You sir are lucky I blew $3M on Patterson and Babineaux (no regrets on it either) because I would have expected Soliai to be $6M+

If I was running a 3-4, I would've taken Soliai to about 7.5mil or so.

Damn shame he went for that cheap. Oh well, I'm in love with the way my D-Line is looking so far. Good pickup Boik.

Bengals sign 25 year old DL, Leger Douzable ($400k).

Very cheap, very underrate defensive lineman. He'll be a solid rotational player, who is very good against the run and can rush the pass fairly well. Again, we are staying youn

The Tampa Bay Bucs would like to welcome:
    WR Marquest Colston $16,000,000
    OC Todd McClure $300,000
    FB LeRon McClain $300,000
LB (& ST Ace) Tim Shaw $300,000
    S Hussain Abdullah $300,000
    CB Marcuss Trufant $500,000
    S Tom Zbikowski $300,000
    CB Kelvin Hayden $300,000

I overpayed for Colston, but I don't really care. He's good for 1,000 yards and 7 TDs every year and was the only #1 WR available. But after overpaying for him I got some steals as far as I'm concerned. I got 6 guys who have been solid to very good starters in the NFL all for 500k or less.

    - Kendall Langford - Solid young run stuffing 3-4 DT.

Paired with Demarcus Ware, Sean Lee, and Jarrett Johnson, McClain rounds out the best LB corps in the NFL. We also have guys like Chris Kelsay and Victor Butler on the bench :D

The Chargers welcome William Gay (300k) and Deon Grant (300k) to our secondary. Both were solid tacklers last season, Gay with 53 and Grant with 55. And both got their hands on a good number of passes, Gay had 14 passes defended and Grant 9. We expect them to challenge for starting spots at corner and safety.

Bengals sign CB, Brent Grimes ($10,300,000)

This gives me possibly the best CB duo in the league (maybe most overpaid duo, but still dominant nonetheless) to go along with one of the better pass rushes in the league. This also allows me to keep Brandon Carr as a #2 CB, where he succeeds, with Grimes covering #1 wideouts. Opposing QBs should be scared.

There is still plenty of time left in this GML. I know what I'm doing.

Also, I'll gladly come at your OL with my DL, Boik :) Carlos Dunlap vs Levi Brown, Adrian Clayborn vs Derek Sherrod? Geno Atkins vs anyone.

Levi Brown doesnt start, hes a reserve swing tackle. Gilbert is solid at RT and faced Dunlap 2x last year and allowed 0 sacks to him. So Dunlap just doesnt worry me much. Plus my interior OL of Sims-Pouncey-Jake Scott is extremely strong, very mobile and allows few sacks or pressures.

You have some quality on the DL but you need a speed rusher in there somewhere.

Bengals bring back DT, Jonathan Fanene ($600,000) and DE, Frostee Rucker ($300,000).

This gives me 5 capable DEs now (Dunlap, Clayborn, Johnson, Rucker, and Moats). Fanene is also going to fit nicely as a rotational pass rusher at DT, just like last season. My goal was to get Douzable and Fanene for cheap to serve as my backup DTs and I did just that. $1mil for both players combined.

Bengals sign OG, Carl Nicks ($11,300,000)

This completes my offensive line, which quite possibly is the best in this league (At least, pass blocking wise).

The Bucs are happy to welcome (and welcome back):

    CB Rashean Mathis $1,500,000
    OL Jeff Faine $300,000
    TE Travis Beckum $300,000

We badly needed help in the secondary and Mathis has been one of the best in the league for a long time and we are very excited to get him at that price. We're happy to get Jeff Faine back and happy he took a pay cut of $5.3 million to return to our organization. Beckum is a guy who we feel has great upside and made some big plays as a Giant.

since I have a great pass rush, I felt like I needed some run support also. Possibly the best run stuffing 4-3 DT in the league.

The Pittsburgh Steelers would like to welcome pro bowl LG Ben Grubbs to the team for 9.5M. Pittsburgh was 14M under the cap at the time and figured we can spend the money or not but the Rooney family shows a commitment to winning like few other owners so they went to GM Boik14 and said "Use it well. I suggest using it at a position of need. And if we're going to use trade acquisition Derek Sherrod at LT as planned then it might not be a bad idea to get a great LG." Looks like GM Boik14 took the advice to heart.

The Steelers now have a pretty solid OL:
    LT: Sherrod
    LG: Grubbs
    C: Pouncey
    RG: Jake Scott
    RT: Marcus Gilbert

Depth: Levi Brown (LT/RT), Rob Sims (LG/RG)

The Colts welcome both Laurent Robinson and Early Doucet to the team.

With Pierre Garcon and Laurent Robinson working the outside as Early Doucet works the slot, it should give Andrew Luck plenty of targets his first season as a Colt.

The Tampa Bay Bucs are extremely excited to welcome DE Robert Mathis to the team for $11MM. We felt he was the best defensive end available and are excited to pair him with Michael Bennett with Bowers coming in as a situational pass rusher, and with Gerald McCoy and Brian Price in the inside. With the passing game at a premium having pass rushing is a must and not only can Mathis and Bennett get after the QB, they can also both play the run.

The Chargers are happy to welcome Antonio Garay (2.5M) and Mark Anderson (7.5M) to the team. Garay will come back to SD and anchor our base 3-4 defense as NT like he did so well last season. Anderson will be used as an OLB in our base 3-4 and a DE in our 4-3 on obvious passing situations. We look forward to having his pass rushing abilities (14 sacks and 18 QB hits last season) compliment the rest of the defense.

Cowboys are elated to welcome SS Craig Steltz.

Steltz was extremely impressive in limited action for Chicago. He is very fundamentally sound and instinctive. We anticipate he will turn into one of the better strong safeties in the league.
