Damn, I thought we could go into double OT. Magic lost to the Hawks 85-87. If Richardson had gotten that last shot....AN exciting game that didn't go the Magic's way....
Missed the game last night but of course, it's awesome we won. Another big game Sunday afternoon in Miami against the Heat. Both teams have today off so they'll be rested for the next game.
Your wish was granted. Close game. We've got the NJ Nets Wed night & the Hawks on Thursday. I'm a lot more concerned about the Hawks than the 10-win Nets.
I would think that with a compressed schedule, SVG wouldn't play the starters so many minutes. I wonder why he doesn't mix in more playing time and personnel.
Yep, lost to the Hawks again tonight 83-78. With the All-Star weekend, there won't be another game for us until the 29th in Washington against the less than awesome Wizards.
Beat the Wizards 102-95 tonight, but things like blowing a 17 point lead in the first half didn't look so good. Especially because it was against the Wizards. We'll have our hands full when the Thunder come to town on Thursday night.
Magic lose 102-105 against OKC. Continually giving up double digit leads and falling behind with a couple minutes left is disappointing, although it WAS against the Thunder. They just slowly wore us down. Durant scored more points in the 4th by himself than our team did combined. Gotta start finishing games.
Didn't see much of the game, as I was switching back and forth between this and the UNC/Duke game. Magic win easy, 114-98 against the Milwaukee Bucks. Next up is what SHOULD be another easy win, Monday night in Toronto against the 11-win Raptors.
I didn't get to watch the game, but didn't mind 'cause I thought it would be an easy win. Damn, that was embarrassing. Losing to a team with single digit wins is inexcusable. Only 15 points for Howard last night.
Magic in Chicago tonight on TNT. Considering who we're playing and how bad we lost to Charlotte the other night, I won't be too disappointed with a loss.
Awesome, I really wasn't expecting a win against Chicago, IN Chicago. Especially after that Charlotte game. Sweet!
Nice win against the Heat tonight in overtime, Nelson had an awesome game. Dwight was terrible with his free throws in overtime. Might have been Howard's last home game but we'll see. Next up is against the Spurs in San Antonio.
Yeah nice win. The Magic are 4-3 in the last seven games against the Heat. One all star vs three. Pretty sweet.. Third best record in the east and 5th overall in the NBA. Pretty amazing with all the distractions going on this season and a testament to SVG keeping the ship afloat imho.
Total agreement. SVG doesn't get enough credit. Besides that, he's one of the best coaches to ask questions to at a PC. The guy gives it to you straight. Always loved that about him.
I like how SVG immediately cut off the reporters at the beginning of the post game press conference when they asked about the Dwight situation. He said,"tonight was about the win, and tonight you'll care about the win." Got the Spurs @ 8:30 on Fox SW. Let's make it four in a row!
59 points against the Bulls last night. We got totally worked, and Derrick Rose didn't even play. We were playing better when nobody knew where Dwight was going.
Dwight wants SVG fired http://www.nba.com/magic/video/2012/04/05/040512svghowardfiredreportsm4v-2057675/index.html
I don't think Dwight will be here for much longer. IMO, both he and SVG will be gone. I think they fire SVG after the season, and Dwight walks after his contract is done too.
DH surely made an *** out of himself today. SVG was answering questions from reporters, and had just confirmed the story of Dwight wanting him fired to be true, when Howard comes up, puts an arm around SVG, and flat out denies ever asking for him to be fired. What an ***! I feel bad for SVG, the guy is a good coach, but these guys clearly do not respect him. At this point I just want DH to be gone.
So much drama this season. Too bad it's off-the-court b.s. The locker room is so divided at this point. I found it interesting that last night after the awkward Gundy/Howard incident, that Dwight had his worst game of the season against the Knicks.
This team is in full blown death sprial. I support SVG. I've had enough of DH and all his drama/immature bs. I miss the Heart &Hustle days. We weren't going anywhere but it was a damn fine team/family.
Who does Dwight Howard want to coach the team? Its not like they have Pat Riley in the front office to dust off and put on the bench. SVG gets a bad rap, he's a good coach, Orlando has bigger issues than SVG if all of this is becoming public. Howard never should have approached the front office behind SVG's back but SVG never should have made the issue public like he did. He basically asked the front office to fire him after that press conference. Very awkward situation.
LOL and now Chris Duhon is getting into the mix: http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-04-09/sports/os-magic-chris-duhon-suspension-0410-20120409_1_chris-duhon-orlando-magic-hedo-turkoglu
Had a solid win by 30 points without Hedo or Howard last night against Detroit. Not too concerned with the Wizards tonight, but we've got the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.
According to ESPN, Howard's got a herniated disk, he might be done for a while. After getting pummeled by the Hawks last night, I'm about ready for this season to be over and ready to get started with the next.
Yeah, Dwight's done until next season. Having surgery on his back. Whether or not that's so he won't have to play for SVG , I don't know. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7834605/agent-says-orlando-magic-dwight-howard-back-surgery
Why couldn't this have happened at the beginning of the year so we'd have a lottery pick in this loaded draft?
At this point I won't be very disappointed if we don't do much against the Pacers, but pretty impressed if we do. Just curious if anybody thinks there's a chance we can win the series.
I thought that we did a good job Saturday night, the guys played more as a team and got it done. I hope we can shock the Pacers again tonight.
Good comeback from 19 down to force an overtime today. Thought for sure it was going to double OT, before Nelson got fouled with 2.2 seconds left, to allow the Pacers to win with a a couple of foul shots. Wouldn't be surprised if the Pacers wrap things up at home on Tuesday night in Game 5 as Anonymous predicted.
