WTF man. This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Even if we get Manning? This is straight DUMB. I mean... the timing couldnt be worse?!? Hours before FA starts? When every team thinks they have a shot at signing Vincent Jackson, etc? You wait FOUR ****ING DAYS and you have 1000x more leverage on any team that needs a WR. And you trade him NOW?!? Why??? Who cares if you want Manning. Tell Manning you're going to trade him in FOUR ****ING DAYS, to get more value to put talent around him. This is ****ing ******ed. **** Ireland. **** this team. I dont deserve this ****. Trade away one of our best ****ing players for ****ing nothing at LITERALLY the worst possible day to trade him... **** this team... EDIT: I feel better after that... lol
Those YDS Marshall got us actually got us into field position to score unlike any other WR weve got. Hartline and Bess? naaah.
I feel you man, believe me I do. I literally bleed aqua and orange but all the negativity is getting old quick. Not singling you out or anything just in general. How many franchises in the NFL have been at the elite level the past 5-10 years? Not a lot, it's harder then most people think. It takes a combination of good personnel and a lot of luck. Miami has tried to make moves to improve our franchise and some of them have failed horribly. Some have worked out well, why others are still a toss up. I don't want to sound like every fan here isn't entitled to their own opinion but being negative all the time doesn't help in any aspect. Our franchise is trying as hard as they can to build a great team and I think a lot of our failures have just been the luck of the draw. Of course some bad moves have been made as well but if we are gonna be fans then I say let's try and back our club as much as possible. Next thing you know we are gonna turn into Philly fans and just be horrible
Indianapolis Radio station is reporting the Dolphins are meeting with Manning AGAIN in Indy. All of them - Philbin, Sherman, Ireland, and Ross this time. Again, this could just be crappy made up info. But why would an Indianapolis radio say it? Hmm...we'll see if this is true of bull$hit.
LOL no anger issues. Nor do I make anything personal. But the terms in the mental health world are thrown around far too liberally for me....and I am a huge liberal. lol
Someone from the Dolphins had better have a legit reason for this trade. And it had better come through and prove to be an inspired decision. seriously.
Sure there is. When any FA you'd have to pay more than what hes making? If Team X wants Vincent Jackson, and they are prepared to pay him 10+ million per year like his contract is going to command... and they swing and miss on VJ and still desperately need a WR... they are going to be balking at 9mil a year for Brandon? No way...
Doesn't break my heart! Marshall was over rated, over hyped and overpaid. Never lived up to his billing at all. He just was never good enough to get past all the drops and the money he was being paid. Simple as that. He won't be missed.
Just gotta be more to this. If not, there's no defense for Ireland. Those who choose to defend him are just being difficult at this point. And I have to ask, how much value would Brandon Marshall have had in a trade up with the Rams for a #2 pick?
This rumor is flying at FH too but no one has a real source, just like the radio station in Denver is reporting Manning to the Broncos is a done deal.
Whos his passing threat if we get him? We had better get Wallace and Wayne. Someone somewhere must have a plan.
I don't care if you bring in Mike Wallace, Reggie Wayne, or Vincent Jackson will not change the fact Hartline and Bess had single coverage all the time while Marshall was triple teamed and couldn't get open. A lot of Miami's failures and Marshalls td production being so low is this reason its not hard to take him out of the game in the redzone when hes the only option.
Don't make my mistake, never buy an authentic jersey of a player that hasn't played yet. I cursed him by ordering his jersey the day he signed. And him choosing #19 didn't help either.
He will be if we are depending on Hartline and Bess and god knows what this Front Office are planning. Love to know who the heck you think we should have. We just got rid of one of our best players for peanuts.
We will have to see who we get this year and next year with those 3rd rounds picks and wait and see how productive they are and how long they'll be on this team to know if this was a good trade. I hope this has something to do with getting manning and I'm upset that our we'd are no threat to any team. We just created a big need.
I'm just going to hope they have something positive in mind with this trade, besides getting 3rd round picks, and see what happens over the next week. I'll always be a Phins fan no matter who's on the team.
One that obviously didn't fit the scheme or didn't fit in to future plans obviously. Marshall was a glorified possession WR anyway. You don't pay him that kind of money. I guess the Dolphins heard all my *****ing last season and decided to cut ties LOL. We need a serious play making threat.
If we did that we wouldn't have much room for anything else. We have a lot of other areas we need to address. The more I think about this move the more it makes sense
Prove it please. no speculation. I would like to see cold hard fact, or video of Peyton Manning saying "I respectfully decline Miami's offer of $_________"
Come on man. You cannot believe that is going to happen can you? They have a plan in place to replace him, we just need to wait and see what it is. The reactions in this thread are hilarious though. I'll bet anyone anything that our two starting WRs on opening day are not the pair of Bess and Hartline.
and 3rd round WR's who get 100 catches and 1000yds grow on trees eh? Im in the majority....crap trade.
