    the poor house
with all the crap Mr. Ross has put us all through and the team 's image is so low that even Lamar Thomas or Terrell Buckley could run this orgination better then Ross.

its so sad that the Pats Jets and Bills can do no wrong but Miami can do right.

remember the days when we all grumbled about getting to the 2nd rd of the playoffs and getting blown out .

remember the days when Ricky went on his world tour on a sabatical ? remember when the dolphins wore the orange jerseys and we would win.

remember when Dave would say we have never been so close .

remember when media pundits would not lock the pats the division champs every damn year ?

remember when Randy McMichael would put Zach Thomas in a head lock and made him cry Feidler ?

remember when the dolphins went to broadway and starred in the broadway musical Feidler on the roof and Twinkle toes Taylor would dance around like a blind squiral ?

sorry guys but i am trying to keep my spirits up by clowning around a little bit . So feel free to post ypur memories when time were good.

I miss those days too, but I don't understand why everyone is so freaking critical of Ireland and even Ross.

Ross is pouring as much money as he can into this team. He was willing to pay more for Harbaugh, and then when he botched that deal he came back and gave Sparano a 3 year extension (which cost him even more money). He is trying to do the right things for the team regardless of money. He is willing to pay more than anyone for Fisher. He has tried to "upgrade" the feel of the games. When things failed he went back to traditional things (that awesome banjo song when we score TDs, etc). He is trying and willing to do what it takes to see us succeed. He has taken a few misguided steps, but by his pure effort and money that he has invested has been a hell of an owner. Hell he bought the remaining tickets to games that didn't sell out so that it would be broadcasted locally. Give the man a break, he is doing his best to make us a contender again. If he could just spend $50 million dollars to make us a top team I am sure he would do it in a heartbeat.

    Oh yes.. I remember when:

Wayne BEGGED JJ to stay even though JJ wanted to quit on the team.. I remember that outcome.. A graceful way for Marino to leave Miami.. 62-7
I remember when we decided to pass Brees not once but twice.
I remember when we were a hot destination and inherited the Southern Charm of Saban.
I remember when Ricky took off to smoke some weed and the rest of the team imploded.
I remember when Wanny was fired and Bates actually had this team playing well and with passion.... And we went for the big name in Saban.
I remember when we passed over Tomlin because Cameron seemed like a nice guy.
I remember when we drafted Tedd Ginn and his family.
I remember when Wayne signed Parcells to a no commit contract, a 1 year fixer upper before he sold the team to Ross. A contract that Parcells could wipe his *** with once Wayne was gone..

Yup, let's blame everything on Ross and pretend the last 10 years have actually been better than the previous two.

I remember the best QB in the history of the universe that nobody else wanted running this offense for 17 years. I remember the winningest coach in the history of the NFL leading this team to winning seasons and playoffs and Super Bowls for 26 years.

I CAN agree with you on mr Ross but think a lot of people are tired of Ross making the team look bad. I dont hate Ireland i just dont like his draft picks.

Remember the "glory days" of Dave Wannstedt when we at least appeared in the playoffs...as opposed to being eliminated in October or November.

And people used to complain about going 9-7 or getting demolished in the divisional round....Oh I'd take that any day.

The problem with that is objectively, the best part of Ireland's tenure has been his drafting.

1 is playing due to necessity. Don't make it sound like the Texans pulled off a coup.

    FUN!!!

JC...the GREATEST QB of all-time with the best release of all-time.

Shula used to say it doesn't take long for it to go from Dan's brain to his feet or to his arm.

Perhaps the slowest QB to ever play with the GREATEST movement within the pocket.

If he truly wanted the Dolphins to be a successful football team, he would spend money to hire someone who actually knows how to build a winning organization. He should also make the one move which would improve the organization immediately, fire Jeff Ireland. As long as Ireland is the GM of the Dolphins, it really won't matter how much money spends on the Dolphins, because they will remain a bottom tier NFL team.

I "cant" remember the last time we stirred up the pond, and challenged for so much as a conference championship.

I see it as a stagnant layer of sludge, thats stewed just beneath the surface for well over a decade, and primarily whats responsible for the incessant stench that Dolphans are reacting to, at virtually every move this organization makes.

Now, like a giant open cesspool wafting in the breeze on Sunday afternoons, todays team finds itself playing directly into a foul, flatulant wind. One that bears a collective flush, of years long since passed.
