I would be surprised if he picked Denver. Played his whole career in warm weather, and coming off an injury at 35...all of a sudden gonna go play home games in freezing cold Dec/Jan weather, in mile high where the air is thinner than normal on top of the cold air. Just seems bad for him, for a cold weather guy like Brady it would be nothing.

If he picks Arizona over Miami I wouldn't be too shocked...but Denver I would be. I still slightly expect Miami...but realize the front office can blow it. Not that Arizona's FO is so great.

Denver's weather is not that bad. Plus Denver usually plays on the road in Dec. Its not like Miami has 16 home games either. Buff NE NY can be cold too. It was in the 60's here in Denver not 25 :)

Ariz has the most talent and weak fanbase
Miami is where his condo is
Denver has most cap space easiest division weather is worst but not as bad as alot think.

I still wonder if a sleeper team doesn't swoop in at last minute and beat us all. Manning won't come to Denver because I want Teblows era over so bad.

    It will be Miami.

Denver & Arizona don't have Publix. Which means they don't have Publix subs.

All of you are stupid for not realizing that.

    Duh.

Is there a good link for crazy Arizona fans updating Peyton manning info. The Denver site announced they're going to bed and will resume updates in the morning. Lol

I just thought they were a longshot from the beginning and after he left the odds went out the window, imo.

I still think it'll be 50/50 with us and AZ.

Arizona doesn't have the money. They have major cap problems. If they wanted to make room for manning they would have to cut a few valuable players. If they have to get rid of players to get him, why would he want to be there?

Namely, Kevin Kolb, but they could make room if they really wanted to.

They have Larry Fitz and a way better stadium.

they still need to make room to sign their draft picks. They're just not in a good position with their cap. Denver is in the best position as far as the cap goes. We are in pretty good shape.

In the end I think Peyton would rather replace Matt Moore as opposed to Kevin Kolb or Tim tebow

You keep saying this, but I'm not even sure what you mean. Tebow is a terrible QB and Kolb hasn't really been better than Moore at all.

Well the Cardinals traded a 2nd round pick and DRC for Kolb then gave him a huge 5 year contract.

And Tim Tebow is, well Tim Tebow. The media loves him and Manning is represented by the same agency.

they were brought there to start for their teams. We never planned on Matt Moore being our starting qb it just happened. There's a lot more people in this world that know who Kevin Kolb and specially Tim tebow is. Unless you're a dolphins fan, you probably dont know who Matt Moore is. In my opinion, Matt Moore is much more replaceable.

This isnt what he said though. These are reasons their TEAM wouldn't replace them. He said Manning wouldnt want to. Makes no sense.

Peyton just seems like a classy guy that is not only respected by all, but also respects others. I'm pretty sure he didn't enjoy being replaced by luck and I dont think he would enjoy messing up someone elses career.

If Peyton wasn't available, those teams would keep their current QB. We all know that we would still replace Matt Moore even if Peyton wasn't available.

If Zona wants to create space all they have to do is cut or trade Kolb before March 20th which is the official start of the league year. Right now his salary counts an 8M roster bonus payable on that date. Arizona would end up doing that anyway likely if they signed Peyton. But screw the cards and broncos; Peyton belongs in Miami!

they would only cut Kolb to sign manning. If they dont get manning, they keep Kolb.

A handful of other points regarding peyton:
    1. Miami offers him something Zona and Denver cant: An elite LT.
    2. Miami offers him something Zona and Denver cant: Two shots yearly at Brady and Belichick to prove hes better.
    3. Miami offers him something Zona cant: The cap space to sign Wayne and Clark if we wanted to.
    4. He already lives in Miami. So he gets to be near his family.
    5. Zona is where careers go to die...Edgerrin James, Emmitt Smith, Kurt Warner (even though Warner made one last run)...Zona is the new Florida; retirement village.

    Here and there
Peyton also knows its a business and he is gonna go where its best for him. i think its irrational to think he will turn down Denver and AZ because he will squeeze out the QB that are there. Just sounds you're trying to rationalize a reason why he goes to Miami.

Manning will go where he feels he fits best and feels more comfortable period regardless of what the current situation is. since the organizations are pursuing him it must be what they want as well.

If the "agency" mattered why wouldn't he visit Kansas City instead of Denver? Their a contender but my biggest fear is the Cards...better WR core, no rain every damn day, awesome facility.

Unfortunately the limelight of South Beach is more likely to dissuade him rather than attract him.

BUT??? We afford him the chance to return to Indy next year and kick the dawg crap out of Isray and crew.

Sign Manning and Clark and we become dangerous.

If Manning happens I would think Charles Clay might be a better option to catch footballs than Dallas Clark.

this is about what Peyton wants. I have no concrete evidence to support what I think and you dont have any concrete evidence to oppose what I think. Its my gut feeling. I'm usually good at reading people. That's why I like the game of poker.

Um Clay is on the roster
    Clark is not.
Young healthy guy who made plays as opposed to an often injured guy who was way over used.
    Easy!

    Apples and oranges.

But I don't doubt Manning could elevate Clay, he'll Brian Hartline is a potential 1,000 yard WR with #18.

I love mike Wallace. But would they sign him with him having a first round tender? Also I think the front office would be more likely to land Reggie Wayne to appease Manning. That's just my feeling that's what Ross would be willing to do to show Manning he is serious.

Not a fan of piggybacking Colts players. I know the Steelers are looking for a first round pick for Wallace. Would they take a two?

Forget all the nonsense about respect and appreciation Peyton is going to go to the team that gives him a chance to win the Super Bowl faster. If he joins MIami he has to contend with powerhouse New England and the Jets at least 4 times a year.

Both Arizona and Denver offer him a chance to win their respected divisions much easier than in Miami with a lot of change going on.

I think that matters more than anything financial to Peyton his window is very short to return to the big game and prove everyone wrong.

I think it's a given that wherever Manning signs, Wayne follows. As for Clark vs. Clay, there's nothing to talk about. As long as Clark is healthy, he's head and shoulders better than Clay. Not to mention the chemistry that exists between he and Peyton. Call me crazy, but I go hard after all Colts that I think help this team. That list includes Saturday, and possibly Brackett too if he fits the defensive scheme.

To anyone else but Peyton I agree. But, Peyton is the ultimate competitor. I just don't see him looking for the easier path the the playoffs. Going up against Brady twice a year is something that I think is working in our favor. Those two guys LOVE going H2H.

As much as I would love to have a speed threat with good hands, I think one first rounder is too high a price to pay much less two. I think this FO just needs to do what everyone else seems able to do, and that's to draft our own deep threat.
