    lol.

Bunicotti has no inside info. He is basing what he says on the reports which are based on speculation.

I seriously don't believe this fanbase would recognize a fact if it hit them in the balls.

We were supposed to pay that much for VJ? I mean, his contract is certainly better than Garcon's but it's not a great deal or anything that we would've been beating. Beating that contract would've made the deal even worse too.

And if nobody wants to play for the Dolphins, how was he able to name any FAs we brought in?

He (nor any of us) actually know how much Carl Peterson is being "used." There is likely no need to even mention him when criticizing the team.

If I post, you can assume I read the article. Thanks for the condescension.

And it's just as likely that if Buoniconti had inside information, he wouldn't reveal that he has it so as not to out his source.

This isn't about me vs bunicotti.

Bunicotti very obviously came to the same conclusion the CLB has come to, based on the same "info", which is a couple of snippets from 3 players and media reports that are conjecture. He doesn't have some inside knowledge he's applying to the situation. He is merely reacting the same way you are.

That doesn't mean either of you are right.

What are the consequences? A hostile takeover by the Buoniconti group to pry ownership from Ross? I'm just trying to figure out what that means.

As usual it's just a bunch of hot air. Nothing to see here.

There is plenty to criticize about Ireland and this team, but who we bring in (or don't) and sign in FA isn't really one of them in most instances IMO (or at least most instances that people generally complain about - like the VJ signing as an example).

While I do agree they play it safe in some moves, I don't agree that they aren't bold with some of their moves.

Being bold is going against traditional thought, and standing out. I don't see how taking a OT over a QB at #1 overall wasn't bold. How is taking a C higher than any has ever been taken in the NFL draft not bold. Trading for a pro bowl WR is bold, and trading one off your team is even bolder. There's more to list (Pat White for example).

Making a bold move, doesn't mean making the best move. We certainly have not always made the best move, but bold is definitely something we've done.

No you may hurt yourself when you read this right below:

    .

    Or this gem as well:

So what exactly did Ireland do wrong? Manning WAS 100% NOT COMING HERE. If you took of your aqua shaded glasses you would easily see why Denver was a much better fit for Peyton who needs to win a SUPER BOWL within a 2-3 year timeframe. Denver already had a blueprint for doing so under Elway, who happened to be 37 when he won his first one, and was a natural fit.

So outside of these two QB's that we supposedly whiffed on, what else do you have? And don't give me other players talk smack about the Dolphins, that is a load of BS by disgruntled people.

If he's stating things his "source" gave him then he's most likely outing that source.

Nick, and I love the guy, is out of the loop. There is no reason for him to have inside info and I doubt he has anything more than us fans at this point. He's doing nothing more than parroting what's been in the media the last few weeks. If he had inside info he'd be telling us something new. He doesn't.

Actually, that "info" is 5 years of laughable football with boneheaded decision after boneheaded decision in the offseason. Ross and Ireland are clowns. Everyone knows this. If you're going to wave orange and aqua pom poms, please wave them away from your eyes you can catch a glimpse of reality. This isn't some conspiracy by everyone to make the Dolphins look bad. We're an absolute laughing stock.

Then you should be happy. Your sig is obviously a sign that you hope the Dolphins go 0-16 next year. So, why the sad face?

P.S. The only "we" that are a laughing stock are the fans who picket and fly banners.

Since you know the direction of the draft and every move until the first regular season game, can you also give me some betting tips on how the NFL season is going to shape up? We could really use a soothsayer around here to scout out the upcoming season.

We are retooling for one main reason. The failed Henne experiment. If Henne succeeded and exceeded the VERY HIGH expectations we RIGHTLY had after 2009, this team would be well on it's way.

Henne's failure to develop set this entire franchise back 3 years.

In terms of Brandon, we had no choice. The guy is a trainwreck and with a new coach and QB in town we needed to move on. That move still stings but it had to be done. Let's wait until after the draft to see where we stand before jumping to conclusions.

I can't give you the lottery numbers, but I can claim to have called the mediocre seasons the last few years beforehand while you were surely giving me the same typical cheer squad jibberish of how the team is alright and going to make the playoffs for sure. Grab a notebook. Time to take notes.

Very high expectations by people who never seen him play at Michigan maybe. He was the same player in Miami that he was in Ann Arbor. Chad Henne didn't set the team back, the guys in charge putting all their eggs in that basket set the team back.

Wrong. I've been harsh on the team for many years, especially during the final death throes of the WannSpeil regime.

My main flaw as a Dolphin fan was faith in Henne that was misguided. Now that the failure of Henne and Sparano has been exposed, it's time to move on. And that will require some growing pains, especially if Tannehill slips to us or Weeden is the choice in the early 2nd... But make no mistake, this predicament is avoided if Henne had a clutch gene and could have actually won close games.. Instead, we are back to square one. At the same time can you really blame the team for buying in to Henne after some of his brilliant flashes?

Chad Henne was Bill Parcells' prototype QB. He had every trait Bill Parcells deemed a QB should have. He told Ireland to find him a QB exactly like Henne. Ireland did what his boss told him what to do. Yet somehow, that's Ireland's fault. Ridiculous.

Henne was on fire towards the back half of 09 and came out swinging in 2010.. But the cracks were there. .Even Parcells called him out in training camp.. The 10 play drives where he was pinpoint accurate and looking all world decimated by a stupid read and an idiotic throw resulting in an INT. If that is what you saw in Michigan then I'm sure the team saw the same things and thought they were correctable..
