I wanna trade down...players from 3 thru 20 are pretty tight in terms of talent.

I don't think Weeden is a Dolphin quarterback, I just don't see it. I think Tannehill is the guy Miami likes at the QB position. Blackmon at 4 and Weeden at 22 and that's my guess.

When has a GM ever said something like everyone knows the Dolphins are taking Tannehill?

If we really are looking to trade back then its an obvious sign Tanehill is not wanted

Barring trade downs, It's usually easy figure out who the dolphins 1st round pick will be. But this is like the year we took Jason Allen. OR Vontae Davis. We don't know what they think of Tannehill yet. If they pass its anyone's guess who they take.

Starting to think it will come down to:

    Gilmore
    Keuchly
    Tannehill

    with my sleepers being...
    Floyd
    Barron
    Ingram

    holding out hope for...
    Claiborne or Khalil

Can't wait ! I agree that trading down is the best option.... after the top 6, the 1st round pool is pretty balanced. If we stay in the top 20 we'll most likely still get a player i would have been happy with @ #8.

You know the easiest way of predicting the picks is going through interview bulk and then seeing where the bulk of each team's interviews are. Miami's interest in DEs is heavily first round, primarily in the late first round range. That tells me either the first round pick or the second is a DE. The LBs on the other hand are not highly rated MLBs and that's telling. Miami has a very small draft board.

    My final prediction for Miami?

They trade down and the pick is Nick Perry.

I can see all these players in play minus Gilmore don't see us going corner If we do end up trading down could see chandler jones in play also. I want Floyd or Barron so that most likely means neither of them are in play lmao.

Ehh, depends. If it's a QB, WR or pass rusher, I'll be very happy. If it's a DT or OL, I'll be disappointed.

I'm just going in with a positive outlook. We finally have a competent HC. Pretty excited about whoever we bring in.

Is there a draft chat this year?

Only pick I would be ticked would be Coples....he isnt quick and I think Jared Odrick could play DE better than he could.

Other than that I can see some positive things in.

I really think given time Tannehill will be a good Qb. I don't think he's ready to play at this point, but heck Marino didn't even start right away, why should Tannehill be expected too. I would be happy to draft him and let him sit on the bench for a year and learn. I would really love to be able to trade back a couple of picks and get another 2nd rounder and Tannehill. Beyond him, whomever they deem to be the best outside pass rusher to help Wake out would be good too.

Big draft for us coming up.

FWIW, Armando says Dolphins have talked to three teams about moving down. Given Ireland's nature, I can see that happening.

Adding our 2nd we still have the option to get at least one 7th back.

Going to sit back, pop a beer then loG on here after our first move and watch 50% of the people cheer and the other 50% slit their wrists with rusty razor blades.

Going to be fun and entertaining to say the least when some people go bonkers over whoever we choose. Happens every year. It will either be guts and glory or the aniticpated doom and gloom as people find any reason they choose to voice it was the improper pick LOL.

Given that we do not currently have a second round pick I would applaud a move down and pick up a 2nd rounder along with the trading teams first rounder.

Mark Barron, Fletcher Cox, a number of players are there in the late top ten that people want to move up for. That bodes very well for Miami and their desire to take DL in the late first round.

Another way to predict this draft would be look at Ireland's favorite positions of QB, pass rushers etc... Just saying..

My mistake, I thought we gave that up for Marshal but that end of the trade has ended already. Would still like to have another second round pick then. 1 first rounder on the trade down, 2 second rounders and 2 third rounders on the trade we got for Marshal.

Good on Minnesota moves 1 spot and get a 3rd rounder.

  34. It's odd to me that there's no talk of the dolphins drafting a safety.

From what I read marc Barron and Harrison smith will be really good safeties. I know picking one of them at 8 will be a little high but that's just as big a need as DE imo, now if we trade down it makes a whole lot more sense. They should of at least hinted at it to try and bait the chiefs into trading up.

    Browns swap picks with Vikings.

Per Adam Schefter. Don't know the trade details. Could this be for Tannehill or Richardson?

Schefter says Browns gave a 4th, 5th and 7th round pick. Various reports also say it is either for Richardson or Blackmon.

Edit. Mort reporting it will be Richardson with that 3rd pick.

That's just highway robbery. Only excuse is if Browns found out from an ironclad source that someone else was gonna trade up to #3 to take their guy in Richardson. Otherwise, Vikings made out like bandits.
