Mike wallace is a restricted free agent meaning he can be signed to an offer sheet and if the steelers don't match he would cost a first round pick.Personally I don't think we could afford him but
imagine hopefully a healthy manning(I know they are going to sign him and I have not been pro manning because of his health I hope I am wrong)and mike wallace to pair with marshall. That is a scary combo. In the real world watch the pats get wallace with the 31st pick.

    Well away from here
He was given a first round tender? Even if he was its not automatic that they would receive a first, the teams could always mediate the situation and come up with their own value vis a vis the trading of draft choices.

Yea its a first round tender and the steelers are against the cap so its doubtful they would match.

It'll take a hell of a contract along with a first rounder to get him. Any team with cap room and a low first rounder should look into it.

    1. Trade down to the Bengals #17 and #21 spots (maybe they are targeting Trent Richardson or DreK???)
    2. Trade #17 to the Giants for #32, #128, and 2013 first round pick (idk why the Giants would want to trade up to 17, but just go with it)
    3. Use #32 to bid on Mike Wallace
    4. Draft Cordy Glenn at #21
    5. Draft Vinny Curry in the 2nd
    6. Draft Brock Osweiler in the 3rd
    7. Sign Anthony Collins
    8. Sign Peyton Manning

I like the idea of trading down and then maybe using the 1st rounder. No way would I give a fat contract and 8th overall!

Absolutely not. I would rather the Dolphins draft Trent Richardson with their first round pick than trade it for Wallace. Richardson would be a far more productive addition to the Dolphins offense than Wallace would ever be.

Would it be a first round pick this year or next? I can't see how it can possibly be this year???

How does the system work? Say a team has two first rounders, how do they determine which is lost? If it's the lower of the two, I can see the Browns signing him. They really have no one at WR and a lot of holes to fill. A young guaranteed solid receiver would give them a good situation with another first round pick to use. If they go out and get Flynn, they have a lot of choices with their other first.

Just looking at how successful Green Bay's offense was, without a player quite like Wallace - I supposed Greg Jennings is somewhat similar - it seems quite superfluous to use a 1st round pick on him, when there's no long-term solution at QB. That, and there's far more important pieces the Dolphins also need than another WR.

Of course it makes sense. We can reach for Tannehill at #8 and if he doesnt work out just play him at WR too:up:

The team has to give up its original pick if it has two.

I saw we take him and sign Flynn, our receiving core would be better the. GB i wouldn't give the 8th but I'd sure as hell pick up a second in the process

No. It is entirely too much to give up for a disposable position.

Not unless we somehow traded way back in the 1st round. If that was the case then I think he's worth it.

For someone like BAL or NE, it'd be a great move, imo.

I think a better question would be, "Would you trade down with the Steelers for Mike Wallace?"

If we would have drafted Wallace and stayed away from Pat White.... And developed a QB. That we drafted.
Instead we sat on our hands and drafted Turner at 87. Wallace went at 84.

Hes not worth both the huge contract and the 1st round pick hes a legit speed wr but for a mostly purely speed guy that's a lot to give up

He's a lot better than you're giving him credit for. He can run all kinds of routes and he's pretty polished.

Had a rough year along with the rest of that offense.

If and that is a big if you land Manning you better get a speedster who has proven it.
I think it has good value.... IF.

At least he plays feckin' offense, right?...but nah, he's a fringe player that we already drafted last year. Steelers always be tryin' to victimize a sucka.

He's a player that would be worth looking at if we were picking in the bottom half of the first round but if we traded #8 for him I'd think we have a dumb front office.

I agree hes a very good player but we would be then stuck with 2 huge contracts at the wr pos and be giving up our 8th pick in the draft seems like crazy talk honestly to me. I do agree we need a legit 2nd wr and hartline is not the answer maybe we should trade down to 15-17 range pick up a wr there and draft a tackle/guard in the 2nd with picks we get.

i' m absolutely positive New England will make a play for him, they need a deep threat, pick very late in the 1st round, just makes to much sense for them

And I will be absolutely furious that they get him, young and fast...won't stop me from drafting him in the second round next years fantasy though...if he's a pat
