Alex Smith would prefer SF over Miami even for more money.

I can so see it now. Tannehill somehow makes it past the Browns we are on the clock and then BOOM we trade down to pick up more draft picks and lose out on Tannehill and Weeden in the process.

    OR

We draft an offensive lineman at 8.....

I have no respect for any of the media asswipes. Seems all they do is make **** up anymore. For them rumors are more important than reporting the facts.

I can only hope we miss out on Tannenhill. We wont be missing out on much.

Can we all take a deep breath and think about this. Why in the world would Alex Smith or his agent tell anyone in the media that he would perfer to sign with the 49ers. Maybe it puts some pressure on Ireland to up the anty but it kills any leverage they have with SF. I bet dollars to donuts this is pure speculation either directly from either Jason Cole or an "NFL Insider" with no knowledge of either camps thought process.

Let's see Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham, and Randy Moss
or Reggie Bush, Anthony Fasano, Brian Hartline, Davone Bess, and Marlon Moore?

If Sherman somehow convinced Ireland and Philbin that Tannehill is worth moving up in the draft for then we are certainly doomed. When you beat the mighty teams like SMU , Idaho and your team goes to the prestigous Meineke whatever bowl is good reason enough to give all picks away just to move up.

Sherman got canned at ATM for a reason, he sucks. I don't want to hear he was a coach at Green Bay blah blah blah. He had a QB named Brett Farve in his prime and a RB Ahman Green that helped him out quite a bit. Not sure about Philbin but if people did not like Henning then you are going to sure in hell hate Sherman.

Tannehill, at best, is a second round project but because the " talking heads " from the media are pumping this kid up now we should give picks away to move up to get him ? LMAO. Ross got exactly what he wanted. A GM that will agree with anything he wants. We have an owner that believes if you throw enough money at someone they will play for him regardless if the player is good or not good. Sad.

I don't know if I've said this enough times today, but right or no I hate Peter King. I can see him furiously texting Favre now with "Miami has no qb r u in?"
