Tebow is never coming here. That guys source is himself.

Were running a west coast offense. Our offensive staff is mostly west coast based. Tebow can't run a west coast offense.

    Therefore no Tebow.

The only way I would be okay with Tebow on this team AT ALL would be if Philbin wants to incorporate the Wildcat in select situations for some odd reason.

I am hesitant to post this but here goes......

I absolutely love the win at all costs selfless attitude Tebow possesses, I would like to have a roster full of guys like that. But with that being said, Tim Tebow is a giant distraction no matter where he goes and what position he plays. Could he be a good fit in Miami if he were willing to play the H? Sure, he is instantly at a Gronkowski type level IMO, but is it worth the constant calls for Tebow to play QB? The answer to me is a resounding no, especially since this year is essentially a throwaway due to the coaching staff and personnel turnover.

Yes. I also realize he won his division and won a playoff game in his second season. I also realize the other QB's on his team couldnt get that feat done.

Don't act like Tebow can't play. He proved already that he can. Tebow can improve with good coaching and he already has fantastic playmaking ability. He also can make our franchise a ton of money and get us a ton of attention. He's also a winner. Don't overlook his positives. There is a reason he was the most talked about player in the NFL last year.

PS - Good news. Mike Lombardi just reported Dolphins stock is UP for Tebow.

If he is starting and playing well, or sharing a role with a kid like Tannehill or Weeden, there won't be calls for him. He'll have a roll and we'll be winning. Don't under estimate what he did for Denver last year.

You mean what the Denver defense did for him last season. They played LIGHTS OUT for a small span of the season and they won. When they started to play average again the team went down with them. There is a reason Elway and the Broncos started looking for ways to replace him BEFORE Manning.

Elway said Tebow had earned the right to be the Broncos starter before Manning. Nobody else on the market would have bumped Tebow brother. Including Smith, who btw just resigned with SF. Apparently right around the time it was annouced Tebow would be on the market, Ireland pulled the offer he was floating to Smith.

All hail Tebow and his 46% completions! If you are happy watching your offense average 200 yards a game from their QB you have a screwed idea of what it takes to win on a consistent basis in the NFL.

I'm pretty sure I have alot better idea than you do about what it takes to win football games. I've been successfully coaching longer than you have been alive, and have had many former players play on Sunday. But to each his own.

Don't take it out on me that Smith isn't coming to Miami.

    Just curious coach.

Let’s say you build an offense around Tebow. What happens if he goes down with an injury? How do you maintain that system with another guy?

I could care less about taking anything out on you or anyone else here

I'm sorry but unless you are an NFL scout I could really care less about your opinion on what it takes to play successful football. Other than college MOST teams on the levels below just hand the ball to their star player and watch him succeed, and they have no say in what kids they get on their team. Either great players try out or they don't. The coach builds absolutely nothing.

So do you at least coach college or scout for the NFL? No? Then your opinion is no more valid than that of any other member here. In all actuality you most likely like Tebow because you share a religion.

I'm not sure that notion is entirely possible with any two players if you think about it. That's why when teams like NE pull it off with guys like Bledsoe, Brady, and Cassel it is such a remarkable thing. However, I think Matt Moore could do many of the same things Tebow could. In fact, I'm not entirely convinced that our staff in Miami thought Flynn would be a significant upgrade over Moore. Moore is athletic and did show some good read progression, accuracy and arm strength. Not elite mind you, but solid.

I don't think anyone could play a game exactly like Tebow if that is what you were getting at, but on the same hand Tebow isn't going to be the same player that he is now in 2-3 seasons if he gets proper coaching. As a coach, I really have a difficult time understanding why so many fans think Tebow isn't going to improve. He works his *** off and wants to be great, and he already has some of the important things many players never achieve. He has no fear and wants the weight of the game on his shoulders.

His accuracy and technique are not difficult items to teach or learn. They just take time. I think someday he will be the closest thing we've seen to Steve Young since Steve Young.

Yes, I've scouted for college and nationally for both California state groups and National scouting groups. I've also coached in both State (Head coach - Cal State Game) and National (Asst. Coach) All Star games (Eastbay / Army All American Bowl). Now since by your own defination that means I am all that. I wish I knew as much as you when I was 21 but I was busy still playing football.

Your lack of understanding in the role of a good coach makes me wonder if you even played any sports at any point in your life. Seriously, if you ever want any respect in life you better figure out how to give some back. Your attitude since hearing the Smith signed in SF has been nothing short of childish.

As far as your comment "In all actuality you most likely like Tebow because you share a religion" I'm not sure why you'd think that. I could care less if he is white, black, yellow or brown. I could also care less what faith he is, the guy wins games and I want to win games in Miami. Maybe his faith has something to do with your opinion of him, but it doesn't with mine.

Tebow solves our wide receiver problem. Since he can't throw we don't need a wide receiver.

  22. Like it or not Tebow would be a perfect fit for Miami. we would then have a QB who cant pass on the field with WRs that cant get open.

Actually, he'd be great at the goal line as a Wildcat QB. Basically he's what we tried to do with Pat White.

None of this changes the extreme likelihood of drafting Brandon Weeden or Ryan Tannehill.

I don't think Tannehill is going to be an option unless we trade up. I also think that would be a mistake.

I just don't like the idea of having to move up in the draft to get him, and even at 8 overall I have concerns it's a reach. I'd be much happier if we could trade back and grab him but it looks like a few teams that pick before 8 might want Tannehill

He also has an absurdly high conversion rate in the red zone. Something like 70% of his snaps turn into touchdowns.

That's exactly what the Dolphins need: red zone efficiency.
