His record with Jax was impressive but his record with the Giants is amazing.

If the Giants win this SB, its time to crown him a HoF coach.

Yes. He's just not the sexy pic. When he wins this SB he cements himself IMO. Of course look how they dog Tom Flores.

Coughlin gets a bad rap imo. He gets results and his players like him enough to come through every time his job is on the line. I dont believe there is a coach who has won two SB's that is not in the HOF. So to answer the OP's question, it probably cements him as a HOFER

    Pretty simple really.

    Win and he's in.

Otherwise he's going to be one of those borderline cases, like a Dick Vermeil.

He'll still be on the hot seat when he's in Canton.

If he wins this year will they want to fire him next season if he does not?

If they win, I wouldn't be surprised if he retires. And Bill Cowher would all of a sudden be hireable.

These are Giants fans/media we're talking about here...what do you think?

Seriously though...it's a joke how much sh*t he gets. Numerous trips to the playoffs, 2 SB appearances, and 1 win (possibly 2). He's obviously doing something right. Maybe NY wants him out because he looks like death, I dunno.

Its funny, but i picture it like this: He is what people think Fisher is but isn't, but is treated how Fisher should have been treated but wasn't.

    this..

i never understood the Jeff Fisher fascination as a head coach. solid, yes.

but underwhelming IMO. i do like Coughlin. strikes me as a bit of a throwback.
