Not the most reliable source...... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ng-retirement-report-from-an-unlikely-source/
That would be a shame if true. Although if it was a choice between seeing him in a Jets uni and retiring, enjoy gardening Peyton.
Even if it wasn't Rob Lowe (hilarious by the way) I'd still be very dubious of this report for the simple reason that there is no need for Manning to decide to retire right now. It's only January. He has no idea how he'll feel next week, let alone in March, May or September. Unless he just doesn't want tot ake any chances, he has plenty of time to think about this
Wow he went from starting at the beginning of the season, to out for the preseason, to out a few games, then out for the year, then retirement (If true).
NFL on Sirius reported Irsay is denying it. Reoprts all day have been Manning isn't backing off the prospoect of the $28 million dollar payday. Lowe should stick to lame Austin Powers movies.
He seems like a classy guy. I think if the doctors are telling him that he won't play again, then I don't see him dragging this out.
Perhaps that could be a good thing... as an opposition player are you going to sack Manning if you know you could end up paralysing the guy? just a thought :P
