We need help at DE boosting our pash rush and some help at LB. I propose we at least look at LB L. Fletcher he is old but had 166 tackles last year! DE Andre Carter was a pro bowler last yr with 10 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Obviously we need to build the team via draft but it would be nice to win a few while we do it! It would also free us to go after more offense early in the draft.

Fletcher is a non-need IMO unless we run more 3-4 packages than we are letting on. Dansby to me is exactly what you want in a 4-3 ILB but I guess could play the OLB position as well you just aren't getting full value out of him.

Carter is interesting and at the right price could definitely be an upgrade opposite Wake.

My dream draft is moving back into the mid first and acquiring another 2nd rounder.

    1) Fleener
    2) RT/DE (BPA)
    2) WR
    3)DE/RT (Whichever you didn't take)
    3) Tommy Streeter (Guarantee he won't last longer than the third. 6'4 with a great frame, attitude and legitimate 4.4 speed)

I was thinking of a LB corps or Misi, Burnett, Fletcher, Dansby moving Dansby to the spot vacated by Wake. Then a D line of Carter, Oderick (sp), Solai, Wake.
And a Draft of Moving back as you stated:
    1) Fleener
    2) Weeden
    2) Stephen Hill
    #) Zach Brown
    3) Mitchell Schwartz
    4) Streeter
    5) George Iloka

why are people so high on fleener? a TE? for a team with no quarterback, no outside WR, a miserable o line? really?

Because Fleener is 6'6" and runs a 4.5 or better. Moreover it is a TE required league, esp with Philbin, with a lean TE draft but deep WR. The O line can improve with coaching and Weeden is the most ready QB with all the assets one wants (only his age is a liability but Payton just signed a 3 yr deal in his late 30s).

The best value at WR is going to be outside of round one. If the front office is sold on Tannenhill that is great but personally I'm not. I'd much rather take Weeden in the 2nd if he is available. You aren't placing enough emphasis on the TE position. There is a reason they say a great TE is the best friend of a young QB.
