Here is a nice casual conversation between Ed Reed and Brandon Marshall discussing whether or not there should have been PI on the Revis 100 yard INT return earlier this year.

They go a little deeper and discuss the nuances to playing on both sides of the ball and I enjoyed this vid a lot.

    http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-netwo...Open-Locker-Room-The-art-of-pass-interference

For the record, Reed agrees that there should've been a PI.

Marshall laughed and said he didn't have Simpson's ability to make those plays on NFL TA access. If you listen closely BM said he doesn't have the ablity to get in the endzone consistently. I laughed. With sarcasm meter on.
Reed agreed. And laughed at Brandon.

Yes, the other video regarding the Simpson TD was funny too. Two stars having fun on the air. Nice to see that side of those guys.

I like how Reed answered the question about stopping Simpson from doing that on the Ravens; "Keep your eyes open and look at what you hit, and we're coming out to hit" to paraphrase.

I can't even watch it, honestly. It seems odd that they were talking about Jerome Simspons play when the title says they're discussing Revis's touchdown.

Marshall was referring to the ability to do a flip into the end zone, I believe. Not that he can't get in the endzone.

I dont undestand, you defend a below average cornerback in Sean Smith anytime anybody says anything negative about him but you bash our first elite receiver since the Marks brothers?

Really? Marshall was referring to the fact that he couldn't do a flip. Can't wait to watch Marshall in the Pro Bowl.

Marshall is what he is, a Pro Bowl player between the 20s...and a practice squad player when it comes to running patterns in the end zone.

If I am not mistaken this year only "one" TD came as a result of running a pattern in the end zone and his number has probably been called 15 times. I think his focus was on keeping his feet in bounds on that play. Marshall needs to get targeted outside of the end zone.

It appears to me Marshall isn't able to stay in control of his emotions. The bigger the moment the less the player. It happens, he isn't the first player to be like that. Marshall is the Chris Weber of WRs. Great skills, great player but don't count on him to be clutch.

I liked the interview and besides that play and one other in the red zone, I thought he played really well in the first meet.

That was obviously what they were saying. I never understand why people post such obviously incorrect things. Do they assume that nobody else will notice? Are they so self deluded they didn't even realize they had it wrong. Or do they just care so little about their credibility that it's worth getting the zinger in.

Haters gonna hate. Aso's performance this year should remove all doubt that Revis is the better of the two, especially considering NYJ's troubles against stopping the run this year.

You seem to have a problem with our best defensive end in team history and one of the best wrs in recent memory.
I can see people blasting players like chad henne who never amounted to anything but to bash these two guys is just plain stupidity or maybe you are not really a dolphins fan.

If Brandon Marshall scores two touchdowns this Sunday, he'll have 8. That will be the second highest amount of touchdowns Marshall has scored during his career.

Also, if you compare Marshall's 6 seasons with Andre Johnson's first 6 seasons in the NFL, you will see that Marshall has produced more touchdowns than Andre Johnson.

And Larry Fitzgerald's catch percentage is lower than Marshalls. Also, Welker is two drops behind Marshall this season, and led the league last season.

    But yea, he's overrated.

If Marshall would have had a better Qb for the first few games, he would have 10 Td's now...

Let's not pretend a better QB catches all those dropped TDs for him though.

Lets also not pretend that all of those dropped Td's were good passes. Everyone is quick to blame Marshall every single time he got his mitts on the ball when in fact not all of those passes were catchable. FACT

I like Marshall a lot but he drops too many TD passes in the red zone to be considered an elite reciever. Catch % is a nice stat but TDs are all that really matter and Megatron has 14 more of them in 1 less year. You can blame that on QB play if you like. It doesn't really matter.

A lot can probably be attributed to well-thrown fades. Something that Henne couldn't do if his life depended on it.

Fades, shmades. Stafford simply throws a jump ball somewhere on the field and Johnson comes down with it. It's not rocket science.

It really matters a ton! No one blames all of his DROPS on the Qb's but then again not all of those drops were drops at all. Just bad Qb play...

When the ball hits both his hands and he drops it that is not bad QB play. Just another excuse for inconsistent hands.

Insert Ted Ginn into this conversation and 99% of this board was convinced that two hands on the ball means catchable and therefore Ginn's fault. Why is this not the case with Marshall?

Get a life apart from hating. Seriously. You are getting infamous on here for your biased hatred and negative comments about Marshall. I actually think you are getting off on it with your anti Marshall posts. You are entitled to your opinion and posts but when u mention #19 when the post has nothing to with him then u make yourself a hater. And you do that by alienating yourself against your fellow Dolphin fans. Lighten the #### up bro. It's getting boring. Apart from that Killer I will say Happy New Yr to ya. :-)

You need to work on your reading comprehension. Where did I compare the two WRs? I was simply making a point about what is considered a drop and what isn't around here, more specifically that there are double standards due to who is being considered.

    Understand?

Read the ****ing thread title bro...... I'm not gonna sugarcoat anything just because of his name.
Marshall is put on a pedestal and I'm here to bring player fans back down to earth.
Brandon is not as elite as some might make him out to be. I know that much.
Concentrate on the posts please and not on me.....Thanks brother.

Explain to us how he isn't elite. Your number one issue with him was the lack of touchdowns. Well, he's scoring touchdowns now. So what is it?
