If this team doesn't acquire a top rated QB and I'm not talking about bringing in Journeymen options this offseason I swear and you can write this down I swear I am done with the Dolphins for the foreseeable future. I have been watching and supporting though critical at times of this team for the last 20+ years.

If they again go into the offseason without a real solution or picking one in the first round than I hope with all my heart that the team becomes the very worst team in the history of football and this owner has no other choice but to sell the franchise because he cant get anyone to show up at games.

This year was our GOLDEN opportunity to just SUCK for Luck. Say what you wan't but seriously we had a chance to fix the franchise, energize the fan base, and finally solidify our QB problems for the next 10+ years, but no we had to win some meaningless games that did NOTHING but hurt us..

So now I don't care what it costs ROSS or Ireland you HAVE to fix the QB issues this off season. Moore can have a shot but we need a real veteran #1 or a trade up to acquire one.

Anything less is a complete failure.....................

I'd get ready to find a new favorite team then.
I don't know what option this team has to find a top rated QB.

If you can't get Luck, then:

    1. Go for Peyton and/or
    2. Get RGIII or Flynn without giving up future picks or
    3. Get Wheeden, even in the first or second round.

The value of a draft pick begins and ends with getting us a QB. If Wheeden or Manning can be a franchise QB for only 5 years, you do it and in the meantime try to get their replacement every year. Same with Flynn or RGIII, keep trying for a qb until you find your guy.

    My thoughts exactly lol.

bringing in a QB... possibly.... hopefully.

"top rated QB"? might as well pack your bags now

Andrew Luck: I'd trade 3 first rounders + ANYONE on the roster. Maybe a second rounder in 2013 and any D-lineman we got. I don't know if I can draw a line in the sand as to how much I'd give up.
RGIII: I'd trade our 2012 & 2013 first rounder + our 2012 second round pick. That's the line in the sand for me.

Well I will PSG not that anyone here should care, but I'm done with the bull**** from this team, finished Im not spending the close to 1000.00 a year I do on them anymore! Let them find some other sucker im tired of support a loser.

Year after year after year we see teams who have sucked for a few years stand tall and come back to life. 1 time this team did that and than immediately fell back to ****ville.

I don't care if they have to trade the entire draft if that's what it takes to fix this they have to do it. YES I SAID TRADE THE ENTIRE DRAFT though they won't Im saying they need to do WHATEVER it takes to get a true franchise QB. I have zero faith in Ireland to draft a superbowl team. So if were sticking with him we need to purchase our team.

I however have a feeling that they will try the Kyle Orton experiment to fill the void..

I am with you guys on the RG3 skepticism, but I am just saying that there is no "too high a price" to pay if you identify a franchise QB.

Problem is that I don;t think Ireland feels the same way.

IMO, we should be on the phone with Indy for Luck, and as soon as they say "NO", we should immediately pivot the conversation to Peyton Manning.

I don't think they will trade Manning. If anything they'll release him and I'm sure he will not consider the Dolphins seeing as this organization is a joke. How can a 0-16 team a few years back be in the playoffs this year while our team is still garbage and STILL "rebuilding"?

We have a good defense in place minus another pass rusher opposite Wake and maybe both safety positions. Time to admit that Bells age is catching up with em.

Anyway, time to just get a quarterback in the 1st round. Consider Luck already gone so RGIII is the only one left and that's who I want. And if anything I'll rank RGIII higher than Luck on the simple fact that RGIII showed he can kill and win a bowl game.

People who use the "we have other needs" excuse seriously need to open their eyes and realize that a QB comes before anything. Once you get a QB in place THEN we can go on by drafting BPA or what have you.

I think they'll go after Flynn and overpay him in the process. I wouldn't say the same deal that Kevin Kolb got but something similar for a system QB that will be garbage in Miami.

    1. We don't even know if Peyton will play another down in the NFL.
    2. You won't get the #2 pick without giving up next year's #1. And I have no interest in selling the farm for Griffin. Flynn I agree with. Best option we have.
    3. Weeden is a huge reach at 8/9. Maybe we get him with our 2nd rounder, but I doubt it.

Of course this all based on if he's healthy. If he is, he's the first option.

All I'm saying here is, don't give up picks next year, and get either one. Don't care which.

Why is he a reach? A possible 10 year starter at any other position is less valuable to us than a possible 5 year franchise QB.

But you can't trade the entire draft just for the sake of it.
Assuming Indy won't trade the 1st pick, and Peyton is done, what the hell else is left?

I think it makes total sense. Manning will want to go to a place like the 49ers with a coaching staff already in place, #1 defense, solid offensive line and alotta weapons.

I think our best option is Matt Flynn, and even he's no guarantee.

Or he'll want to stay in his division to punish the Colts. Or he'll want to go be a back up in New Orleans since that was his team growing up. Or he likes the weather in Miami. Or he wants to go to Buffalo and try to be the first QB to win a SB there. blah, blah, blah.

You don't know what his motivation is. None of us do.

Meh. Griffin looks like the real deal to me. Cam Newton had his doubters. He DOMINATED in 2011. I'll be sure to mark your words. You can mark mine. You gotta roll the dice on a dynamic QB. I think Griffin is the guy. His passing efficiency is through the roof and he's a world-class athlete. Oh, and he's smart as a whip. This guy could be the face of the franchise for 15 years.

Not sure I consider the Niner to have "alotta weapons."
The have a great TE and a couple of WR who drop the ball alot, one of who is petrified of getting hit.

True but the thing that I said makes more sense. Manning is 35 so I'm sure his mindset if released is either A)retire or B)go to a place that gives him the best chance of winning another championship. 49ers are the best option for choice B IMO.

The Giants gave up 3 draft picks, which resulted in Phillip Rivers and Shawn Merriman. But still won a Superbowl not too long after.

I hear you. I was a strong doubter of Brady Quinn. I didn't think he was any good. However, when he fell to #9, I thought, man we GOTTA roll the dice on this kid and draft him. In that moment, I was willing to suspend my skepticism and just go with the fact that we might draft an elite QB prospect.

I'd much rather see us sign Flynn in FA and have him come in and compete with Moore to be the starting QB, as opposed to trading up to get a guy that in all likelihood will take 2-3 years to groom.

I'd then like to see us trade down in the first round to pick up another high round pick (another 2nd rounder possibly?). Then, just take BPA with an emphasis on areas of need.

To trade up for anyone not named Luck could be a huge mistake IMVHO.

I dont know about that man, see the franchise HAS been screwed up for years without going for it. At least we can rest knowing they had the balls to reach for a real potential home-run.. This team coaches and drafts scared... Everyone is scared for their jobs and plays it safe whcih equals decent but not awsome..
