its like halo but with real people and streets and all different kinds of guns...... there are team matches or car races or one on one....its pretty good.
WTF?! Thats awesome. But it also sux. Sorry bro. She helps you out big time If you dont get her killed Why were you taking a cab to the club? Didnt wanna steal a car?
I always use the cabs cause they are faster and my luck everytime I jack a car there is a cop nearby.
Thats good. Im working on the friendships with the charcters so I can unlock their special thing they do for you.
I have a day completley to myself tomorrow so I am going to prob. be catching up on all the side missions, etc.
My question is, why do you guys have time to post in here when this game could be being played... Also, can you get anything off of Kate? (Packie's sister). I have been going on dates with her forever and keep getting shut down.
Bought the Special Edition for the 360 last Monday ... finally got around to playing this a little this morning. Haven't got far into the game at all, but it's completely awesome. I'm loving the story thus far, and it's not sidequest crazy like San Andreas was. I'm guessing this will consume my life for the next few months.
As much as I absolutely love the game, there is one thing I don't like. The frequency that people call you to boy it out. It's really annoying. IMO, they should have left it up to you to call and hang out with people. If you do it, you get the bonuses, if you don't, oh well. I hate when they call me up and I can't go out of the way to spend the sometimes half an hour that it takes to hang out and then if you can't, the game punishes you for it. And once you earn the bonus you shouldn't have to keep hanging out to keep their respect and like factors up. They should stop calling. Then at least you know it would end at some point. I hate the cell phone in this game almost as much as I hate my real phone. But I do like some of the elements it adds to the game. Don't get me wrong, I still love the game. I'm just surprised nobody else has had this beef.
I actually had a cell phone call ruin a mission for me. the early one where you have to chase the guy to the main supplier on foot, Roman called me and spooked the guy.
I think it does that on purpose IIRC. At no point in the game do you get phone calls during missions unless it is predetermined. You'll get a few calls later in the game where Niko explains to the caller that he is busy on his way to a mission.
You were too close then. I had to re-do that mission because when it spooked him, he ran off and I couldn't find him. When I re-did it, I stayed further back and just continued walking behind him into the apartment complex.
I've been avoiding this thread because I don't have the game yet because I am broke... But I'll be getting my first paycheck from my new job on Friday so I'll finally be able to say, "yeah I've played GTA IV........."
My name is GRIDIRONKING34, GRIDLRONKING34, or Griddlecakes. My name IS NOT Samphin! Quit doing the brokeback jokes on me and aim them towards the San Francisco guy.
God I love this game so much. I am almost done with the missions (about 64% done now). This game certainly has a one way ticket to Game of the Year.
So I beat both endings. Good stuff. I highly recommend watching them both. The "fork" is not hard to determine.
I am not liking the fact that it takes you 18, 000 hrs to get to your mission and if you dont acc. it, you have to start all the way over. Like the one I just died on, where I got Elizabeta's crack back the cops killed me.....
It just makes finishing the missions that much more fulfilling. Trust me I have gotten so pissed off at times I would almost throw my XBOX 360 controller at my TV. It takes absolutely nothing away from the awesomeness of this game. They simply don't make games like this anymore (depth, characters and gameplay first, graphics second)
I've started collecting cars. There are quite a few very rare cars in the game that you only see in certain places at certain times of the day. There are alot of special editions of certain cars too.
trust me, i feel the exact same way. i hate my real life phone and get really annoyed when video game characters call me too. the game even gets mad if you don't answer.
I completely blew it with Law Chick. Got a nice car, wore a nice suit, obviously she didn't like the restaurant. Sucks that you don't seem to get a second chance either.
This is where having the guide comes in handy, IMO. It tells you exactly what all your dates like and dislike.
