yeah finyank is good peoples. I obviously like ****ing with him and like I said he's just probably a bit more cynical then the rest of us. That doesn't make him a bad person.

I can only speak to my own posts, but I would like it to be known that I in no way meant any personal attack on FY. The comment about the Yankees avatar was a joke. It's my fault for not using smiley faces and I apologize for that. We're all familiar with how poor a medium the internet is when it comes to conveying tone and emotion. I do disagree with him, however, and his view of suicide. I argued against it and presented my view on things. I tried to do so respectfully. I do feel that he's out of line talking bad about the man so shortly following his death and I do think that he should have shown more respect. I left the site for a few months and just recently came back when I heard of JS's passing. In the few days I've been back I've seen members of this board make fun of Pat White for getting injured against the Steelers and now I see someone disrespecting a man shortly after his passing. It's disheartening to see these things. It makes one question their faith in humanity.

All that being said, I just want to reiterate that I meant no personal attacks on FY and I hold no ill will.

I was thinking about Zach when I read this story .Fortunately he retired in time .

Seau was a great player whose entire life was football and he wouldnt quit as long as any team wanted him .

    RIP Junior

Not only that but in some people the minds shut themselves down. Not just from hit, which probably did not help in Seau's case, but its something that happens.

My mother suffers from demensia and her doctor tells us to try and make her do things with her opposite hand to see if it wakes up a portion of the brain.

he is one of my all time favorite players, rest in peace. i hope his family allows his brain to be donated for research to see if concussions could have lead to some psychological issues.

I'm not taking this death well. I'm serious. Forgive me if someone else has said something similar in this long thread, but I feel terrible that I took pleasure in the thing that killed Junior Seau. Can't stop thinking about this song:

I know you're entitled to your opinion, but having money does not cure chemical imbalances/depression, nor does it negate events or experiences that lead to contemplation of suicide. It is an ignorant statement on your part. That said, I also sympathize with his family, especially his children. This is a very traumatic event in their lives and hopefully they get counseling and therapy to help with any lasting issues Junior's suicide has on them.

I don't blame anyone or judge anyone who attempts suicide because all cases are unique. In the end, those who succeed in their attempts should be mourned. When you get to the point that ending your life seems like the only solution, it is safe to say that you are in pain that isn't easily understandable to others.

    RIP Junior

Would that be more or less "****ing shallow" or misinformed than suggesting a guy who killed himself because of mental illness or injury was a jackass before the body was cold?

It doesn't matter who you root for at my work, all the fans where I work in Carlsbad were down and deeply sadden today. We are about 5 minutes from Oceanside. I have driven by his home on the beach many of times. It is a very sad day. May he rest in peace. Prayers and thoughts to his kids and family. We lost a great person today.

Really enjoyed watching play your entire career in the NFL. Always loved your intensity, especially in the later years of your career. Made this older fellow feel good. I don't know what or why and I am not to Judge you on your passing. All I know is, this NFL junkie will miss you. May you Rest In Piece Junior...

Sad. I'm having a really hard time buying the whole suicide thing though... but I'll guess the truth will come out if it was foul-play.

What I see in FY's comments is the same sort of rage honestly I feel about this. I just don't direct it at Junior. It sucks that this happened. It makes me mad. The world shouldn't be this way for him or for anybody. Nobody gained anything from having this happen. It sucks.

I wish Junior had done things differently and that he were still around. He seemed like one of the best examples of a football player and man from everything I ever read about him. It shakes me a bit that this happened. When it was Chris Henry finally cleaning up his trashy life only to get killed in a freaky domestic or something like that, it's bad enough. Junior was a guy I always assumed had it all figured out and this happens. You never know, do you?

Some guy called WEEI and literally blamed David Tyree lol....saying thats what drove him over the edge, the pain of not getting a championship...

If you guys/gals remember the picture of Bruschi and Seau on the sideline right before that pass in 07 hugging, and celebrating what would have been Jr's first championship...

ahhhhhh Boston sports fans only you guys......or deranged Giant fans...

e60 has a pretty good episode on depression and how it can really affect those who seem most popular. In fact I remember reading that one sign of depression is the persons need to create this completely opposite view of themselves to show the world. The episodes called unbreakable.

I was so shocked when I read this story this morning. I mean, Junior Seau??? Who would have thought of all people....him????

Commenting on other people's comments. Most laymen who hear or read about a suicide tend to look at that person's actions through their own eyes. In other words, we look at Seau's suicide through our own eyes and based on our own beliefs system. Most laymen feel suicide is a coward's way out...is never an answer...is just plain crazy, etc but the thing is, those who commit suicide, within the midsts of their own pain and delimna feel it is the only solution. They aren't reasoning their decision based on yours, mine or anyone else's reasoning, but their own reasoning. To you and I, their reasoning may not make any sense, but in their eyes...at that moment within their inner turmoil and pain, it makes perfect sense to them.

Sad day to lose such a great in the NFL.

Rest in Peace Junior Say Ow!
