Ah. Well nothing changed over the 4 months so if there were conditions under which the pick would escalate they must have been ridiculous conditions since as we all know Reggie went over 1,000 yards.

Very valid point and a great illustration of how even the best GMs in the league don't hit on 100% of their picks. Hell, hitting on 50% makes you a pretty good GM in the NFL. It's not as easy as saying we want a franchise QB and then waving a magic wand and having a franchise QB. Even if you spend 1st round picks on QBs they're not guaranteed to pan out. Even if you spend the 1st pick in the draft on a QB they're not guaranteed to pan out. And even then a lot of QBs who do pan out that are 1st round picks never get past the good level to the great level. Brady, Roethlisberger, Peyton, Eli, Rodgers, Stafford, Brees are the only guys I would consider to be on the great level. That's 7 guys out of 32 NFL teams. The odds aren't good.

-_________________________________________________- Im just playing with him. But Matt Moore is not better then Flacco. Flacco knows how to win games. There are some flaws in Flaccos game the biggest one being he is inconsistent. But most of the time he is good. He went in to New England last week and almost beat the pats. Joes has been the quickest QB to get 40 wins or something like that. He has taken his team to the AFC Championship game 2 years and they have never missed the playoffs. While he has a great D, there have been some games where he has had to put the team on his back.

    Joe Flacco
CMP ATT YDS CMP% AVG TD LNG INT FUM Rate
    2011 Regular Season 312 542 3,610 57.6 6.66 20 74 12 9 80.9
    2011 Postseason 36 63 482 57.1 7.65 4 42 1 1 96.1
    Career Stats 1190 1958 13,816 60.8 7.06 80 74 46 28 86.0

    Matt Moore

CMP ATT YDS CMP% AVG TD LNG INT FUM Rate
    Regular Season 210 347 2497 60.5 7.20 16 65 9 9 87.1
    Career Stats 437 739 5137 59.1 6.95 32 66 26 15 80.1

While there stats are similar the competition Flacco has had to face over the years is a lot better then the competition Moore has had to play the past years. The Steelers have had a top 5 D since Flacco has been in the league. The Bengals havent been bad 2 out of the past 4 years. While this year the Pats had an awful D the Bill D is not very good and the Jets D wasnt that good this year. Flacco is better the Matt Moore will ever be. He knows how to win. They arent looking for Joe Flaccos replacement in Baltimore, they are looking for Matt Moores replacement. Flacco is that franchise's QB and he will be for 5-10 more years. Not every qb is gonna be a Tom Brady , Drew Brees, or Aaron Rodgers. Joe Flacco is right below that class of QB and has a chance to be great. I mean look what he did in the AFC Championship.

If you're going to tell someone to shut up, tell them they don't know what they're talking about, and claim you have all this "knowledge" it would be best to not make a typo, and then make a typo trying to correct your typo.

I dont know man i was just kidding around with him i meant quiet and misplaced the E then the second time i forgot what I said and was to lazy to read so I just thought I mean quit. What I meant was QUIET. But I was just kidding around. Sorry if me misplacing the pesky E ruined you day. My bad man. Im really sorry. Something on here is probably misspelled too and Im sorry about that. This is a forum so im not all to concerned about my grammar but I know I should be because i dont want to ruin your day again. My bad. Im just tryin to be like you when I grow up. I hope one day I can fix someone else's grammar on a Dolphins forum too

I agree with a lot here Nasty except the part where you feel he regressed, I think the player was at least as good as his rookie year, with a little ascension..and in Nfl circles, a Qb who stayed on par in his 2nd year relative to his first year is considered a proper progression rate.
