Yes. I absolutely thought the same thing. I was actually expecting a follow-up interview that was never announced.

There is absolutely nothing that backs up that statement. You're talking about a guy with a 74.2 rating in 26 career games. Using the new QBR on ESPN Bradford finished the season with a worse rating even than.. wait for it.. Mark Sanchez.

I'd still take Bradford over Matt Moore. And I suspect Fisher will as well.

It's his career's funeral if he wants to go coach that abysmal franchise. This is the usual flawed thinking that 'well if he went number one overall he must be good.' That's just false. Fisher doesn't have to go with Moore here if he doesn't want to. He's stuck with Bradford probably if he goes to St. Louis.

Well, it looks like that's the way he's leaning.
    I wonder why?

I have no idea. It's crazy to me if Bradford is the reason. Supposedly Bradford is a 'nonfactor'. But why is he meeting with Bradford?

The Rams owner first met with Fisher in Denver. Today the owner of the Rams is meeting with Fisher in St. Louis, along with the Rams QB Sam Bradford, also meeting with Fisher. This certainly appears to me that the Rams have just as much interest , if not more interest in signing Fisher, than the Dolphins. I certainly didn't read anything about Fisher meeting with Matt Moore when he was in Miami.

At this point, I am going to be completely shocked if Fisher turns down the Rams and decides to take the Dolphins job instead.

I would love for the Dolphins to be STUCK with Bradford. In fact if the Rams want to take RG3 with the second pick in the draft, I hope that the Dolphins trade whatever it would take to get Bradford. I think Bradford is going to turn out to be one of the better QB's in the NFL in the coming years.

This has all the indications of another Ross failure. Only interviewing one proven HC so far. Not closing the deal, or even getting him back in the building as the Rams did. Backup options appear to be unproven guys, not someone like Billick or Shotty who has had success.

Wayne made his share of bad picks but he could close a deal.... This isn't buying a bloody building, the most $$ doesn't always convince.

Does not matter if Harbaugh was coming or not. What matters is Ross flew out there with his clown GM in an attempt to hire a coach when he already had one under contract sitting back at his training facility. Do other teams owners do this, publically ? No, never heard of it ever. Sure they send out their henchman to meet with coaches and go back channels or thru agents but never, never in my life, have I heard of a friggin OWNER interviewing a propective coach with his GM in tow while his HC was still under contract. If anyone has heard of this same case by another owner then please enlighten me. And to add, he flew out there to do it then tried a bs the whole fiasco away and then got fried trying to do so. I wish he would sell the friggin team to the guy in LA and get out of the business and let the team move on. The man is a clown big time.

Ross lost all respect from any decent HC with experience in the NFL. Sure he will get a slew of assistants to stand in line to take his money, beyond that, no, the guy is a clown. This is not bs real estate deals where everyone bs everyone. Its football of which Ross has no clue.

Exactly what "Decent NFL coaches with experience" are we missing out on? We interveiwed Fisher who is keeping his choice to us and STL. Gruden extended with ESPN and has interviewed nowhere in the league. Cowher doesn't seem interested in coming back and also isn't interviewing anywhere else, and reportedly turned down a preliminary inquiry from San Diego as well.

Who then shall we pursue? And what exactly makes experienced coaches better candidates?

According to a Rams beat writer:

"Who'd have thunk it? Apparently Stan Kroenke's jet was unavailable because Jeff Fisher flew in and out of St. Louis on Southwest Airlines!"

IDK where you sit on the Fisher for HC decision VinnyF, but this is certainly a surprise, typically a Owner will lavish attention on a new hire Head Coach, dude is flying Southwest?

Wayne H put Saban on his corporate jet and that was that...

Eh, not wild about all of this drama tbh, want my Head Coach to be so hyped to coach the phins not a guy who is a mercenary, Fisher is a good coach but I'm a bit put off by all of this.

    Story out of StL is:

"Kroenke's jet was not available because fisher flew in via Southwest"

Which seems odd, normlly a guy like Kroenke would charter a flight to make an impression.

Of those four, Philbin. Definitely don't want Mularky anywhere near Miami. And Toub, IMO needs to move into the responsibility of a coordinator role before he jumps all the way up to HC.

well guys I will say it and I know he is a college coach but Les Miles is not Nick Saban and Les Miles is a coach who has the balls to play anyone anywhere as ooposed to the guttless coaches of Sparano and Cam Cameron.Les is perfect for miami if Miami isnt going to man up and change offensive approach and comeinto the 21 century. Les is Gutsy he takes risk so I am officially on the Les Miles Bandwagon

He wants to talk it over with his family, which is odd as he is divorced and his youngest is in college at Auburn.

And no, he flew open seat, coach.

Of the four, Only Fisher really excites me. I agree with what you said about both Mularkey and Toub. And I'm not sure Philbin is really all that qualified to become a HC either.
The news of Zimmer today is intersting and still don't understand why Billick isnt getting an interview.

Southwest does not have first class or coach. I love it, check in early and you can get basically high on the A numbers and sit wherever you want to. The only thing Soutwest does for its frequent flyers or business people who lfy all the time is assure them of a real low number on the A list. They board the plane in that order, As Bs Cs and of course people who need help, preboard, go ahead of everyone. Works for me, I always get an aisle seat ahead of the engines in the front of the plane
