    Hello,

I have many names I like and here his my list :

QB : Flynn obviously, but if we can't get him I am all for wait 1 more year to pick barkley or Landry Jones at any cost next year, and in this case for 1 year stopgap with matt Moore I like david Carr , Drew Stanton, and why not..........Brady Quinn (nothing to loose with them and they will be cheap).

RB : I would like to see another year of Stanton (perhaps in place of lex Hilliard)

WR : Dwayne Bowe, and if we must choose only one player to upgrade Moore/Wallace, I would pick Mark Clayton or Patrick Crayton

TE : Finley, John Carlson or for 1 year stopgap Schokey

OL : Nicks, Grubbs or Zuttah

DL or LB ( if we go 4-3) : Mario Williams and Broderick Bunkley and in LB Mc Intosh, Morrisson, Poppinga, Gooden and last year we should have kept Dobbins for ILB depht....so dobbins

CB : Truffant is my choice and behind him Kelly Jennings and phillip buchanon ( nostaligic here)

SAFETIE : Laron Landry, Deon Grant, Atari Bigby and Paul Oliver

Opinions guys and have a nice day !

    DL- Calais Campbell
    OLB- Anthony Spencer
    LG- Carl Nicks
Safety- Michael Griffin or Dashon Goldson or Reggie Nelson
QB- Chad Henne at a salary commensurate with a #2 QB to backup starter Matt Moore.

Not that I think Mario Williams becomes available, but he certainly elevates our defense to elite status, IMO. could impact us like Peppers has Chicago.

IMO, neither Dwayne Bowe or Shockey adds value to this team. they duplicate what we already have.

If we're going to spend big money in FA, the obvious choices are QB - Flynn, LB - Williams, OG and safety. If we can cover 2 of those 4, we'll be a much better team, not even including the usually boost you get from the first year coach.

Luv ya Mr C, between you and Stitches, the naddering ninnies of trivia, I have to wonder if you just stare at rosters, or google every name posted, in the hope, the mere chance, a wrong first or last name is used.

Goldson/Griffin and Spencer are my top two targets. I don't think we'll go for Nicks just based on his asking price. He can make the case for being the best Guard in the league right now. I think we may be able to draft a guy in the third or fourth to fill that position and of course Brandon Washington is who I mean. If we go O-line in FA, I still think Tackle is what we should be targeting, unless you think we should move Carey back to guard (?). Campbell is a solid player and we definitely should give him a look if we let Langford walk.

In that scenario, signing Nicks, I'd either draft Martin or Reiff at 8/9 or let Murtha and Jerry battle it out for RT.

This mentality hardly ever works, IMO. This is what most were saying LAST YEAR in hopes of getting Luck. Barkley will probably be next years LUCK.

You have to factor in the escalation of the hype from the media from year to year. Barkley will be as hyped as Luck is this year, which means the media doesn't think he's as good as Luck or the hype would be more than it was for Luck. Its a sliding scale basically.

Brady Quinn deserves another shot! The kid never has gotten a fair shake.

Carl Nicks is my personal favorite.

We need a free safety more than we need a strong safety. Bell can give us atleast another solid year on one side. Tom Zbikowski might be worth a shot at free safety.

I see this as a logical strategy. I don't expect that we'll let Langford walk though.

If we have to pick between him and Soliai I think it would be interesting. I would also depend if we switch to the 4-3. I love Langford though and hope we can keep him.

I think that's the key. I expect that a switch to a 4-3 would look to replicate the Giant's model (or Dolphins from the JJ days) of having waves of DL who get pass pressure without much blitzing. I think Langford fits that better and probably cheaper.

I think keeping Henne on the roster would be a mistake. Let the team move on. Nicks asking price will be very high. Let's see if the priority is the OL or another QB (Flynn).

I wish they would get Peyton Manning and then draft ( I cant beleive I am saying this but ) take Levy Adcock left tackle then go after a defensive end and db markell Brown.

Soliai over Langford for me. Soliai will do well in the 4-3 in a one-gap scheme, very well in fact. That gives you for strong DTs and if you draft Quinton Coples at LE you have someone that can go inside for pass downs. That's a set DL. In the second you draft a MLB and your defense perhaps at most needs a safety after that.

What's our cap situation? How many FAs can we realistically chase? Will we have enough cap room to sign another premiere FA if we go after Flynn or Manning?

Noticed your signature Mock. Jake Stoneburner is staying in school. I like the mock but I like Cordy Glenn better than DeCastro. If the Dolphins sign Mario and Flynn I'd think that would be all the Dolphins could afford via FA. Of course, that would be enough for me.

I thought I was the only one that noticed this habit of a few always looking for reasons correct people about inconsequential stuff. It got to the point for me that I have stopped posting much anymore. Seemed like every time I had something to say I'd always get at least one person correcting something that adds absolutely nothing to the thread. I use to only post in the members area because most of this kind of stuff only occurred out here ... but it found its way into there also and is the biggest reason why I didn't bother renewing my membership.

I totally understand your point and have thought the same thing a few times. I personally dont care if someone has a problem with my spellin or grammar or whatever. They can complain all they want. If they want to pay my membership, I might think about changing. MAYBE.
And the reason I pay the membership is to help out, at least a little, with the cost of this site. I have no idea what it takes to run something like this, but I figure I enjoy it so much, I want to help out some, so maybe it is around longer................and I dont mind it a bit.

Thanks to all who take care of this place, seriously.
