I think we were all disapionted by the Marshall trade and at least I am FAIRLY pleased with the work Bush did last year. I say fairly because despite putting up his first 1000 yd season it seemed that he would go 1yd, 1 yd, 1 yd then 20. Not good when trying to keep drives going.... but I disgress. Wondering what everyone would think of a Marshall+Bush trade for the disgruntled Forte, and if you think it could have happened. Rarely do we see multi player trades let alone big name ones but it would seem that trade would make sense for everyone!

Yeah, I'll take that every day of the week and twice on Sunday if it meant rushing for 1000k and averaging 5 ypc in the process.

Its a method that kills drives, despite the average.

It also creates better drives as well. There are downfalls to each style of running, which is why you build your team to maximize the strengths and mask weakness.

If Bush is going 1 yd, 1 yd, 1 yd, 20 yds, that tells me defenses are going 7-8 in the box, 7-8 in the box, (getting burned by a 15-20 yard pass), 7-8 in the box, 5-6 in pass coverage and getting burned by Bush on a 20 yard run.

Basic football Phanatic...you set defenses up so you can exploit them at will, and if that means frustratingly committing to the run to keep defenses honest so you can exploit them later with the pass, then you grit your teeth and bear it.

Football is a chess match, it's not a game of checkers.

Sounds more like a fantasy football trade than a trade that would happen in the real NFL.
