These are from McCleod Gange at the Northern Tip of India. The Tibetan refugees stay there and the Dalai Llama stays there, as well. A magical kinda place... My brother Josh, same dad different mom... I don't know who dude is, but he kinda looks like Leonardo Dicapprio.
Wow. He travels the world and lives life to the fullest. You make jokes on this message board. Genetics aren't fair are they?
Being a Himalaya Playa isn't all its cracked up to be...India usually wears your *** down before revealing something amazing. The Dalai Llama wrote a book where he discusses this proclivity to drowning yourself with experiences, he called it "adventuritis". Staying in McCleod Gange is like fat camp for my brother. Western culture just destroys him when he comes back, mostly fast food and loving mothers who like to feed him to death. But yeah, I am a little jealous because I've been there. It truly is an adventure every day...
if your brother is still in India, Advice him to head for LAHUAL-SPITI. The Rohtang pass should b opening up by now.
I'm pretty sure he's the yeti in any scenario there... This may interest you, though: He met this girl who drove her motorcycle, by herself, from Switzerland across Europe, through Iran and Pakistan to India...That's courage mixed with stupidity.
guys there are no women on this board. So you can stop making up words and trying to sound all worldly.
Then what exactly do you call Finascious D if there are no women on this board? You inconsiderate jackass.
only in such small towns, mate. In cities, its safer in hotels. Believe me, you dont want to live in guest houses in cities.
Exactly, I wish I had met her so I had a better understanding of her angle. Seemed like a death wish or rape-fest to me.
that chick is out of her mind, if she went through middle east and pakistan all alone. Some people think world is full of flowers.
I'll definitely keep it in mind. Always stayed in hotels except when I went to Anjuna Beach in Goa. The Portugese certainly know how to make some cool houses with their extensive use of patios. I really liked the parks in Delhi, So sprawling and creative with great views of the giant mosques. I remember thinking everyone was having sex in the park because of what looked like empty condom wrappers everywhere. Only to find out later it was chewing tabacco.
DELHI is THE worst city in India. Hop to Calcutta, Andamans, or even towns like Ajmer, Gangtok. Its worth it.
sooo... One of my colleagues, informs me, that the rohtang pass wont open, till April. Guess Lahaul-Spiti will b out of question. Pity.
Nah, he's on route to Delhi as we type. He's on a dreaded 14 hr bus ride with a little dysentary to boot. LOL...Livin' life to the fullest!
Yeah, but that park was littered with tons of those wrappers. I thought it was some kind of mass orgy going on.
I admire that woman's courage. As a guy, I've always had the typical, "I can generally protect myself" attitude with the full understanding that while I may end up in a situation where I can't protect myself, it's not worth not doing what I want to do out of fear of what might happen. Women, having less upper body strength, too often IMO, view everything through a prism of fear.
Believe me, I know how he feels. I've had that experience b4. Both in country, and outside. Luckily, he wont have to deal with the smell of stale piss and sweat in the winter. And if he's not carrying water tabs, he's in for a bad case to loo.
