    More on ESPN:

"ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Miami is one of four teams expressing interest in the popular Broncos quarterback. As we mentioned Monday in the AFC East blog, this move would make little sense in terms of Xs and Os. But the Dolphins' front office has proved this offseason that logic rarely applies."

    more

"If Tebow would have any success in Miami, the team would have to go away from the West Coast principles rookie coach Joe Philbin and first-year offensive coordinator Mike Sherman were brought to Miami to implement. Is it worth undermining your entire coaching staff for Tebow?"

    more

An educated guess is this interest has owner Stephen Ross' fingerprints on it. It hurts Ross to go to games and see so many orange, empty seats. Based on the moves and non-moves the team made this offseason, Ross is probably anticipating more empty seats this year and desperately wants to change it."

The article completely ignores Tebow's redzone success. Nor does it discuss how Tebow could grow under the quality coaching of Sherman and Philbin. However, for a star power minded owner like Ross the ticket and merchandise sales Tebow would generate would be very attractive. Tebow is also sure to bring a major focus to his new team, and Ross loves making money and he loves attention on his franchise. Tebow gives him both.

Actually, the reports say the Dolphins did inquire about Tebow. So they are interested. What they may not be willing to do in terms of making a move is trading a specific pick to get him. Maybe they aren't willing to pay what the Broncos are currently asking. I could easily see Ireland not wanting to give up draft picks for him given the odds that he might be cut.

I guess we'll see if that ends up being the case. I have a high level of confidence that Ross likes to make lots of money and likes lots of attention. I wouldnt be surprised at all if the last thought he had tonight when he went to bed was about whether or not to bring Tebow and the millions of dollars he represents to Miami. He wants sell outs, news coverage, and star power. Tebow is the only option left that can do that this season.

Where does it say in this piece, updated as of 12:10 and the piece originally referenced by rotoworld earlier say the Phins are interested in Tebow: http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/7715912/sources-new-york-jets-jumping-tim-tebow-derby

    It says just the opposite:

This article is almost the exact same article on ESPN NFL (Not NY). It has more though. I thought this was the ESPN article I had already read since they started out with the same information.

Better chance I'll have a Matt Moore sig from crayons. I didn't like Tebow as a college qb and I like him even less now. He can play h back or TE for us tho.

NO! The jinx must stay in effect until he is firmly signed with another team.

I concur. This is staying open until some other schmuck team pays a premium for a guy who completed 46.5% of his passes with a 72.9 QBR.

Since you guys are so angry with each other these days, I will throw you a bone. As a Jets fan, I would take Tebow on my team. However, not as a QB. I think the guy has talent. I think he could run the Wildcat and do a better job than Brad Smith did. I think the Jets red zone offense, which was tops last year, would be even better. I would train him to play TE and line him up the way the Pats line up their TE. For a low round pick, I think it would be a good move. He would be good in the locker room.

Now of course, the first bad game Sanchez has, they will be chanting for Tebow to play QB. The media would be relentless. Sanchez might sulk like a girl. These are the negatives. But in the end, I would take the risk. FWIW, Jets fans are having the same reaction you guys are. They want no part of him. I am in the minority for sure. So there you have it. Stop fighting with each other and pile on the idiot Jets fan!

Pays a premium? Who is going to do that? At best the Broncos are getting a late to mid rounder. Most think he's just going to be cut. Either way I don't see him bringing them a bounty. Have you heard something today? I'm on pst so I get the news later than you do.

Don't forget to include that he is the best Redzone QB in the NFL, or that he took a loser on an 8 game win tear and knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs.

Ross is going to make lots of money off of Tim Tebow in Miami.

    Sig on hold for Boik
