I'll take Marty, he's only had two losing seasons out of 21(?). Yeah, he's a playoff bum, but he's proven himself better than Fisher. Just get the best offensive mind you can, that might be Billick, might be one of the Packer coaches. Effin' padded cell talk...
Moore fits perfectly in to that list other than Brady.. I don't think we can say for certain that Moore is better or any worse than most QB's on that list.. Mediocre... I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a QB that performs above mediocre. I'm done falling in to that trap...
First off, he is entitled to decide where to go in his own time. Second, the fact is Ross did NOT put a timetable out there, so you can't get too pissed because he hasn't made a decision (or at least made it public). Third, maybe Ross and he did agree on a timetable, but that hasn't expired yet. Fourth, Ross will likely move quickly once he hears from Fisher and they have not been stagnate and waiting, they've been aggressive with interviews. Zimmer, Bowles, Philbin are all intriguing. Even Kelly from Oregon is potentially out there. Fifth, the world won't end if Fisher chooses the Rams. I think we fans are all interested in moving on, but this isn't a quick process for either side of this. It's certainly nerve wracking, but we just have to wait and see....
Wait, Bum....did they have the draft and FA already ?? You mean they didn't get anyone other than Moore on the roster ?? Geez, let's let the offseason play out here before the talk about the how the sky is falling...
I'm the last person to Suck for Luck or to wish that the team lost. However, I'm not inspired by our prospects, especially with Barkley playing another season... Moore was nice to watch, but if we can't trade up for RG3 (who isn't a lock either IMHO) what are we going to do with the position? Trade the pick down in to the late 20's and take a shot at Weeden?
I don't have a problem with Fisher taking his time and making sure he's going to the right place. Knowing the type of guy he is, he's likely calling his prospective assistants to get their opinions abut where they'd like to be. It isn't like we have a game next week. Geez.
Hopefully that part is true. Because if it is the Dolphins are shoe-in. How many sane people would choose St. Freaking Louis over South Beach.
But settling for what you have, when what you have is nothing more mediocre isn't the answer either. We know what Matt Moore is. We don't know what Matt Flynn is. By using that rationale we shouldn't draft a QB, ever. Because we don't know if any of them will be better than Moore.
The rumor (RUMOR) I heard is gaining steam. Unconfirmed reports that an UN-official press conference allegedly to take place later this afternoon, though that also cannot be confirmed at this time.
So can I celebrate Jeff Fisher being our new head coach, or should I wait until it's official?? I'm already excited!
Appears so. I think Fisher has gotten all the LEVERAGE (leverage) he's gonna get out of this situation. For once, it's nice to see someone else (the Rams) were the ones getting LEVERAGED. #leverage
No. These are still rumors. We're on the bed and have the skirt off, but...well, you know where I'm heading with this analogy so I'll just say no, not yet.
The other thing too, if Fisher does come here, other than from a gamecalling standpoint. I do think it makes free agents and the like consider Fisher as the coach and want to come here and play for him. Just a thought that could be beneficial as well. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk
I've been to both places several times. I'd have to get a HUGE raise to move to St Louis. No thank you. I'd move to Ft. Lauderdale in a heartbeat.

Seriously, to me, it will mean that maybe we've finally started to right the ship and can get back to the way it should be. Which is the Miami Dolphins being one of the crown jewel franchises of the NFL.
In this analogy I'm still trying to decide if I wanna "slip it in". I might end up regretting it. But I'll probably do what I've always done and drink 6 more beers till she's pretty and make the best of it!
Mike Berardino thinks all of the Fisher to Miami rumors are Fisher's people trying to get the Rams to up their offer. Hope he's wrong.
Finnegan is a good player, however, his history as a dirty player gives me pause. I was at a Titans game once where an opposing offensive lineman's helmet came off in the middle of a run play. Finnegan saw it, immediately charged full-run into the guy from behind, lept into the air, and elbowed the guy directly in the back of his unprotected head. I saw the whole thing, and it was VERY much on purpose. It was, quite frankly, one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen from any player. There was a big fight that immediately followed. Now, he was drafted under Jim Schwartz, and was playing under Chuck Cecil at the time. Schwartz has a reputation of building a very dirty defense. See: the current Detroit Lions defense. Chuck Cecil was known as a maniacally dirty player in his time as a safety in the NFL, also has a reputation for coaching up dirty tactics to his defense. Since Schwartz and Cecil left, Finnegan hasn't seemed to have the same troubles. It really depends upon who the DC is. However, just looking at Xs and Os, Finnegan is a very good player. Good ball skills, and very physical. If he can keep the dirty stuff to a minimum, I'd put him in the slot on passing downs, and leave VD and SS on the outside. That could be quite lethal. He would almost certainly push SS out of a starting role in the Phins base defense. However, you can bet that whomever Fisher would bring in as a DC would do their best to make SS into a more physical player. He would be forced into developing into the player he could be, or he would be gone. It's that simple.
In this link Rosenhaus say Fisher to Miami and will be announce later today... Lambardi says Fisher leaning towards Miami, but he can change his mind, why are these reporters afraid of being wrong. Dam I am wrong atleast once a year. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/videogallery/67304901/Sports/Audio-Insiders-say-Fisher-now-leaning-toward-Dolphins
Of course a report like this has to come out.....just as I was getting excited.....they reign me back in.
