Urban Meyer is kicking *** recruiting when you factor in its a team that isnt eligable for any postseason play next season. And after swaying an instate kid from Wisconson, cartoon character Bret Beilema complained about INTEGRITY, SPORTSMANSHIP, and even went as far to call it illegal. Well the dumbass was busted out on 1460 former Buckeye LB Brian Rolle said Beilema and the rest of the Wisconsin staff was trying to get him to jump ship after he committed to Ohio State well before signing day.... Im sure Meyer will be reminded to go for 2 up 28 in the 4th next chance he gets.
Well, technically it is against Big 10 rules isn't it? The real problem is, why the hell is that a rule? Coaches should be able to pursue any kid they want regardless of if he's committed.
Supposedly its an "ethical" agreement between Big Ten coaches, although Meyer and Hoke never heard anything about it. But no, no actual rules were broken..Meyer just pissed Bret off.
Alvarez said there's no such agreement about not recruiting a kid who has given a verbal. I hate Meyer, and think he's shady, but he didn't do anything wrong this time. He lied when he said the kids called him (read he said that anyway...). Kid he got from ND said Meyer kept calling him, and he initially would say not interested and hang up. Meyer obviously got thru to him eventually lol. But either way, Wisconsin coach is just complaining.
