IMO, Cowher/Gruden were #1, and Fisher was #2 on the list. If Miami could have convinced either of the first two to come out of the TV station, they would have done it.

Is it possible Fisher said no to both teams? I find it a little strange that both STL and MIA are interviewing more candidates. That doesn't really align with reports that say Fisher's decision will happen any day now.

If he can't give either team an answer yet, it would be negligent if they didn't keep interviewing.

This isn't deep. Until you get an answer you keep looking, there are other teams looking you know, if you lose and haven't done your homework you're screwed.

 

Maybe fisher doesn't want to get reminded of "the tackle" everyday walking through rams facilities with super bowl trophy and portraits gleaming because of his defeat.

 

It would be pretty cool if out of 16 seasons he got the Rams to the SB once, only to lose to the Titans by a yard.

 

I don't find it strange at all. You can't sit around waiting for something to happen, or the fallback option you might like might be on his way to Jax or Tampa.

If he cares about coaching again, I doubt it. I think the longer a coach like Fisher sits out, the less desirable a candidate he becomes. Out of sight, out of mind. I could see him holding out for a better gig, though.

 

Raiders fired Hue Jackson, hopefully they don't start looking Fisher's way. I don't know if he would be interested but rather not have to deal with more complications.

 

Hue would be excellent OC candidate for us, particularly if we hire Zimmer

I think he's genuinely torn between two franchises because of what they offer. I have no idea what St. Louis would offer over Miami other than Sam Bradford (eye of the beholder though for him, IMO) but they must have a few things Fisher likes. It's essentially a life-changing decision for him because I am sure his intentions are to be the head coach of the franchise for 10+ years. I understand why the decision is taking a while because he HAS options (unlike most potential head coach candidates), but the selfish part of me wish he would hurry up.

Of all the coaches which have showed interest in the job so far, Fisher would most definitely be my first choice. As far as believing this source that Fisher has already agreed to coach the Dolphins and a contract has been agreed on. I just find it odd that if he has agreed to come to the Dolphins, why has none of the major football insiders not yet reported this?

I tend to agreed with those on here who have stated that this was just a way for this individual to increase traffic at his twitter account. I won't believe Fisher is coming to the Dolphins until Fisher himself says he is coming.

 

Yeah, if the report from last night was true, I suspect someone reputable would've picked up by now.
My guess, is the "real" journalist have read the tweet but haven't confirmed it, or have just ignored it completely....in retrospect, it's looking like that's what we should've done too.

 

Well, I'd love to see Fisher in Miami by 5 pm tomorrow, but the thing is this is not hurting our offseason as we kept the GM in place, so the draft a nfl free agent evaluations are still ongoing, the Rams have no such structure in place, and perhaps worse they have the same scouts in place who've "found" the talent that led to 10 wins in 3 yrs.
