Come on guys and gals; are we going to support Jason or not? After all he has given us as Dolphin fans he now needs our help. There is still time to vote.

    http://abc.go.com/primetime/dancingwiththestars/index?

I've given my 10, so where do you stand, are you a Jason fan or not?

I really could careless about the show or Taylor being on the show. I have not watched one second of it.

I only care about the Taylor that plays football.

Now hearing that he will miss the mini camp I saw screw Jason Taylor. Get on and vote for Christian de la Fuente or Kristi Yamaguchi.

JT doesn't win anyway. The 2nd and 3rd place winners are appearing on Regis tomorrow and it had been previously announced that JT is on tomorrow. The winners are scheduled to appear on Thursday.

He's going to miss the minicamp anyway. Just vote the 10 for Jason and be happy for the guy.

I will not offer my support on this one. Not that he's going to miss our first minicamp now. No way. No one person is more important than the team. JT needs to realize this, and should already know this better than anyone else.

I'm happy for the guy when he is sacking my QB, I could careless what he does with dancing, I'm sorry, I don't care if he wins or falls on his face with that show, it means absolutely nothing to me.

Now if it were the old ABC show the Superstars, I would be rooting for him.

Indeed. I completely agree Derek. He is, unequivocably, the best DE in Dolphins history.

Why not? Eventually his career will be over. He's a HOF DE/LB who will end up likely never winning a ring for all he's given the Dolphins over the years. Jason Taylor alone cannot fix this team. He's been an outstanding player on a team that has been horrible more often than not during his time in the league. He's heard every promise that 5 front offices have given him that things will be better. I don't care what he does outside of football. I don't care how much time he takes to do DWTS or film B movies. Fact of the matter is, this is JT's last season in a Dolphins uniform regardless of the outcome of his career or TV shows. I'd much prefer to thank him for being one of the only bright spots on a team devastated by bad coaching and drafting for 10 years.

I know you haven't watched the show Greg but the routine he did to the MNF theme in week 8 was awesome. His partner was dressed in Dolphin colors. You can watch it online, if you're so inclined - or not.

I support Jason Taylor. I don't support Dancing with the Stars. It is just an awful television show, IMO. So no matter what I think of JT as a player, or any of the recent drama, I won't vote for ANYBODY on that show.

yeah this sums up my opinion on the matter. I will support JT all day long, but not that show. i HATE that show. that show & american idol and all those other reality contestant tv shows.

that said, if "voting" for him involved a click and "submit", i'd do it. but when i saw that i had to "register" to vote.... no thanks.

    pass.

All valid points sir, however the fact of the matter is that JT is under contract with this team to PLAY FOOTBALL. That is an obligation that should be first and foremost at this point in time, and it is also an obligation which he is neglecting at this point in time. I dont care about past promises of past front offices etc, etc. Yes he has been, and still is a great player, nobody can take that away from him, but that does not mean i should support his ridiculous endeavors into "hollywood" while he should be focusing on this team, and his obligations to it instead of prancing around and looking for an acting gig. If thats what he wants to do, fine by me... but quite/retire from football, then do it. I love the guy and all, and he's by far one of the best players in Dolphins history that can not be argued, but his commitment at this time, to this team can be. For that, he doesn't deserve my support right now. When he's back on the field, sure. Now? No chance.

Sorry Deb. Me too - I absolutely wanted him to win. I've watched the show since day 1. Not sure who the winner is, between Christian and Kristi but, after watching last night, it's Kristi, which makes sense since she's an ice skater.

Should JT win, it'll feed his overgrown ego that much more. I'd rather he lose, eat some humble pie, and maybe use that as motivation to show up to camp!

I support Miami Dolphins no matter what the endeavor (provided it isn't illegal). Same goes for JT, the best DE and still the best player on the team.

Maybe enough fans voted so he'll end up getting it. I've watched every show too, for the first time ever. I loved the MNF theme dance and the song about Miami last night.

Tom Brady is running around taking pictures with Miss America and Miss Teen USA. Why isn't the sports world up in arms about that? Because it doesn't make for good copy. Does anyone doubt that Tom Brady is one of the best QBs in the game? No, and he gets to run around New York taking pictures with supermodels. We know JT is one of the greatest players in the game, a Hall of Famer and a Dolphin most importantly, but we'll just throw him to the wolves in spite of all he's done for us because of some trumped-up dancing show? I'm not gonna do it. He'll go out there on Sundays and get his sacks and we'll cheer and all will be right in the world.

