Wouldn't it be awesome if you guys got Flynn and you faced the Packers and Rodgers in the super bowl next year? Hoping you get him, please dont get David Garrard or Alex Smith. Those guys are mediocre. I hope the best for the Dolphins comes out of this.

Garrard and Smith are crap. I don't mind giving Flynn a shot, but not at 60m.

is that what Flynn wants 60mil?? Do you have a link for that if that's the case than Stick with Moore. I'm a huge Flynn fan but not at that money for what we know.

We want to sign, Ireland wants him at what he deems as value. He wants to "win" the deal.

Why are fans so worried about what Flynn's contract is going to be?

 So if Moore is our starting QB and we win 6-7 games and Flynn goes to Seattle and wins 11-12 games then Dolphin fans will at least be able to say "glad we don't have to pay Flynn that $60 million contract."

Marshall just got $5.33 contract as a nickel corner or FS with hardly a sigh, Hicks gets $2 to $2.5 million as a backup OL, but fans are taking a stance against a QB that may be able to lead us to double-digit wins and the playoffs...crazy.

same old ups & downs that go around & around, nowhere fast
I think Ice Hockey & Soccer are good sports, always loved boxing

there is life beyond this perennial loser Dolphin Franchise
think I'll take a break & check back in @ the beginning of pre-season

the only thing more ridiculous than watching this garbage strewn about the street is playing in it.
I have reached the point with the dolphins that they will have to show me something to regain my attentions

it's all just become too ugly to bear, thank God Marshall got out, all the guy ever wanted to do is win

Its quite simple: some of us are concerned that Flynn is the next AJ Feely. Obviously, if he turns out to be the next Aaron Rogers, yeah, who cares what we pay him. The thing is, nobody knows how he'll end up, so it would really kill this team if Flynn sucks AND he screws up our cap in the future.

Lets say we do a 60 million dollar deal it HAS to be heavily incentive based. something like base of 5 million with 8-10 wins you get 1 million more 10-12 wins 2 million more 12-14 2 more etc... Next year his base woudl be 6-7 million and incentive based..

Otherwise spend that 60 million and fill our other glaring holes in free agency NOW!

I don't know where this $60 million dollars figure is coming from. It would not surprise me if Flynn isn't asking for this dollar amount, I just haven't seen it reported yet. I am sure Flynn wants to try and get every dollar he can in this contract signing. As a seventh round draft pick out of LSU, he certainly didn't get a huge contract from the Packers for the last four years. He now feels that he has some type of leverage at this time. Unfortunately for him, it is only two teams who seem to have any interest in signing him. Instead of a bidding war with several teams involved, only the Dolphins and Seahawks have even expressed any interest in him.

Unless some other teams suddenly become interested in him and run up the bidding price, Flynn will probably end up getting far less money then he imagined when he entered free agency. Especially if Smith signs with the Dolphins or Seahawks and not the 49er's. Flynn is not worth a huge contract based on his limited starting experience in the NFL and I think the Dolphins or the Seahawks would be foolish to sign him for more than three years and anything over five million dollars a year would be absurd.
