Yea they are trash franchises, Titans, Jets, Seahawks Chiefs, Browns, Bills.... I dont know about you but this is not the lot I would want my franchise to be compared too.
Yeah I'm jumping for joy over a guy who might be washed up and is 35 years old. Not landing him is disastrous. Woohoo. Now we are talking future.
Didnt say Manning was the future, im just stating what is believed to be the Dolphins next move and I believe it because Philbin will lobby to get Flynn to Miami.
I think is time for FO to come out and address the media, specially the fans, to clarify whats happening with this Manning saga. Staying put like this bring negative attention to the Franchise, something that we don't need, considering that the FA starts tomorrow, if for some reason the Dolphins do not wants Manning, or they change opinion about it, or Manning doesn't want to play in Miami, Ross or who for him should put this drama to rest and start putting all the effort to better our team JMHO.
Why does the team need to do ANYTHING? Where, outside of the media have you seen the team make statements that they were going all in for Manning? Are you making your assumption based on the assumption that the idiotic media made the moment Manning was available? Should all 32 NFL teams prepare a statement to the media around Manning as well? I'm tired of this team getting bashed from all angles, including our own fanbase that seems to be joining the Patsy and Jet fans at ESPN. I'm souring on Manning. He is unwilling to throw for teams and doesn't seem ready to play. How do you know the Phins didn't request a full workout before proceeding? If they did, then good riddance Manning if you don't want to prove that you are nearly ready to play. I don't know about you guys, but after 15 years of failure the last thing in the world that we need is a hired gun that can only shoot blanks.
I agree with most of this except the fanbase is a bunch of whiny, *****y no it alls who think they have it all figured because the media says it to be true.
Adam Schefter actually said those words? Whether it's true or not, I can't believe someone who is supposed to be an objective member of the media would be leveling those kind of criticisms of our front office.
Yup. This moronic fanbase that gets hyped up because Adam Schefter called us frontrunners when Manning may never had been our offseason focus. Of course it is much easier to assume we failed than to admit there may be better options. Especially since Manning is deadset on securing another monsterous contract before throwing the ball.
I agree. If Ross made no attempt to try for Fischer or Harbrough would the fan base have been happy? We all know the correct answer to that. Take a chill pill people. Ross has shown he will try every reasonable way he can to better this team. He hasn't gave up either.
Yeah fans need to be more patient on what they read and take it with a grain of salt. The media does exactly what you posted though. They hype it up and say it is all true then when it falls through the fanbase is left fired up like a redneck on bourbon. In turn they immediately pin the blame on the front office. Wake up people.
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Yes, fans bought way too much into the idea that we were absolutely the FAVORITES to get Manning. But if Peyton was indeed Ross / Ireland's top choice and they failed to even secure a meeting, as fans we should ask ourselves why that didn't happen. But not until we know which team Peyton chooses and why. Too early to place any blame anywhere YET. Personally, I planned from the beginning to not get my hopes up about Manning as much as I'd like to see him in a Dolphins uniform.
How about we go for and strike out on both Peyton and Payton. Rumor has it the later has moved his family out of NO and may want out entirely.
"But if Peyton was indeed" says it all Blitz. Nobody knows yet everyone is drawing conclusions. Is that fair to the team or Ross??
I'm not saying I told you so because we still don't know how it will be played out. I have merely been saying all along be prepared if things don't go the way the Manning crowd wants. Too often people buy into the hype and then end up on the cliff.
Well Denver has 44 million reasons for him to like it there and personally if it was me and it came down to playing with one of the best WR in Fitzgerald or playing with a WR like Marshal who drops more then he catches its a no brainer. Az Cardinals stadium is sold out every year. The life style for the family out in AZ on a scale of 1 to 10 is an 8 as compared to a 4 in Miami. No ocean ? no problem, San Diego or LA are 45 mins away by plane. Its a no brainer.
Yeah it's great if you don't mind having zero beach front, a ton of LA gang bangers that were ran out of California, 120 degree summers, and sand...lots and lots of cactus and sand! It's awesome. Oh, and don't forget the border issues and ethnic hostilities too between the rednecks and the illegals! They also have a worse football team and franchise.
laff laff laff Dave Hyde @davehydesports Close Strike that: They are NOT out of the running. Dolphins are in the running
Enough disinformation floating out there to choke a donkey. I don't think anyone really knows anything.
Now some of you are arguing over "quality of life" rankings and deciding we are out of the running for Manning because AZ is better than S. FL.? LMAO..... out of control.... Look you can't think for someone else. Everyone is different and weights positives and negatives of any location to decide whether they'd like to live there or not. Personally I'd NEVER want to live in AZ. It's a boring and dead place overall. JMO. It's my opinion because I prefer a more diverse atmosphere and love being near an ocean. There are people out there that LOVE AZ however. So none of you can sit here and decide where Peyton Manning would rather live. Never mind the fact that he already does have a condo in S. FL. Anyone think of that before spouting off about him not wanting to come to S.FL. because of "qaulity of life". Also I would imagine that the "quality of life" in areas is a pretty small factor as well. It's not like Manning is picking a city to live in forever. He's just going to play there for a few years. The guy wants to win and assessing ownership, coaching and team rosters will factor much much more into the decision. There are a lot of variables going into this decision for both sides. You shouldn't trust ANYTHING coming out from these media whores who you know that just want to put anything out there they can to get attention. Just sit back, calm down and wait for official news releases from the parties involved.
