How's this for preferred seating on an airline! Guess I'm never flying JetBlue. :sidelol:

I kinda agree with the pilot but he should never have been allowed to be on the plane in the first place jump-seat or not. Besides, he wouldn't have to wait to use the restroom.

Just curious, but How do you agree with the pilot? Would you feel the same if you were that guy stuffed into the bathroom for a 3 or 4 hour flight?? While I do agree... he never should have been left on that plane, pretty ridiculous that the situation even happened in the first place. Or is that maybe what you were referring to?

    but..
I wonder what happened when someone else on the plane had to use the bathroom... Oh excuse me bathroom dweller... do your business... oh thanks, theres your seat back sir. haha yikes.

What a strange story this is.

That would be terrible but if he gets 2 million out of it, I think he'll survive. Ill volunteer to sit there for 2 million dollars.

he could have refused to allow anybody to sit on "his seat". That would have shown them.

that's crazy. But I've flown JetBlue very recently and it's a pretty good airline for the average traveler. My fare was very reasonable, and also they have the roomiest seats for coach. I'm 6'2" and it usually sucks for me to fly since I can never be fully comfortable with the leg room, but I was very comfortable flying on that airline. Also they had the cool Satellite TV in the back of the headrests for each passenger. My only complaint was that they had XM instead of Sirius satellite radio!

This will not deter me from flying Jet Blue, always use them when i go to the Fins game and will continue to... I love their airline, spacious and DIRECTV..

Kinda wished this happened to me though for that lawsuit. He may not get 2 mil but he will get suttin...

The latter. He shouldn't have been stuffed in the bathroom but overall, he shouldn't have been on the plane to begin with so the fact that he got to his destination earlier than he should've been would be enough to shut him up. Sorta reminds me of the time I visited China and had to sit on the roof of the train. That guy should be grateful it was the bathroom and not outside the plane.

How do you agree with the pilot ? If the Pilot told me to get up and go the bathroom I would have said now way got worry about flying. Was'nt the flight attendent the one who gave uoer her seat? I fshe gave it up she should deal with beging uncomfortable

I thought I made myself clear and mentioned how in my earlier post....

I agree that the guy should never have gotten on the plane in the first place. I can understand why the pilot might be hesitant about letting a passenger sit in the jumpseat, which is usually either in the ****pit or pretty darn close. The guy wanted to sit there and I dunno about you but having a total stranger sit watching you work in a small area would get me antsy. And I dunno if it had any factor but if he's of Middle-Eastern/Indian appearance judging by his last name, Multhu, that might ring some warning bells in the pilot's ear and after 9-11 there have been restrictions made on who can sit in the jumpseat. I know it's politically incorrect thinking but it is reasonable if you're the pilot considering what's happened.

I am surprised it is only 2 million. This sounds like a complete disregard for one's safety and health and I wouldn't be surprised if the government looks into this. How is this safe at all? I think government regulations state that all passengers need to have a seat with a seatbelt at all times, even if it isn't in use.

I would expect closer to 10 million unless there is some kind of cap for lawsuits where he is at.

Besides the safety concerns, it is just bad business sense on the behalf of the pilot and flight attendant. Your comfort is not to come first, the passengers (i.e. the paying customers) are supposed to come first, regardless if it was a comped flight or not.

Just when you thought you had seen it all...

Guy should have never been allowed on the plane if they knew he would have to sit in/near the ****pit. Aren't there regulations concerning passengers access to the pilots area?