My wife calls me in when he dances. I watch him, then leave again. I couldn't care less about that show either, until that is, JT was on it. I'll root for any Miami player in whatever endeavour they take up in the offseason. Dancing with the Stars, celebrity golf tournys, game shows, ect.

Brandon, my brother, To this point, Parcells and the new regime has done nothing but concentrate on offseason conditioning, not football. JT comes back in the best shape he's been in, in years, so he's missed nothing to this point. The first real mandatory mini-camp is June 6-8. That's when the real football starts, and not this weeks OTA. No one on this team, aside from the rookies, have done any "football" yet. JT will be there in two weeks for the first real mini-camp, meaning he will not have missed anymore "football" than any of the other guys on the roster.

Crowder, Roth, Will Allen. 3 players who were arrested or did some sort of crime or being investigated. JT is the least of our worries. And our best player. Let's use him while he's still here.

I understand your point, What angers me though is all his comments in these interviews acting like he doesnt give a crap about this team, or the game anymore and that he is solely concerned with hollywood at this point, i realize that the upcoming camp is voluntary and maybe im over-reacting a bit, but it really bothers me that the best player on our team is out and about not caring about this team. He's supposed to be a leader on this team, and his present attitude leaves alot to be desired.

I know that once the season comes around and JT is out there working hard, making plays and sacking QB's, he's got all the support in the world from me. As i said earlier, theres no disputing his talent on the field, and he gets all my support here, but for his "abandonment" of this team during all of this, and his little soap opera with Parcells... I have no desire to offer any support for. Im just tired of hearing about it, and maybe I am over-reacting a bit out of frustration lol

Do I hope he wins? Sure i guess.. good for him. Do I care if he does or doesnt. no way.

Well, did he win or lose? I was on stage in rumors at Delray Beach Playhouse, no idea if he won or not. I support him, particularly when he plays for Miami. Wish him well in ANY endeavor UNTIL it interferes with him playing football. I hope he won, but if he didn't, cest la vie. Now, get back home and get your skinnier butt back into football JT, so all this B.S. can go away.

He lost out to Kristy, but he did a good job tonight. I don't think he looks skinny. He looks really sleek and buffed. Don't think he'll have any problems doing his job on the field, I just hope it's as a Dolphin. He also said was a ballplayer and NOT a dancer and he wouldn't dance again. I hope this makes a lot of people happy on here. I throughly enjoyed watching him and seeing him do as good as he did.

For anyone who cares JT was just on GMA. They asked him what muscles he used in the competition that he didn't use on the football field. Funny thing he said is that he was the sorest he's ever been in his life for the first two weeks of the competition. He also said now that he's going to back to football, he's going to find the other muscles that he needs to use and they then asked how he's going to face people across the line when he plays now. He said they can laugh at him all they want but they're still going to have to block him and if they try and don't succeed, he'll have the last laugh.

I could understand how you feel if I only believed what the media puts out and got the feeling that JT didn't care about the Dolphins anymore but thats just not the case. If you took the time to watch the show and listen to what Jason says you would know that this, so called problem, isn't a problem at all. 1. Jason works out for an hour with the weights before going to the dance studio for 6 hours of dance training. 2. The FootBall part of the Bill Parcells program hasn't started yet, only the condisioning part. 3. Jason has repeatily stated that he will be in camp, ready and eager to go. He wants and expects to play for the Dolphins. Will he? He says thats not up to him; you need to ask Bill that question.

I'm going to believe Jason's side of this story before I believe anyone from the media and I don't care who that is, ok. Tony Sparano has said repeatly that he and Jason are ok with one another on this and I believe him. Why shouldn't I?

Is Bill happy with Jason for doing this, hell no, but just maybe Jason can't just walk away from it and Bill knows that too. Bill also knows that this all went down before Bill got into the picture so he is stuck with it. The only thing we know that Bill has said is that Jason Taylor will be a Dolphin or he will retire. So I will take Bill at his word also.

So to sum it up: Jason wants to be a Dolphin and will be here for all of training camp. Tony Sparano wants Jason on the team and is in touch with Jason on a day to day basis and has cleared what Jason is doing. Bill has said Jason will be a Dolphin. I believe all those things because they have come from the people involved. Everything else is media driven and, in my mind, suspect and hearsay.

Thats the view from where I sit.
