be honest. I think he's a good coach and some of the hate is unfair but it would be really hard for him to win over a locker room at this point.
