I laughed when I read this part: "Dolphins CEO Mike Dee said market research conducted by the franchise shows the team remains a top-five brand across the country" :pity:.

They have no friggin clue. I read in the sentinel that season ticket sales are in the 30's cant wait till there in the teen's then maybe just maybe Ross gets a clue and the light bulb turns on and realizes Ireland must go, really don't they read the news or $h1t don't they hear it from the inner circles of there social club...

Only way for Ross to wake up is when it hits his wallet...

I've been a Heat fan since DAY 1. Since the first tip. Same with the Marlins.

I can tell you categorically that the Dolphins will ALWAYS be top dog in South Florida. The Heat season ticket holders don't even show up until the 2nd quarter and leave with 5 minutes left during a tie game.

Put a winning product on the field and all doubts will be erased instantaneously.

Well the team is still popular around the country. That doesn't help ticket sales though. I don't know if its top 5, but it is probably 5-10ish.

Miami is a football town but the fans are fed up. The ones across the country like me are not going to waste time to fly down to Miami and the ones living in South Florida are not going to waste money when they feel the franchise is not going anywhere. They don't trust anyone, and rightfully so. 2 winning seasons in the past 8 and 1 playoff win in 12 years with more questions than answers going into 2012. There will be way more empty seats than last year, and last year was the worst Dolphins attendance since the AFL.

I completely agree. I really hope less people show up to games, just to the point where our CEO gets the message.

And back to this idea of slipping, ticket-wise and popularity-wise we are holding the #1 spot, and the only team close to taking it is the Miami Heat. But if we look at talent-wise then the dolphins are 4th out of four teams (other ones being Panthers, Heat, and Marlins in no particular order). Why? Well the Heat as we know are a top 3 team in the NBA, the Panthers are about to clinch a playoff berth, and the Marlins made a lot of headlines with the free agents they signed.

whoever wrote this article, whoever the hell izzy gould is, is a POS amatuer reporter reported nothing but pure speculation and playing it off as fact.

'Then they went after Matt Flynn, the most coveted young quarterback on the free-agent market.

Sorry. He'd rather play in Seattle than be reunited with Dolphins coach Joe Philbin, who mentored him in Green Bay.''

How bout writing that maybe his own coach didn't think he was good enough to be our future signal caller.

How can you put the blame on Philbin, the phins made a low ball offer. Ireland has the Final Say, what can Philbin do? Get into a pissing match which he can't win. What Flynn said he felt a better vibe with Seattle, almost everyone we went after has said the same thing. Dam even Dan the Man Marino stays arms length from the phins and we know he Blead aqua and orange. That has to tell you something.

We all want the same thing is to be on top again and have some dam respect, unless things change from the top we are all b1tch and moan all day long...

'' Rosenhaus pointed out tonight, "If they wanted Flynn, they could've made it happen." Flynn was not a Dolphins priority...

    end of discussion.

And what now Rosenhaus knows it all, He doesn't know Jack, he is like all the reporters trying to get his name in the mix, but plain and simple he is blowing smoke as the rest.

he knows how the business works when it comes to these third grade dynamics..

Your mad because your new coach denied you the QB you wanted because he didnt want to hitch himself to an average skillset..

    so you blame Ireland..lol..how conveniant.

Your post is pretty contradictory. You believe media stories about how bad our organization is but when a media story comes out that isn't negative it doesn't matter because reporters just want to get their name out.

Which is it, do you trust reporters or no.

Ross will never be affected by mere money. Only repeated humiliating stabs at his pride will wake him now.

BTW-You do realize he used to own the mother-feckin' twin towers, right?

The Dolphins will always be the big dog in south Fl but not because of their stellar play but more because the NFL is the bigger draw. They may not make a playoff run like the Heat and even the Marlins but that will still be the big story.Even if they suck.

They got replaced by the Heat as the #1 sports franchise in town as soon as the Heat signed the big three. The Marlins passed them up this year. They are currently #3.

if you want to compare just the heat and Dolphins...the Dolphins have a season ticket holder base of around 35k for this season. IN season ticket holders and waiting list, as well as those that buy packages, the Heat has more than that. With the tickets costing 25% more.

The Marlins for this season will blast the Dolphin numbers out of the water as well.

it's a dumpster fire, and nobody wants to go near it. I don;t even get offers for my Patriots or Jets tickets anymore.

And the Panthers should be in the Playoffs. Imagine if they go deep, Dolphins will be competing with a soccer team for fourth.
