Probably the best new Dolphins logo mockup I have ever seen

The original logo is bad because it wasn't done well. It looks like it was a bad xerox of poop. On top of that, a cute dolphin with an oversize helmet is not the right look for a football team.

Somehow, out of that, you get people hate sports logos with letters?

 

The dolphin does have an angry face though... i don't see a problem with it being 'cute'. Perhaps would you prefer the Miami Honey Badgers?

 

Please....Jimmy Johnson brought to us a Dolphins that looks mean and has fight in him.

At least that is the way the new logo was sold to us.

Plus, like Arnold the pig, he has personality. Personality goes a long way.

The orange and all aqua was pretty awesome.

 

hell I would even love it if Miami got rid of the navy in their logo. Here is a concept I had a long time ago, simple change, but i think it would be a nice one.

In a strange way it doesn't bother me. I kinda like the helmet...the uniforms, not so much.

 

That's got potential. I don't care for the aqua numbers and socks in combination with the navy, but otherwise I think that's more along the lines of what I sort of envision as a complete overhaul of the current uni. Definitely like going to navy as a primary color.

It's like the creator was getting baked while tweaking the helmet's original design and was like:

 

You've never seen a dolphin with a helmet on?


That's because Dolphins don't wear helmets in the wild.
Dolphins aren't Aqua either
So what?
The Dolphin represented in our logo wears a helmet because he is a mascot for a F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L team and he's aqua because that's our team colors.
It actually fits and is pretty clever.

This isn't a schematic for a science class.

This discussion always amazes me at how ridiculous it gets.
