I loved this quote the most...a little dig at the Dez Bryant interview maybe “He’s a great kid. He’s smart, tough, has a good family background,” Ireland said of Tannehill. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...l-a-great-kid-but-dolphins-wont-be-pressured/
Since Ireland doesn't appear capable of joking around, I imagine he was just sincerely saying that Tannehill came from a good family.
Reality is that family background is one of the things that scouting reports include. It's a bigger factor than many fans realize. My guess is that Ireland was merely regurgitating a synopsis of the Tannehill's sheet. I don't think he was making a Cameron reference.
One of the dolphin beat writers said he had a half smile when he said it, so he assumed he was joking.
I find it funny that he didn't say a single thing about Tannehill on the field. He only addressed off the field personality and attributes.
And people who think QBs are the most important player on a football. And d*** jokes. He loves a good d*** joke
Agree.....this was about him being a coach's son and that being a solid family background, not about Dez or Cam-Cam or whatever...
Smoke and mirrors...guys....smoke and mirrors...he said nothing while saying something to indicate who we'd take and/or when we might take any player...
If he'd said that Tannehill has a fine, upstanding mother instead of a good family background, then it would have been funny, and I might have thought he is really not a robot.
