Having just watched Infernal Affairs last week, that isn't exactly true. Matt Damon's character's fate wasn't the same as that of the Infernal Affairs character, nor was the representation of the most important female character in the Departed. :tongue2:

And my original response was to a poster who said they would never watch the movie b/c it was a rip-off of another movie.

Watched '28 Days Later' today. I've seen it before but it was years ago. I love zombie movies, and while this is not one, it's similar enough that I really like it.

About as close as being true as the Hunger Games being a rip off of Battle Royale.

In fact Battle Royale is a closer comparison to The Running Man as the tone of those two movies are very similar.

Also, I have no idea how you could type that with a straight face.

Well, that's 1 hour and 39 minutes of my life I'll never get back again. If I had the movie poster on my external hard drive and not just the movie itself, I think I would have deleted it without even watching it.

I watched '127 Hours' last night. Coincidentally, Danny Boyle directed this as well as the last movie I watched, '28 Days Later.' He must really like stories based on time or something. It was about Aron Ralston, the guy who was hiking through a canyon in Utah and got his arm pinned under a boulder. I thought it was really good. Reminds you to always let somebody know where you're going by yourself.

When he starts cutting of his arm and that awful ear splitting sound that plays every time he touches what I think was a nerve. It still makes me cringe when I think of it. And Franco was great I agree. Movies like this and castaway where we only deal with one character for the majority of the film rely so heavily on the actor.

I wish in the movie, they had the same ending as the book, where you see Cato charge at katniss and Peeta. I felt the movie rushed the ending and left important details from the book such as Peeta losing his leg. They did not even show any of that which kind of disappointed me.
I also love the people who say its a rip off of Battle Royal. The concept alone is not original and has been done before. But both books are different.

With that said, I am excited for Catching fire, which is a better book and hopefully better movie. Haven't read the third book yet

I watched "Drive" last night. I thought it okay, but not great.

I did think it was interesting to see Albert Brooks playing a bad guy.

I seen American Reunion this past weekend... for anyone who was a fan of the first three, it's a must-see.

It was great seeing the original cast back together and had plenty of laughs.

I think it has to be. 1930's comedy characters in modern times.

I watched 'Blow' last night. Has to be my favorite Depp film, I've seen it many times.

I did too. I watched a show on the making of it, and the cast enjoyed making this one alot more as well. They didnt have to be chained to the movie being a remake so they could get alot more creative.
