I have a feeling that if we sit tight at 8, someone is going to trade up with the Jags or the Bucs and grab him.

Rather move down in the teens and still get Tannehill.

Then, we off him in the bubble. You know, kind of like a sacrifice to the gods to cleanse this once proud franchise of all it's bad karma over the last 10+ years?

Come to think of it, I think we should just do it anyway. Could make for a great pre-draft ceremony. Who's with me?

Why would the gods want Sick? The last time we tried to sacrifice him we got Ray Lucas.

I don't really pretend to mock, or make many mocks, and this isn't the draft prediction thread, but if I had to make one zany prediction, I say we'll trade our #8 with Philly, so they can grab Fletcher Cox before Carolina, and we trade down to 15 and still nab Tannehill, who slides alllll the way.

That's it, my only prediction for the draft. And better believe if I'm right I'm gonna be Mel Kiper'in' all up in this fizzy.

and then, yeah, he can be better than marino or whatever. i forget what this thread was about. I lost interest after I saw sick started it.

Well, most pundits say Tannehill, which leads me to believe that it's not going to happen.

i think too many peopl need tostop smoking crack Tannehill was the worst 2nd half qb in the big 12 the fins deserve to go winless next season if Tannehill is selected at 8 i would take these qbs over him . Sage , cleo , and Ray Lucas over Tannehill i dont care how much these guys are disliked I would hope the Oswald kid or howver you spell his name would be the pick . hell if some of you didnt like John Beck or Chad Henne then why on shula's Earth would you guys want Tannehill for he isnt any better then then the qbs I have listed and just ask the media arould the big 12 they will tell you he is not a rd 1 qb he hasno leadership skills and is not a comefrom behine qb.

i just hope someone else trades up for him and we get a a playmaker instead of a flordia media promotion guy.

lol aqua...why even bother wasting a pick on a late round qb? if it gets that deep in the draft we should just ride it out till next year.

tanny, weeden or nothing at quarterback this year.

I don't like the thought of moving down to be honest. If he is our guy, we absolutely should stay at 8 and pick him. Only if he is gone should we consider moving down.

Just to many variables making a move like that. Sure he way well be there, but if not then you've lost out on your prospect. Not worth the risk.

And the risk comes not only from the chiefs/seahawks, but what if we drop 15, and Clevelands decides that's far enough back that they can bump ahead of us? Dropping back, you need to worry about teams moving forward.

If we were talking a DE, WR, CB or something yeah you can move back then, but not when its a QB on the board.

As for Tannehill himself, it will be an interesting process to watch, he can really be just about anything from huge bust to major success.

I think if Tannehill is their guy the wont move down the'll pick him at 8. If they value RT the same as Weeden then i can see them moving back and taking a chance that one will be there.

They don't really have a that's their guy though. They have a draft board and they stick to it. It's literally who is the BPA for them.

If it happens it happens, but thats not a reason to move up and lose more picks. If he's gone at 8 then try and trade out ot take bpa.

That's dealing in absolutes and people that deal in absolutes are fools. So maybe you're right. But i like to think that if they're looking at their board and a top 3 to 5 player is there and it fills a gapping hole, then they take him. If that's the case that they stick to there board no matter what then why trade from 12 back with SD and not take bpa there? I doubt Jared Odrick was bpa at 12 with who was left on the board.

I'd love for the NFL to make every team hand in their board, then after the draft release it to the public to see if what they say is true about sticking to "their board". It would be very entertaining.

I do agree with you on the absolutes. They deviate "enough" and that's actually a huge discussion (no I'm not mentioning Star Wars).

That said that interview process is the most interesting one for pinning down a pick. The first round interviews are heavily, heavily in favor of Tannehill, the DEs, and perhaps Riley Reiff. If Miami trades down, that's yet another possibility.
