Don't know if this was posted, but for those who are concerned about whether PM could coexist with Philbin in an WC Offense Bill Polian says yes and then some. At the 6:58, 7 min mark. It's a good interview.

This was also discussed by Cris Carter, Mort, et al on ESPN. Even at this stage in his career, Peyton is a hard worker and a learner. He is one of the smartest QBs in the league and can learn any offense. This was shown in his probowl performances. IMO Peyton loves football and is willing to learn any kind of offense.

There's certainly going to be a learning curve, but there really shouldn't be a whole lot of concern with Manning, or for that matter any other NFL quality quarterback to learn an offense in an off-season. I don't think you really need to be concerned about the offense fitting him, either.

I've been saying this for a long time.
If you honestly believe that Manning will have any problem in a WCO: Kill or Castrate yourself. This simply is not a legitimate argument.

Heard another analyst say he learns every offense coached in the pro bowl, when he played in it those few times :wink2:

We've been spoiled by too good QB over the past decade+. It's been so good that we don't want Peyton Manning because of the type of offense we run.

Its not that he can't learn it. Its just the WCO doesn't exactly suit his strengths.

How does an offense that relies on a short passing game and a very smart and accurate QB not suit Peyton Manning? He's one of the smartest and most accurate to ever play the game. The WCO fits him to a T.

This is silly. There isn't an offense that doesn't suit Manning. The only issue here is his health.

Honestly the WCO is perfect for Manning. A lot of the throws are anticipation throws, even if Manning loses a tiny bit of zip he can more than make up for it with his mind in this system. Even in that 27 second video he doesn't have a Pennington arm, so he should be fine.
