There goes that idea for those of you that thought thats why they gave Marshal his plane ticket out of town.
Why would it kill Manning to Miami? Peyton isn't going back to the Colts. Wherever he goes it will be sans Wayne. Though I still think it's a long shot.
No primary wr. At least with Wayne there would still be a 1. Bess, Hartline, Gates does nothing to entice Manning.
Still early though. We could sign Mike Wallace or draft Justin Blackmon. No way Bess and Hartline are the starters Opening Day. Someone else will be here.
Not a big a deal, I am bit over the Manning deal. Ill be happy with Flynn, Winston. Then drafting Floyd and maybe trying to move up in the second round and grab Stephen Hill from GT.
First off were not getting Flynn or manning! Now we have no #1 rec. This Miami team sucks again! Another losing season in the making!
Mike Wallace isn't going anywhere, the Steelers will have a week to match and they will cut overpriced vets before parting with him. That organization is to smart to let him go.
Wallace comes with the 1st rd pick in return. Is he worth that? Pretty much. Would I want to give up that pick for him? Probably not.
B/c if there was a chance Manning was going to Miami I think Wayne would've held out on his decision considering his desire to play with Manning in Mia.
i think the idea that reggie wayne would just follow manning anywhere is a bit of a stretch...it's his last contract..i'm sure he loves manning, but manning can't guarantee him a huge payday..plain and simple..would i have liked wayne. sure. he got a good deal from indy and he can say he played his entire career in one spot...good for him
I think we missed out on a real opportunity here. Granted, Wayne's getting up there in age, but there's no denying his ability. He could've really helped us, and at what appears was a reasonable cost (17mil over three years IIRC). Just hope Ireland & Company have some kind of plan in place to upgrade the WR position. Especially now with Marshall gone.
What scares me is that if Wayne thought Manning was going to Miami he may have waited, id suspect he made a call to get the info before signing with indy. Hop eim wrong at this point the value of manning is far better than anything we have. bring on tickets sales, primetime games, ideas of granduer
That's exactly what I was thinking. In other words, Wayne's resigning with Indy is probably a good indication that Manning has no intentions of signing with Miami.
Thats my thinking only because he started here and has roots. But we cant discount were he played for his whole career and more i think about it he broke in Manning and now he gets to break in the best new hotshot prospect again. so its all relative right. But if Manning was going to Miami Id expect he'd at least feel em out. with Garcon gone he will be Andrew lucks go to guy, he's on his own stage not Mannings catch partner. who knows Im tired
it does nothing to excite this dolphin fan . why is it that I cant shake this feeling of Miami is about to do something dumb in reguards to siging free agents and draft picks.
