Rick is in badass mode and FINALLY realizing there are no more "cops", no more "good and bad" people, it's all about surviving.....period.
yeah that was nice there at the end. Nice to see Olive Oil's car drive off the road too. She totally deserves whatever is coming to her
LOL Wifey and I had a good laugh with the Olive Oil line. Wonder if thats a inside joke with the actors that they wrote into the show?
Hopefully they include more of Daryl in the next episode... he's definitely one of my favorite characters.
I don't know what was more predictable this past weekend, her flipping her car over in a crash or Whitney Houston dying? I mean, what the **** was she thinking in just driving after them for no reason? If they spend an hour on her being eaten by a walker it will be the highest rated episode so far.
I don't mind her but it has more to do with the fact she was on one of my favorite TV shows ever... Prison Break.
Nearly all the women on this series are complete idiots (including Sophia obviously). The blonde has been better lately though. Season one she was terrible.
The start of the 2nd half of Season 2 was great, imo. I like the way it ended and it sounds like more snowbirds are headed their way. I'm interested to see what happens with Daryl, he seems about to go off the deep end. I wonder if his brother will ever show back up, outside of a dream sequence.
Agreed all the women are completley annoying. The blonde is absolutley ****ing unbearable to me. The short haired abused wife/mom of sophia needs to go ASAP, and Ricks wife.....well, lets just say I hope there wasnt airbags in the older Ford Taurus'
YES YES YES! Not saying I agree with the wife-beater's actions...... but'I understand. Casting director must've approached his interview with an open ahole to land this gig. The only good characters are the dead ones. The red-neck squirrel eater isn't bad, and neither are the 2 old men of wisdom. They basically wrote off the most powerful actor after lopping off his hand and leaving him behind during the first episode. Terrible f'n casting job for a show with such promise IMO. Maybe the show's objective is to leave watchers eagerly anticipating the day these women get torn to pieces. Unfortunately AMC managed to turn this into a monotonous drama rather than edgy thriller/horror. And where's the fuggin humor? How do you have zombie stuff and no humor?!!!! Idiots!! I swear a middle-aged uppity woman had to write this show.
Your taste is up your ***. The show would not be compelling without the character development that has gone on. You can't have a zombie show without character development, it would be tiresome and old very quickly. The zombies in this show are nothing more than a plot device. You can have non stop action in a movie because its over in a couple of hours. A series is different. And you're momma dresses you funny.
I was a little disappointed that it took so long for everyone to get back together on the farm. But from what I saw in the a sneak peek of next weeks episode it looks like they will finally leave the farm.
I actually like a lot of the cast. Whoever plays Lori is an awful actress but the rest aren't that bad, imo. This shows biggest problem is the writing is just awful and it ultimately kills the characters. Esp Dale. The guy who plays him is a really good actor, but the writing for him is absolutely ridiculous.
No **** ****head. I'm saying---- get better characters & and improved script to them more enjoyable to watch develop. well you cant do it now cause it's too late. But in a parallel universe that's 2 years behind us but with the capability of seeing into the future, they should do it. This show's like Little House on the Prairie meets crappy CGI zombies. Get a real gore guy like Robert Hull for the special effects rather than some nerd screwing around on his computer. All I'm sayin. It would've been way more immersing if they had a guy like Robert Hull do the special effects (like he did in "Laid to Rest". Awesome low budget horror with outstanding effects) No she doesn't. dick.
I hate the writing, too.... but I'll have to disagree on the cast (simply b/c they don't leave me clamoring to watch their development). 5 or 6 of them do, but that's about it. The show doesn't even have a hot chick. How do you have a zombie show and no hot chick? So that's a minus against the characters, too, IMO. lol. The asian kid's ok. The sheriff seems like a glorified pu*** IMO. If they want a sensitive, caring sheriff, then get someone who looks like he should be a bad *** so that he offers more depth. Just my nickel.
I agree with most of that. I think that blonde chick is a nice piece though. Maggie is hot too but they never show her that way. Rick's australian accent is annoying as hell too
lol. Agree on all this too, Slickster. The blonde could be nice if they let her be.... but it's like they purposefully try to make her as unappealing as possible. I understand Maggie's supposed to be the mentally tough and stable one, so it's ok that she isn't portrayed as some half hottie. The script reminds me of a student who spent a week aimlessly working on a 10 page English Lit fictional story, got stumped and threw it aside for a while and then suddenly remembers a week later it's due in the morning. lol. "Ok, I'll move em all to an isolated farm cause I could write 4 pages quickly on that, and then I'll tie it up with a shocking ending hoping my teacher will forget the 4 previous pages of crap he just read".
They rely a lot on keeping you interested in what's going to happen next week, and unfortunately that tends to be disappointing sometimes. The last half of the last week's episode was not too impressive to me, but it seems like they're planning on running the show for quite some time with the way it's going. Lots of time to improve some things.
I just think it's funny bc Spoiler The minute they kill Shane, they kill this show. Of course they don't have to do that, but it still seems more likely than not.
I don't see that happening, at least until the 3rd season. He's a good guy/antagonist that brings a lot to what happens. In a lot of ways he's taking care of business and watching out for his own, but in other ways he's doing things that would seem morally wrong in a regular world. That's where he differs from Rick and why they have a problem.
I thought tonight's episode was great, especially Spoiler the conflict between Rick & Shane throughout the show. And a lot more zombie action tonight. The best one so far since the season picked back up, imo.
totally agree... best episode in a long time. This second half has clearly picked up strong. When the episode started I was like "damnit, I missed an episode!!"... There's a fancy name for movies, tv series that start off in the current then go back in time...
